Haul: Rich Core, Modern Pewter, Grand Galaxy and Superb from MAC Extra Dimension, Pink Tea, Immortal Flower and Modern mandarin from MAC Tres Cheek, Sugarpill Burning Heart palette.
Weekend plans: Not much. Hope to go to the cinema to see Cabin In The Woods, and might try to get to a Zumba class.

Only Bobbi Brown nude pink and Topshop Adrenalin nail polish (which is awesome – buy it!) this week…I had to sacrifice beauty buys for jewellery, a dress and shoes this week. Oh, and the most boring thing to buy ever – printer ink :@
Plans this weekend – dissertation and exam revision.

Haul: I just bought a handful of the extra dimension eyeshadows and Whisper of Gilt. I’m not sure how I feel about them yet. I also bought Immortal Flower blush and the Hourglass Immaculate foundation. 🙂

I don’t know why, but I enjoy adding “opotamus” to many things I call him. The other one I often call him is Stinkopotamus. I think he actually answers to “Stinks” now!
LOL! When my son poos his diaper, we call him Stinkopotamus.
I’m glad I’m not the only one using ridiculous names 😉 I call Mellan that… whenever, but after a week and a half from a bath, he does get rather stinky. We call it “Eau de Mellan.”
LOL. Eau de Mellan. Hahaha. And, imo, there are no such things as ridiculous names. Or ridiculous baby voices that you use to talk to your dog either. (*blush*) That’s my story and I’m sticking to it! ;P
Haul: China Glaze nail polishes in Lubu Heels, Stone Cold, and Prism. I will probably go back to Sally’s today while the buy 2 get 1 free sale is still going on!
Weekend Plans: Nothing…possibly catching up on my Sims game.

Haul: 6 OPI Nail polishes, 4 Essie Nail polishes, 90 polish rack (drilled the holes & mounted it myself), MAC Prep & Prime Skin Smoother & Sheen Supreme Lipstick in Gotta Dash & picked up a 4th eye shadow from the IED collection, in Havana.
Weekend plans: Polyurethaning a hammock stand & nesting tables, 1st cookout of the season on Sunday

Haul: replacement Too Faced Primed and Poreless, Sinful Colors nail polish (can’t remember the name, but it’s this crazy purple and turquoise glitter- love it!), replacement Revlon Photoready mascara. going to mac today so maybe more.
Weekend plans: work…sorta…i injured my hand so all they’re letting me do is stand in one place and greet people. so boring!

Weekend plans: Nerf battle birthday party on Saturday, then cross-dressing with some friends for our theater show. Can’t wait to do the makeup.

my lab, Ollie – he’s a fox red lab – he is ALL LEGS too! and he sleeps with us in our bed and there is just no moving that gangly sack of potatoes. know what I mean?!? like 80 lbs. of immovable love. he just had bday number 2. I’m shocked that Mellan’s fluffy friends aren’t torn to shreds – mine is a definitely destructive chewer. however, antlers seem to be the thing that lasts with him. ever try those with Mellan?
He has an antler, but he’ll chew on it for like… ever. Basically, until you take it away. It gets kind of gross! He actually likes his Nylabones a lot (of which he currently has four different ones), and he’ll chew on those for 20-30 minutes and then go to sleep. It’s funny; when it comes to stuffed toys, he chews but softly, so they take awhile to break down – mostly from just swinging them back and forth and then a seam will split.
Haul: Too Faced’s Natural at Night palette (a few unique, stunning colours in this one!), Tom Ford White Patchouli
Weekend plans: Sadly, Sunday is a funeral for a former student who died too young of what seems to be an accidental overdose

Every time I see your post on friday it puts me in the best mood! Mellan is sooo cute! I think that this is the best way to welcome weekend, even if mine will be boring and dull because of sore throat and tempreature.

Weekend plans: Dinner at a modernist, haute-Indian restaurant. Catching up on my DVR. I’m a bit of a television junkie. lol

Zola is beautiful! Does he really sleep with all of those toys?
He sleeps with as many as he can sneak out of my reach! I try to keep most of his toys in a big drawer but he has so many hidden around the house, it’s a bit of a lost cause. Vistors are often greeted with some sort of half-mangled “present” that he’s drooled over. LOL. The worst is that he feels my bed is HIS bed, so he brings about 5 or 6 toys up there with him, strews them all about himself and then calmly collapses on my Bavarian goosedown pillows as he half-heartedly gnaws on one while I rub his paws. And God FORBID you try to take one of his toys away! Spoilt brat. lol I’m afraid he has me very well-trained and I’m a resigned slave. 😉
Mellan just looks like a human in this pose…..in deep sleep all zonked out…..and appears like he is snoring. What a life!
He does snore occasionally! Haha!

OH MY GOODNESS MELLAN!!!!! I didn’t notice your comment before! My boyfriend calls my dog, Ella, “stinker-pottamus”, “sleepypottamus”, & “Ellapottamus”. How do we think of such things? haha

Haul: headbands from charming Charlie’s! Just discovered this store and am now obsessed! I also picked up my first mineral skinfinish in soft and gentle from mac. I originally wanted superb from the extra dimension collection, but they were sold out 🙁 I don’t like soft and gentle nearly as much, so that’s kind of a bummer. But I do like it and am hoping it will grow on me.
Weekend plans: working! But on my “weekend” (aka my days off) I went shopping with my girlfriends a couple times and after.both shopping trips we went to dennys the.first time and olive garden the second. I’ve spent way too much this week! Lol

Off topic, but where did you find that dog bed? I’d love to get one for our dog. We call our dog “Executive Chef” the way she stands right at the stove or sink as we cook or eat, or “Houdini” the way she’ll just appear out of now where and we didn’t even hear her coming, lol.

He has the memory foam one, but you can get the same style and shape without the memory foam for quite a bit less (depending on your budget + dog’s needs). I’ve been really happy with the Orvis beds – Mellan had the same style but in a small (the big bed in the photo is a large) for a year or two and no signs of wear. The cover zips off and gets tossed in the wash every 2-3 weeks, and it’s still super soft and in amazing shape.
Haul: Some NYX products, a few Tarte Amazonian Clay Blushes, Mario Badescu Skincare and the Naked 2 Palette all from Ulta.
Weekend Plans: Go to the mall (maybe some more hauling with my poor willpower),see my friend in a local musical, write a few papers for school -.- and chill a little with some old school SNL and my two main men, Ben and Jerry 😉

Christine, do you know of any stickier bases for glitter shadows to help the glitter adhere? Also, that is the cutest picture I’ve seen in a long time!!! OMG, I can’t even get over how cute it is!
Maybe Too Faced’s? I know a lot of people like Fyrinnae. I believe Lit (glitter company) also makes an adhesive for their glitter.
Thanks for the suggestions! I have been debating between getting the original TFSI and their glitter glue formulation. I only ever tried a sample of TFSI, and while I thought I would like it because it was stickier, I had this weird experience where I felt like it absorbed the shadow and dulled it. Maybe I was using it incorrectly or maybe it was just because the tester was older, not too sure. I’ve just recently noticed that UDPP dries my lids out too much to where nothing sticks. Have you personally tried the Too Faced Glitter Glue?
Sorry for the rant! I have just been getting annoyed massively because I love eye makeup, but something with my lids always is too oily or too dry. The shadow either creases or doesn’t stick and looks kind of dull, especially notice this with neutrals.
I haven’t tried it myself, though I own it (it is on the list of things to trial) 🙂

OPI: My Pointe Exactly, Pirouette My Whistle. China Glaze: Hook & Line, Kinetic Candy… I also got the MAC Reel Sexy Lipstick and an EOS sweetmint,,, yes I admit I went a bit crazy this week 🙂

Weekend Plans – I had some friends over for board games last night, and tonight (Saturday) I’m going to my local YWCA’s Women of Distinction awards. Sunday’s going to be spent cleaning up my classroom and getting ready for the week.
