Haul- okay, don’t hate me for that, but… *drumming noise* Chanel Rouge Allure Laque Dragon! I found it on Marionnaud’s website (it’s a French retailer) and I think I got the last one. Apparently they’re going through their stock, there’s a bunch of discontinued or LE products available again (including some other Rouge Allure Laques). Best thing is, I got 20% off thanks to a code available on the internet. I hope it’s okay to write this (but if I’m breaking any rule, maybe you can edit my message Christine?). I figured other people might me interested.

Haul: Some drugstore items – Sinful Colors nail polish, some NYX from Ulta.
Weekend plans: Not much – we had plans that we had to cancel because we forgot about the Academy Awards (we live a couple miles away), that part of Hollywood is going to be a total nightmare all weekend. Avoid avoid avoid!
Pop of color: Lipstick or sometimes a bright eyeliner, but I’m also very happy with neutrals.
I can only imagine the nightmare it will be! My butt will be here promptly at 2PM for it!
When I first moved to LA, I thought driving by a premiere with the red carpet all rolled out was SO COOL. I even waited by a couple of them and saw several stars.
Now, whenever I drive by a premiere I’m all, ugh they closed half the street SO ANNOYING why are there people blocking the sidewalk SO ANNOYING more traffic SO ANNOYING.
guess that means I’m truly a los angeleno 🙂

Haul: Second week in a row of nail polish. Ordered the Zoya Imperial Russia Trio, snagged Carmen, Sweet and Ali with their Valentine’s Day code. And then set up my order for my Julep Maven box. All together, 10 nail polishes and Julep’s Rock Star cream. With that, I really need to invest in a storage system for sorting my nail polish. Right now, they all just sit in boxes.
Weekend plans: Visiting my father at some point. Otherwise, nice and quiet!

This week I had a MAC haul where I got the new double sided palette, one insert, some blushes that I hit pan on (Peaches, Well Dressed) and I purchased Harmony for contouring. I am loving the new double sided palette!

Haul: Wasn’t going to buy anything this week, but splurged on UB Ammo palette and also bought sin individually, as I use it almost every day.
Weekend plans: Dog obedience course on saturday, watching world championships in winter sports on sunday. 🙂
Favorite way to add a pop of color?: I can’t wear any jewelry (allergic to all metals), but scarfs or colourful eyeshadow is my way to go. 🙂 In the winter I also try to use colourful mittens and hats.
What’s your favorite way to use Sin?
Hmmm, it’s so versatile that I’ve used it in many ways, but if I’ve got little time, it’s great as an all over wash of colour.
My “regular” look is sin on the lid, naked up towards the brow bone, buck in the crease and virgin as a highlighter. 🙂 That creates a nice, but natural look and I’ve got so many compliments wearing it. I looooove my naked palette!
Haul: This awesome cheapie nail polish: Rimmel Blue My Mind-the color and quality literally blew my mind! Love it. Two Makeup Geek Eyeshadows-Cocoa Bear and Envy (super excited) and two Wet N Wild matte lippies: Cherry Picking (GORGEOUS) and Sandstorm (a great nude).
Weekend plans: Grocery shopping, house duties, and play around on my new Kindle Fire HD
Favorite way to add a pop of color?: I would have to agree with you accessories and lipstick make the outfit. Oh I also like a colorful liner on my waterline.

* Sephora Storylook Eyeshadow Book for Jasmine – Cinderella’s palette blew me away but it’s about that time to switch to warmer hues.
* Sephora Disney Collection Jasmine Compact – I think it’s a collecting/hoarding thing. The Cinderella one is so pretty when it sits on my work desk. I’ll probably use the Jasmine one for travel.
* Sephora Disney Collection Jasmine Nail Polish Set – An impulse buy. Then again the Cinderella nail polish set was also an impulse buy, and I love using the set.
* Sephora Disney Collection Jasmine perfume (rollerball) – It’s weird that a scent for Jasmine doesn’t have jasmine anywhere near it. Oh well, here’s hoping this perfume doesn’t smell like little girl perfume.
Weekend plans:
* One of the cousins is having a surprise party and doesn’t even know it! Love being in on the surprise fun.
* My husband just discovered he likes American Apparel T-shirts. (I told him his favorite screenprint tees were AA 50/50 shirts.) Hitting up the local AA store so he can stock up on more. Maybe I’ll snag some stuff too ;D
* Bought new bedsheets. This means heading to the big laundromat and getting pillows, large sheets, blankets, and everything cleaned.
Favorite way to add a pop of color?:
Daytime…
* Eyeliner – Still noticeable but not crazy nightclub eyeshadow during the day.
* Nail polish – I don’t wear much jewelry but I rock crazy colored nail polish. Brights like yellow or coral work really well with short nails.
* Shoes – I made a point to have bright colored flats.
Nighttime…
* Eyeshadow – I change lipstick colors a lot, like every time I eat or change my drink. I eventually settle for plain lip balm at some point. My eyeshadow doesn’t get to have a wardrobe change.
* Earrings – The ‘cray-cray ear rang’ are in full effect.
* Necklace or scarf – If my earrings are little studs for my night out, the thing hanging around my neck is likely bright and very loud.
* Clutch or bag – If you gotta carry a little purse to hold your essentials you might as well have fun with it.
I agree that it’s odd that the perfume has no jasmine in it!
Every time I see bright colored bags, I want. Then I have to remind myself that I don’t need them!

Haul: Rachael K CC Cream. I guess I took not have a bb cream in my collection to heart, and caved, although, it’s not technically a BB Cream LOL.
I love it unfortunately it does not work with my Bare Escentuals Ready Mineral Powder the way I want. I’ve tried a ton of different applications and I feel like the Ready Powder is a big fail. The Rachael K CC Cream does help the application but it still ends up looking like major powder of my face no matter how much I blend or how little I use. I’m not even sure I can successfully use it as a light setting powder.
So. I may cave again and end up buying a Mac Mineralize Skinfinish Natural. Would love to hear anyones thoughts on Mac Mineralize Skinfinish, especially those with combination skin! I’m gearing up for a Spring face makeup routine!
Weekend Plans: I may have a date… weather permitting, otherwise I’m double shifting. Fun Stuff! If I do end up having that date I might just end up like a zombie, but I’ve got my date makeup figured out just in case!

Favorite way to add a pop of color: I love using an eyeshadow over black eyeliner as a colored liner. My favorite is really vibrant blues like Inglot #428 (a really shimmery gorgeous blue.)

I got the Naked 2 palette (I know- I must be the last person to get this), the Naked Flushed and Basics palette, and a set of their awesome eyeliners. Yay!

Favourite way to add a pop of colour: definitely scarves! I don’t think I’ve ever thrown out a scarf – I’ve got some Liberty of London and Balmain scarves that are close to 40 years old and as lovely as when I bought them.

Haul: I didn’t buy anything, but my UD order came in the mail this week. The funny thing is I was most excited for Mariposa, and I added Ammo on a whim. I am totally in LOVE with Ammo and have barely touched Mariposa.
Regarding the Ammo palette, I had the least interest in Grifter, which looked too pastel for my style. So of course, Grifter is amazing. If it weren’t so glittery it would be HG material.
Plans: I have a wedding that I will be attending in May, and it’s time to start shopping for that trip. That’ll be fun. 🙂
Pop of color: A scarf, definitely! I love scarves. I also like the look of bright shoes and purses, but I don’t really own any.

I’m on a no buy..kinda, but I slipped and bought one thing. I went to Ulta to cash in on my Ulta points (I got Benefit’s Laugh With Me Lee Lee with my points), and I bought a NYX Butter Gloss in Peaches&Cream. No regrets.
Haul: Mac Rebel, finally! It sticks to my lips so well — better than all my other Mac lipsticks — and leaves a super pretty stain. <3 Next up is Viva Glam 1! *_*
Weekend plans: I'm watching Pulp Fiction with my dad. We've been going through Tarantino's movies lately. Also, might go to the mall to buy gold hoop earrings. I've been wearing silver forever, then I tried gold ones and realized how much they fit me better. (I have yellow undertone, so I've always known gold would look better on me, but I've always felt like gold jewelry doesn't fit my significantly rugged fashion sense. )

I snagged MAC Party Parrot – would you believe the Strength collection only JUST launched in Australia?? It doesn’t POP on me like Pink Pigeon does, but I do love it – I have so much love for MAC’s matte lipstick formula! I also bought MAC Soft and Gentle Mineralize Skinfinish, and MAC Fix+. Loving both so far, especially Soft and Gentle!!
My plans are to NOT WORK!! First weekend off in what feels like forever, even though it’s only been 3 weeks. We’re getting a new bed on Saturday 😀

Free for Haul: Still on hiatus. Just picked up some “routine” things, like nail polish remover and whatnot. Not really sure if the hiatus is working, though, since all I do in the meantime is add more things to my ongoing list to buy. 😛
Weekend Plans: My roommate and I are celebrating her friend’s birthday in the best way possible (beer). Then I have to spend the weekend rescanning my computer to make sure all of that nasty Scorecard Research malware that’s going around is gone and do the same for my roommate’s computer. 9_9
(Digression: For those of you who have noticed something called b.scorecardresearch loading in your script bar or noticed your internet running very slow, download Ghostery ASAP and use the program to block everything but widgets. This stuff is nasty. Several people have reported their personal accounts hacked, including bank accounts, and it’s infected some highly trafficked sites like tumblr, Livejournal, Flickr, even Paypal. I tried everything from disabling third party cookies and exception blocks on my browser to using a ScriptSafe/NoScript program, but Ghostery is the only thing that worked to block it.)
Best way to add a pop of color? Lipstick is my big one, but I love putting on a colorful belt or scarf, as well.

Haul: A couple of the Hourglass Ambient powders (I cannot remember which ones and the bag is still sitting in my car /o\) and the brush, plus the concealer brush #5, Fresh lip balm in Petal (the new one) and the Jasmine mirror.
Weekend plans: If we feel up to it we’re going to go furniture shopping tomorrow but our household is plague central at the moment so we don’t know how we’ll be doing tomorrow (I sound like a bullfrog, it’s really attractive…) and then Sunday I have to work.
Color: Lipstick, shoes, nail polish, any and all of the above 🙂

Favorite way to add a pop of color?: My wardrobe is almost entirelly black. It has been since I was about 13 years old! LOL! I love black with a pop of chartreuse or fuchsia – in a scarf or tie if I’m formal, a t-shirt or shoes if I’m casual, or BRIGHT makeup if I’m feeling fun (I’m a sucker for a wild eye look with a nice, clean suit – I think it looks awesome!)

I’m a sophomore in college and I recently started working in a research lab at school. With my first paycheck EVER, I got my eyebrows threaded (I’ve never even touched my brows before with waxing or tweezing), AND I bought a Chanel blush in Rose Petale to treat myself.
