Welcome to Free For Haul Friday!
- Haul: Chanel Spring 2011, though it should arrive sometime today, it hasn’t yet! I did receive the three polishes yesterday.
- Weekend plans: Christmas, Christmas, Christmas celebrations with friends and family. Busy, busy! Also hoping to sneak in some time to go through all the comments in the queue.
- Best gift you’ve ever received?: The first time my boyfriend sent me flowers. I had never received flowers from a non-family member before, and I remember being at college and getting a call about someone trying to make a flower delivery. I was totally confused and couldn’t figure out why I was getting flowers. I spent half the day wondering and finally figured it was my dad–turns out it was my boyfriend!

Haul: I found Clarins lipgloss, Stila lipgloss 3 set, ELF concealer palette and some nail polishes at Winners last night. (American equivalent=Marshall’s)
Weekend plans: Christmas festivities with my boyfriend’s and my own family.
Best gift you’ve ever received?: A set of Birks pearls from my parents with the matching earrings. Even though it’s not something I reach for often, it’s something that I’ll love forever.

Haul: Nothing beauty related at all!
Weekend plans: Spending a quiet Christmas with my hubby. Both of our families live far away, so a lot of phone and skype this weekend. Also, going to visit friends in the area. Oh, and our annual tradition of Christmas eve takeout.
Best gift I’ve ever received: Not an actual gift, but having my husband home for Christmas this year. He was deployed last year, so the holidays were rough. We’ve definitely learned to enjoy every moment together, and never take anything for granted!

Best gift you’ve ever received?: The TV set Mom asked me to help pick up for my Nana when I was 9 … to also then ask me to hand it to my Nana on Christmas day to then have Nana tell me “it’s for you”. lol
I’s sad to thing a TV for Chrismtmas it not a surprise gift now a days but it was a HUGE deal when I was a kid. Let say I freaked out.

Best gift you ever received?: On my 16th birthday, my friends surprised me with these cute helium balloons. I wasn’t even expecting it. It was so sweet of them!

Weekend plans: Dinner and opening presents on Christmas Eve and probably watching a movie or actually relaxing on Christmas day.
Best gift you’ve ever received? The gifts that my grandparents gave me, like a gold cross or something my grandmother made herself.

Haul: whatever i sneak into my sephora shopping bag tonight while i am finishing up gift shopping 🙂
Plans: sat will be full of cooking for dinner sunday, sunday will be traveling all over, and pray what i make survives the car trip. monday is going to be brunch with friends since we all have off work
Best gift: hand made quilt that i got as a wedding present. its gorgeous, a lot of hard work went into it, and it is such a comfy blanket.

it ended up being a new tube of badgal mascara and urban decay liquid liner in smog, which turned out to be an amazing pick! it looks incredible with my eye color!!
Haul: L’Oreal HiP duos in Sculpted, Gilded, and Gunmetal! Aannnnnd Tarte Exposed! I’m so super excited about this one. Will definitely use it for my Christmas/New Year’s Eve looks!
Weekend plans: Christmas, Christmas, Christmas too! Celebrating with family and friends :)Oh, and I still have some last-minute Christmas/grocery shopping to do tomorrow…
Best gift you’ve ever received?: For Valentine’s Day this year I got a bottle of Miss Dior Cherie EDT from my boyfriend. He had no idea I used to own and love the EDP before I even met him, so it was a nice surprise! I had otherwise never received perfume as present, and I think it’s generally a risky idea just because you don’t know if a certain perfume will work on the receiver.
Mellan is so super funny! A lot of the pet toys are really designed for their human companions though. My cats really enjoy carton boxes and little balls we make out of receipts more than the fancy-looking stuff we get from the store.

He usually likes most toys, but I don’t think he likes any of the newer dog toys that have paper inside them – he must not care for that noise!

Haul: Chanel Illusion d’ombre eyeshadow in Illusoire (it’s for my stocking – I saved my husband the effort of having to look for a stocking stuffer for me)
Plans: cooking, baking, more baking and cooking and my kids are all home (from school and the military) so a lot of catching up and cuddling
Best gift: the year I was pregnant with my 2nd child, my fingers swelled so badly I couldn’t wear my wedding rings and my husband surprised me with a diamond eternity ring sized to fit my finger.

Weekend Plans: Hopefully a quiet and happy Christmas with my husband and two sons.
Best Gift: The first Valentine’s Day after we were married I wasn’t expecting much. We’d just bought a home, my husband was in medical school, and we were trying to economize. I woke up that day to a beautiful silver and garnet necklace, got to work to find cookies delivered for me, and was absolutely astonished when my husband showed up at my office to take me to lunch. the fact that he’d arranged to take the afternoon off from school just to spend time with me was the greatest gift ever.

I ordered four glosses from the Tour de Fab collection, as well as Aurora and Circa Plum pigments from Daphne Guinness. They should arrive today!
Weekend plans include work and family time. Every Christmas Eve we all go out to a Chinese restaurant for dinner.
I don’t know about the best gift I’ve ever received, but my mom just started a new job a little over two years after her last employer laid her off. So I guess it’s an awesome present for the whole family.
I love that Chinese restaurants are always open on the holidays!

weekend plans: we dont celebrate christmas so i guess it will just be a normal day for us! plus my cat has just been neutered so taking care of him.
best gift: My dad always buys me something amazing for every birthday, my last two birthdays were a laptop and a 50inch plasma tv.

Haul: Pixi Endless Eye Pen in True Teal, Eyelash adhesive, and a Japonesque Brow Groomer – I shouldn’t have tried out the brow groomer at 2 this morning because I kind of butchered my left eyebrow! 😀
Weekend Plans: Christmas and lots of holiday cooking & baking.
Best Gift: My sister and her boyfriend wrote me a poem using some lyrics from my favorite songs for my high school graduation – it was so thoughtful and sweet!

Haul: I placed a MAC order with brush cleanser and the cleanse off oil.
Weekend plans: Tomorrow morning I will meet a friend, then relaxing, eating celebrating christmas with my family. On Saturday we will meet friends for our traditional christmas lunch. Next week I have 4 days off and I will use the time to meet friends for breakfast, lunch or coffee.
Best gift you’ve ever received?: MTV Europe pay-tv subscription in the 90ies.

Haul: Gosh I went nuts! Besides buying myself new heels and a few outfits, makeup wise I bought: a backup of viva glam gaga lipstick, Neutrogena lotion, Neutrogena night time lotion, cleanser, 2 bottles of Lush’s Snow Fairy shower gel, Mac Lavendar Whip lipstick, Revlon Lilac Pastelle lipgloss, Perlier Extreme Hydro Zone face serum, Philosophy 3-in-1 Shampoo Vanilla Birthday Cake, Lush Honey I Washed the Kids soap, China Glaze Monte Carlo nail polish, Mac 275 brush, Mac Goldmine e/s, and Mac Knight Divine e/s.
Weekend Plans: Go to the local Christmas program they have every year in town so my daughter can get her picture taken with Santa and spend Christmas eve watching my daughter open her gifts. It’s her first Christmas!
Best gift you’ve ever received?: Well aside from my sister will be here here from college for Christmas, so that is a really good gift! Material wise, my brother caved and told me he got me a mac gift card, which means alot to me considering he hates how much makeup I have and doesn’t support my mac habit at all. So thoughtful! lol.

Catrice polishes in “Snow Motion” and “Marilyn & Me”, Pupa Gold Eyeliner and polish in “Mimi Green”, NYC lipstick in “Red Flame”, Catrice eye primer, 4 glosses and two shadows by Kiko (can’t remember the numbers lol).
Weekend plans:
Leaving tomorrow to visit my grandma and spend Christmas with her. My grandma lives nearby the sea, and hopefully the weather will be nice and too cold so that I can take a walk on the beach. YaY!
Best gift you’ve ever received?
In Dec 2007, my best friend surprised me by getting me tickets to see the final concert of Celine Dion in Las Vegas. I’m so Celinishly addicted lol when I saw the tickets, I freaked out lol! Another wonderful gift I got was when me and my classmates were in Germany in 2004. We stayed there for two weeks and I was gonna turn 18, so they set up a secret birtday party for me – it was so sweet! I cried like a baby lol.

Plans: Go to my in laws for dinner at Harry’s Hoffbrau for Christmas Eve tomorrow night, then go to my moms in the afternoon on Sunday for Channukah stuff.
Gift: Don’t think I’ve gotten anything that memorable to be honest :/

Haul: I recently bought 6 six or seven BB Couture polishes online, and now I am impatiently waiting for them to show up 😛 I’m also waiting on a handful of Illamasqua products from ASOS.
Weekend plans: Christmas day with the family + a big Christmas lunch planned. Then for Boxing Day my grandparents show up and we do the same thing virtually all over again!
Best gift I’ve ever received: I have no idea! I’m trying to recall a great gift but one image keeps appearing in my head: my dog, at Christmas, tearing open wrapping paper. Haha! She loves opening presents. Does Mellan do anything like that?

Weekend plans: CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!! my family actually doesn’t really make a huge celebration out of Christmas unfortunately, partly because all my family is in Ontario, Vegas and mostly Slovakia, but I’m still excited 😀
Best gift you’ve ever received? hmm… I don’t know… probably in grade 5 when my grandma and cousin came from Slovakia for 2 months for my birthday 😀

Best Gift I Ever Received: My favorite uncle sent us on a New York trip to see The Lion King on Broadway when I was twelve. It wound up being the last gift he ever gave us – he passed away from a heart attack that weekend. We still have the tickets more than a decade later!
Wow – what an amazing gift and am sure he was so happy he was able to give it to you before he passed away!
Haul: Maybelline tattoo eyeshadows…BOGO 1/2 off at CVS…testing them out, I rarely buy drugstore makeup, so far they are very nice! BFTE Holiday shadows collection.
Weekend plans: A quiet Christmas with my Dad’s side of my family.
Best gift you ever received?: A silver locket from Tiffany & Co. engraved from my Uncle, the Christmas before he passed, inside are pictures of he and my dad.
Lockets are always an amazing gift – so much meaning attached to them!
Haul: I got Bobbi Brown Rich Color Lipgloss in Dusty Rose, Guerlain Kiss Kiss Gloss in Rose Florida and Burberry Lip Glow Gloss in Blush…I love them all! I am in such a gloss mood, there are a bunch more I want too 😡

In SATC. I had fab spa treatments from facials to body wraps, amazing cuisine and paddled lazily across the lake. It was the best surprise gift ever!
