Haul: MAC Woodwinked (loving it! I’m apparently lucky enough for it not to pull orange on me) and Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess matte bronzer (it works well now I’m NC30, but when I get a bit tanner in summer it probably won’t show).
Weekend plans: I’m inviting something like 10 friends over to celebrate the Chinese New Year with homemade dumplings. So Saturday will be mad cleaning, grocery-shopping, and filling-making. Sunday itself will be assembling the dumplings and enjoying having friends around!
Favorite accessory: Necklaces! I love big and chunky ones as well as small and delicate ones. I don’t come across good ones very often though, so I don’t own a lot.
I love yawny pictures! Mellan is SOOOOO cute! My cats spend more than half of their time sleeping. Lucky them!

Haul: I can’t find my beloved Zoya Anchor (damn it!) so i went to the store and got a Sally Hansen base coat. I also bought Salma Hayek’s Nuance eyeshadow quad and an e/s duo. I’ll review them later this week!

I wish Zoe (my brother’s dog) slept as much as Mellan. She even gets up from her bed (after feigning sleep) to follow my brother around the house. He can’t get her to lay still! LOL.

Favorite accessory?: For the Fall/winter/early spring I love a good scarf as well. I can’t wear earrings (skin never heals and content rejects them.) but I like funky jewelry as well. Most worn accessory are my large hair clips.
I very rarely wear earrings (always forget, since they’re all buried in storage containers), but for whatever reason, I am lucky that they don’t really heal despite not wearing earrings for as long as a year!
Gotta love a cheap haul 😉

Weekend plans: I’m going to a concert tomorrow night with a friend I haven’t seen in a while :] other than that, I’ll be studying and sleeping. average weekend for me hahah
Favorite accessory?: I love beanies, weather ones and fashion ones. they’re perfect for a bad hair day or for when I simply don’t feel like doing anything with my hair. I love tights, too. I tend to break out the shorts a bit too early in the year and keep them around for too long, so tights are a great way to wear them in cooler weather.
My boyfriend loves beanies, too! When I am cold inside the house, I steal one 😉

Weekend plans: I literally have more work to do than I have time to do it in. Sooo….getting as far as I can into my ever-growing pile of papers and assignments. Gotta love grad school. :-/
Favorite accessory: If I’m outside, I love sunglasses. I have sensitive eyes so I’m always wearing them…even in the winter because the glare from the snow is so bad. If no sunglasses, probably would have to say necklaces–I feel like sometimes when outfits feel too plain or like they are missing something, you just gotta pop on a necklace and voila, it’s perfect!
Mellan is adorable! My dog is the same way…she sleeps probably 75% of the day and yet is always yawning, lol.
Where are you getting your sweaters? I need some!! And as much as I hate admitting it, Uggs keep me warm!

Weekend: I like to find time to reorganize my makeup stash, set aside some products to keep at work for an instant face and donate the rest.
Favorite Accessory: Earrings. I feel naked without them. My favorites are from Marjorie Baer (Nordstrom/Nordstrom Rack).
I guess your body learns to adapt – I’ve been like that for years. I don’t remember if it was like that when I was REALLY young (like under 10), but I do remember waking up often while being a teenager. The good part is I wake up, but I fall asleep quickly.
They call it “beauty sleep” for a reason. It takes a lot of sleep (er, and yawning) to keep up that level of gorgeousness. Right, Mellan?

Haul: Took advantage of buy 1, get one 50% off on the Maybelline 24 Hr e/s and got them all (except the purple) based on your reviews, jack black lip balm (my lips have been extra dry w/this weather) and clarisonic mia (its part of my 2012 resolution/goal to take better care of my skin)
Weekend plans: The kiddies are virus/sick free so we’re going to take them to visit their newborn cousin. The last time I held him was the day he was born – can’t wait! Then we’re getting together to root for our 49ers against the NY Giants…the city will be buzzin’!!
Favorite accessory: love, love, love jewelry so i’m either rockin’ some earrings, ring(s) OR a necklace or two. it definitely helps that i make my own but lately i haven’t had time to. a nice scarf has been a staple w/the weather being cold.
My boys constantly ask for a dog and when I peruse through this blog on the weekends or late evenings and they see a pic of Mellan, I almost always hear, “awww, mom. That’s a nice dog. Can we have one like that?” =)
Aww!! If you do get your boys one, make sure they are heavily involved in the care, whether it’s feeding, cleaning, walking, whatever.
Even down in the south bay, I suspect we’ll be hearing quite a bit of hollering when the game is on!

Favorite accessory? Rings. I’m obsessed with them. Silver, gold, chunky, delicate–I don’t care, as long as I think they look cool. I love picking out the right ones to go with an outfit.

Weekend Plans: staying warm (it’s so snowy on Vancouver Island!) and lots of reading for my Philosophy class!
Accessories: I pretty much wear the same things everyday. I have my nose and tragus pierced with small silver hoops if that counts…. Other than that I have a necklace from my boyfriend that I wear every day and a bracelet my Dad brought me from Peru that I wear most days! I have very very sensitive skin to a lot of metals so I keep it pretty minimal. If I add another piece it has to be big and statement making! Most of my jewellery is rings and bracelets.
Haul: Revlon lip butter (I think the shade is Berry Smoothie), Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder and MAC Early Morning mineralized blush (technically, I bought it last week but it arrived this week).
Weekend plans: blissfully nothing except going to the gym and going out for dinner.
Favourite accessory: probably scarves or maybe bracelets.
Haul: I purchased Eucerin lip treatment for the cold weather!
Weekend plans: I have reading for class and brunch with a my middle school teacher who recently moved to the area.

Need to get some more brush cleaner, too. And I might have to pick up a new Blacktrack Fluidline…because I closed it so tight last time that now I can’t get it open, LOL.
Weekend plans: Nothing exciting that I know of, yet. I will probably just catch up on laundry and possibly go check out the Electropop colors from China Glaze in person.
Favorite accessory?: I guess I’m not much of an accessory girl. I don’t have a favorite, but I do know I tend to accessorize more with scarfs, shoes, and bags over jewelry.

Just added to the haul with some MAC stuff tonight. Picked up more brush cleaner. I get irritated eyes so easily that I always have to sanitize my eye brushes before using them again. Picked up some Fix+, which I feel like I’m spending $20 on water that smells good, lol. I get flaky spots that even exfoliating doesn’t totally help, so Fix+ helps that if I’m looking a little scaly. Then I just repurchased Blacktrack and to go along with it the 210 brush. I never seem to get a thin enough line with my other brush. Can anyone tell me how MAC Fluidlines compare to Bobbi Brown’s gel liner?

Favorite accessory: My metallic gold cross-body hobo bag. The shape and size flatter my figure, the cross-body style is perfect for my hands-off bag preference, and the color is glam and cheerful all year round. 🙂

Weekend plans: studying and seeing some friends I haven’t see for a while.

But, as for Mellan…did you hear about that study a few years ago in which they found that dogs tend to yawn when they see people yawn? I have a Lab. The day I heard about the study, I tried it on him. I yawned in front of him. He started yawning before I finished. Some breeds are more apt to do this (the ones who are people-pleasers and are more intune with humans).
