What’s your favorite hot drink?: If I go to Starbucks, it would be their Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha. When I lived in Canada, I really loved Tim Hortons Hot Chocolate. But if I’m just at home I would make myself some Teh Tarik (which is a kind of milk tea)

Haul: Maybelline Color Tattoo 24HR Cream Gel Eyeshadows, I got 5 of them during the No TAX event at Zehrs and will be picking up the white one next. Also during the week I got the Joe Fresh Gel Eye Liner in Caviar (Finally a dark green gel liner)
Weekend plans: Backing Gingerbread.

I haven’t heard of the Color Tattoo shadows!
I spotted them at CVS today. I brought 2 at first… After testing them out, I went back to get 3 more. Pigmentation was great. Must try!!!

Haul: UD Naked 2 Palette (I’m wearing it today!), I”m loving having even more great neutrals to play with but I wish it had more mattes.
Weekend plans: Getting over this crappy cold I’ve had for two weeks. And a Christmas party Saturday night.

Haul: My colour club backstage oass finally arrived! i need to get sum false nail glue so i can add on tips to my nails, cos that polish is destined for long nails, not my current short stubby ones. A childhood book i finally tracked down and bought.
Weekend plans: Enjoy the last couple of days of my week off work, now got to wait until christmas for time off.
Fave hot drink: im weird, when im at work i love drinking coffee when im at home, i have tea and when im out with friends and we go starbucks or costas i have to have a mocha.

Haul: Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream #15, UD eyeshadow in YDK (the only shade I liked from Naked 2 so I just bought it individually), a Tarte set including their black cream/gel liner (amazingly pigmented!), their lights camera lashes mascara, and one of their lip stains (I want to say it’s called adored but I”m not sure), and a Stila lip glaze in Fruit Punch (LOVE stila lip glazes),
Weekend plans: Studying for finals, meeting my bf’s best friend, and trying not to freak out about the previous two while attempting to pack for my trip to my CA hometown
What’s your favorite hot drink?: Coffee, tea, cappuccinos, salted caramel mocha, peppermint mocha, hot chocolate….I don’t discriminate 🙂
What’s your favorite Lip Glaze?
Starfruit is my absolute favorite. It’s like a MLBB, but amazing instead of better-MLBA. They tend to look underhwelming in the tubes, but smell and feel amazing and I get great lasting power with them!

Weekend Plans: Photographing for the blog, struggling through an anthropology paper (11-13 pages, gag!).
Fave hot drink?: Boiled milk, sometimes mixed with Milo. I also love cafe lattes, when I can get them. 🙂
I suspect my cats are going to look like Mellan here when I try to get them to wear their reindeer antlers. I found an online store that sells them, but shipping is almost as much as the antlers themselves. Where did you buy Mellan’s Santa hat?
Also, could you tell me where to buy quality dog toys? I bought a couple of toys for Zoe, my brother’s Huskimo, but she tore them apart within 2 hours! Is it better to buy cheap toys that she’ll destroy anyway, or are there toys made for more aggressive dogs?

It depends on the dog! I’m not sure what toys you have bought her, but Nylabones and Kongs are some of the longer lasting toys. Mellan doesn’t destroy toys really! It took him a year to have roughed up a stuffed teddy bear enough to toss him out, lol! Toys made out of rubber or tire tend to be better for dogs who chew a lot.

Haul: I’ve got a pretty big haul this week because a lot of my orders finally came in. I got TheBalm Nude ‘tude Palette, Deborah Lippmann Trendsetter Set (it has Across the Universe and a gorgeous blackened shimmery teal), Stila Positive and Pretty & Haute in the Hamptons palettes, Jemma Kidd Makeup School Iris Enhancers Kit for brown eyes, Hello Kitty Liquid Nail Art in Silver Star, Tokidoki Devil Girl Cromatico Palette and Hard Candy Blush Crush Baked Blush in Living Doll.
What’s your favorite hot drink? A latte, though I drink hot tea all the time.

Weekend plans: Getting my hair done, maybe buying perfume, hopefully snatching up a deal on a tablet.

Haul: I bought some beauty chrismas / birthday presents for friends. I recieved OPI Vodka & Caviar as a name day present. And I almost forgot to mention some bath products.
Weekend plans: Cleaning my apartment and searching for christmas / birthday presents, reading the 4th Christina Jones book and having one or two baths.
What’s your favorite hot drink?: Latte Macchiato and Lemon Sky Tea.
What’s Lemon Sky Tea like?
It tastes really fresh like lemon, but not too sour. It’s by a brand called Ronnefeldt. I’m not sure if their teas are available in the US. The good thing about this tee is, that it won’t get bitter, if you forget to remove the tea bag.

I do! It’s lovely, although darker than I expected.
Haul: Nothing for once! I’m getting some more L’Oreal HIP duo in swap, but since I did a MAJOR haul in the US just 2 weeks ago I haven’t even got around to testing everything out yet!
Weekend plan: A friend’s birthday party on Saturday night, and we’re waiting for our new kitten to arrive on Sunday *squeaks in excitement*
What’s your favorite hot drink?: I kinda dig Starbucks’ gingerbread latte and caramel latte, though it’s way too weak for me and I always need an extra shot.
How did Mellan even curl his ear back like that? It’s super cute (but probably very frustrating if you’re trying to get decent photos of him lol)!
Sometimes he’ll just shake and it’ll flip inside out 🙂
haul: zoya polishes… i got kristen and angella, and i have kennedy, kendal, and carey coming in the mail… and i have twila, noel, rina, stella, ibiza, and megan in my cart. trying not to pull the trigger. i also got my first rescue beauty lounge polish in scrangie! 🙂 annnnd i got a new foundation to try – clinique superbalanced, along with stay matte powder. i had a macy’s gift card, and was at the one on state street to get dragon (which they were OUT OF noooooo), so.. another foundation to try it is!
weekend plans: working HAHAHAHA. i have been working 10 hour days (and with my commute, more like 12 or 13) since the monday after thanksgiving. we got last weekend off, but this weekend we’re required to work. they were going to have us do 10 hour days saturday and sunday too, but they backed off a little – now it’s just 10 hours total over the weekend. i’m also getting a haircut – the last one with the hairdresser i’ve had since i was like nine years old (i’m 27 now). we’re gonna cry for sure.
favorite hot drink: argo tea white frostea chocolate. it’s white tea and chocolate and milk… close runnerup is the eggnog lattes from starbucks.

argo is a chicago chain. 🙂 there’s quite a few in the city. they have locations in NY, boston, and st. louis as well. but.. that would explain why you haven’t! 🙂
it’s a nice alternative to starbucks (and caribou, though i do like caribou too!). they’re primarily a tea shop (though they just started serving coffee about a year ago), and sell a lot of loose teas to take home, too!

Does Mellan ever get into the tree? My kitties climb mine every year, so I have to put it up later and later. Oh, and one year, they opened a bunch of the gifts that were under there :-S It’s too funny to be mad though.

We don’t have a tree, because there’s no space for one, lol! The only tree he’s been around is my parents, but my parents have a formal living room, so we’re only in there on Christmas morning!

Okay, I’ve been curious for a long time – why does sweet Mellan have a dot on his ear? Is it an identifying marker? Birthmark? I’ve never had a dog, so I have no idea. Whatever it is, it’s cute. 🙂
A birthmark I guess? He’s had it since we got him (at 8 weeks) – it was actually the only way we could track him when we were picking a puppy out. I believe there were 5 males! I remember we didn’t want the one that looked bigger than the rest, and we didn’t want the one that was yapping already (Mellan actually did not bark for 3-4 months!!). The breeders (who were backyard breeders) weren’t even sure and thought maybe their grandchild had marked him with a Sharpie.
Haul: Stila Cloud and Benefit’s Where There’s Smoke eyeshadows, Stila brow pen thingy (not sure of the proper name), another Gosh Metallic Brass eyeliner pencil and Jouviance 3-in-one facial treatment and their cleansing milk
Plans: My husband’s firm’s Xmas party is tonight; tomorrow is an Xmas brunch with friends and Sunday is an Xmas open house at my daughter’s boyfriend’s parents’ house (and I have to miss my department’s Xmas get together to attend).
Favourite hot drink: after coffee (fave has to be pumpkin spice latte but I drink a lot of plain coffee at home), it’s either mulled cider or mulled wine.

Hi! I’m new to commenting but not the blog. I love reading your reviews! I’m also way too excited about my haul and none of my friends seem to understand (I’m the sole makeup maven/artist).
Haul: I took advantage of my Sephora $20 coupon and picked up MUFE Aqua liner in 13 (based on your review, btw!), MUFE Aqua Eyes in 21, a Bobbi Brown color corrector, and the Michael Kors Very Hollywood rollerball. I also visited the Chanel counter and picked up two Rouge Double Intensite longwears (my favorite!) in Rosestone and Rubylite. I also just renewed my MAC pro card online and got a few more things from my kit. That’ll be next week’s haul, I think.
weekend plans: Strength training in the gym (personal trainer in training!) and a holiday party on Saturday evening.
Favorite hot drink: Mighty Leaf Breakfast Americana or a good Darjeeling tea with a little skim milk and a packet of splenda. I also like Teavana teas.

Got a super deal today! Went to Ulta to get Nail Tek II foundation but couldn’t find any, so I asked a girl that was working there, she looked around and found a buy one get one free package. I said, awesome, how much is it? 99 Cents!!!!!! They knew something wasn’t right but since it rang up 99 cents they were happy to sell the package to me at that price! so I BOUGHT nail Tek II foundation and intense therapy for 99 cents. LOVE!
Haul: Went to Sephora this evening, grabbed a small thing of their eye makeup remover to give it a try, Sephora brand eye shadow in Sweet Candy, Urban Decay 24/7 shadow pencil in Barracuda, and FINALLY Hourglass lipgloss in Siren!!! Decided to grab this with my $20 VIB card! 🙂 LOVE IT SO MUCH!!!! 🙂

I love Jealousy Wakes! I am kicking myself for not buying more than one. I paired it with a base of Chartru paint and Delft paintpot (mixed) and then patted JW on top of lid. Put Water Nymph in the crease and Vex on my inner corner and used Prismique as my highlighter. To line I used Undercurrent pearglide. Love, love, love!

In general, it lifts my curled lash well. With the first two swipes of mascara, the lash still feels soft and fluffy. It’s lightly violet scented, not as overwhelming as Maybelline Falsie scent. It does a good job separating the lash without being clumpy, like my favorite go-to Clinique lash doubling mascara, but giving me a more intense black glare. Volume and length wise, it’s on par with Lancome Doll Lash although I appreciate the smaller wand of Noir G for not poking into my eyes when I was trying to grab the last few tiny lashes. I don’t own any Dior or Chanel mascara as to compare these high end brand together. IMO, it’s not worth the hefty price tag just for an additional mirror case. But I do hear that Le 2 mascara (also from Guerlain) is the darling of the ladies around Montreal.
Haul: Nothing! Too busy getting ready for our cocktail party. I’m having major withdrawal right now.
