- Are you all about Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales?: Honestly, I’m not! Generally, I think you can find a lot of good deals throughout the year. It really depends if there is something you’re looking for in particular — I bought a vacuum last year, but the price before Black Friday was actually better.

Mellan is ready for the next holiday! (That’s because his birthday is Christmas Eve.)
I’ve been rather naughty this week. I got MAC Winterized MES, Sleek’s Au Naturel palette, Barry M Lip Laquer pencil (the pink sparkly one, Fashionista Magnetism Nail Lacquer in All Fired Up Red, 3 Bourjois nail polishes and a free ‘Party Essentials’ makeup bag containing goodies, Chanel Illusion d’Ombre eyeshadow in Fantasme, Chanel nail polish in Rouge Carat, Chanel lipstick in Famous and Dior Addict lipcolor in Technicolor Red. I did use points to buy some of those, though.
We don’t have Black Friday as such here in the UK, although some of the online shops are doing discounts for the occasion albeit very small ones in most cases.
Maybe in a year or two, you’ll be overwhelmed with BF sales in the UK!
Haul: I’m on a no-buy until I finish up some stuff
Weekend plans: A concert, a trip to a museum on a war ship, dinner with my oldest friend in the world, a day long conference with speakers I’ve always wanted to hear. Yay me!
Are you all about Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales?: I live in India and they don’t have them here. Grrr.

Haul: I ordered Prince Noir last night from MAC’s site. I debated Black Knight, but figured I won’t wear it at all (like my other black lippies).
Weekend plans: Work, work and more work!
Black Friday: I always enjoy getting a deal, but refuse to sit outside for days on end to get something that I don’t *need*. I lined up once at Circuit City, just to try it. I showed up at 5 AM, and got in the store within 20 minutes. I didn’t buy anything but DVDs though. It was scary. There were women fighting over a cell phone! These days, I stick to online deals, for the sake of my sanity!
How sweet that Mellan is a Christmas puppy! It makes me think of a basket of puppies under the Christmas tree <3
Haha! Yep, born on Christmas Eve, and we took him home in February (at eight weeks) – so it was right after Valentine’s Day!

I completely agree. There’s only a few stores that I’m even considering buying something from, just because I don’t think the deals seem any better.

Haul: Trader Joe’s Tea Tree Oil soap.
Weekend Plans: Boyfriend’s birthday on Saturday (we’re going to visit his folks), and today I’m going to visit my family and bake a pumpkin pie with my brother (I didn’t get to see them on Thanksgiving). I also get to see my brother’s dog, Zoe!

How’s the TJ Tea Tree Oil soap?
It’s great, I’ve repurchased several times. I have oily skin and it works well without drying out my skin.

WEEKEND PLANS: Heading out for a wonderful Chinese/Indian dinner with my mom and a friend of mine. 🙂 Then tomorrow heading to a charity event against Cystic Fibrosis. Nothing planned on Sunday yet.

Haul: Lied and got 3 Layla Magneffect in 09 Golden Bronze, 04 Turquoise Wave and 07 Metallic Sky, L’oreal la Couleur Infallible Matte Finish 016 Coconut shake and Marcelle Lux Eye Dust in Element half off with the Hydra-c holiday kit and a free black purse at Rexall.
Also early Christmas presents of 4 B&BW large candles from my mom (2 for one sale).
Tracy’s Wine Jellies 8 jars for Christmas presents for the family (Dad and Grandma). They make the best no sugar added jams.
Weekend plans: Christmas purge at my parents … aka boxing stuff we don’t need to keep (so much stuff I’m going to have to pry from my mom’s hands lol)!
Are you all about Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales?: Yes for the online sales as we don’t get to many in store sales in Canada. I don’t go to crazy but something I do get only during the black Friday sales. There’s only two or 3 shops I buying from this year. 😉
It’s why I get a little pissy with Sephora every year as it’s a 2 hour drive of $40 round ticket to get to a full Sphora store. I’d rather just spend the $10 shipping and get what I want for the online only items and they NEVER off the sales online to Canadian buyers. It must also be extremely frustrating if you Provence doesn’t even have a Sephora and seeing that the email for in store only sales!
Bath & Body Works and H2O+ are always having rotating deals that I can take advantage of in-store (great way to sell seasonal stock BTW).
I feel for you Mellan being a Christmas day baby. 🙂

Weekend plans: Get a manicure and pedicure today, finish homework, and go to the last dance practice for a debutante ball that I’m dancing at tomorrow night. Tomorrow, I need to get my hair done in an updo and go to the debutante ball (with floor-length ballgown, long gloves, and everything). Sunday is the day of recovery.
Are You All About Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales?: I did Sephora’s Black Friday sale, but that was such a pain. I started around 11:30 PM CST, and it took the website about 20 minutes to load. It kept saying that I had no items in my shopping cart, then 21 (I never had that many), and then zero items. The website actually crashed my computer at one point. My mom and older sister wanted some items from that sale really badly, and one of the items will be my little sister’s Christmas gift, so I stayed up until 1:30 AM, where I was able to finally buy everything. Good thing my older sister was paying for it, otherwise I would’ve given up. I ended up getting myself a Tokidoki makeup bag with samples in it, otherwise if I hadn’t bought anything for myself too, it wouldn’t have been worth it.
Ouch! I was totally surprised to hear that Sephora had issues loading!
I was quite surprised, too. I’m just happy that I was finally able to get everything! I would’ve been furious if, after all of that effort, everything had been sold out.

Black Friday’s not ever been something that I took part in; I’m not a morning person and I do look for deals all year long. I agree with you completely about this topic. I got a huge deal on a great laptop last weekend, so I’m happy.

From Geek Chic Cosmetics I got some stuff from their Timey Wimey collection: Bigger on the Inside, Sexy in Suspenders, Don’t Blink, Bad Wolf, and Untimely Love.

I love your Free for Haul Friday posts. I have a yellow lab named Colby, Mellan and him are nearly identical! Colby’s birthday is the day AFTER Christmas, how funny!
I’m skipping out on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. It seems pretty ridiculous to me that we should all rush out and buy things on those two days; I shop throughout the year, not on two days (with the company of everyone else).

Black Friday: I stayed up last night to go to one of the sales so yes I’m all about it 😛 I also went shopping again this morning and got some pretty good deals!

Haul: I hit up a Las Vegas CCO and found the Mac Style Black glosses. I picked up Blackwave and a spare Bling Black. I also got Bobbi Brown sparkle eyeshadow in black, and a pair of REALLY TALL Steve Madden shoes.
Weekend plans: Return to L.A., sit on my ass, and play a tabletop game (Exalted) all day Sunday.
Black Friday: eh……sometimes. I’m more into Cyber Monday for electronics.

Haul…my best purchase was for myself (shame on me) a pair of $150 clarks boots for ….wait for it …..$40 I also got some of the 10 for 10$ each at sephora……pink sugar, smashbox highlighter bronzer and kvd saint rollerball, some was for my mom
I don’t go out and get crazy on black friday but I work at Sephora inside JCP and this is my second year to work black friday so I scored the boots cause I went in a little early. 🙂

Haul: Forgive me Christina, for I have sinned AGAIN 🙂 Actually, I was very good this week. I’m awaiting my Gareth Pugh pre-order, but while waiting I added two more items to the 5 item pre-order. In all, I got both pigments, the beauty powder, one eye-shadow and the kabuki brush, to which I added a lip glass & nail polish.
Weekend plans: Recover from cooking our huge turkey spread and eating more than a fair share of it too. Packing for a mid-week trip to upstate NY.
Are you all about Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales?: NO. I always made a conscious decision not to leave the house on Black Friday. Rather, I start planning for Hanukkah & Christmas. I bring out the Christmas dishes to start the holiday mood & spirit. My husband did take advantage of a sale via the online Apple store by ordering me an iPad 2.

Are you all about Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales?: I haaate black friday, I honestly don’t understand people who like it. It’s absolutely awful for retail employees and makes customers the puppets of companies, and 99% of the sales aren’t that great. Turns people into animals.

Non-beauty-related (but indirectly because I this is my new way to get my daily Temptalia fix):
MACBOOK PRO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But let me set the scene: my old PC (NEVER BUY AN HP) was a complete mess. Even with great care, pieces were breaking off, it was starting to break in half/the screen wouldn’t stay up, and I had gone through two charging cords and three batteries–and it was only 2.5 years old! And I’m in grad school! So the entire part of this school year until now was spent without a fully-functional laptop. In meetings and lectures where everyone had comp’s busted out…I was stuck falling behind because I couldn’t write fast enough with paper and a pen. Soooo annoying. And now soooo happy about this.
Beauty related: Chanel Dragon Rouge Allure Laque. Origins checks & balances soap and Origins A Perfect World SPF 25 moisturizer.
Weekend Plans: Project meetings, trimming the tree, research papers; U of M Wolverines vs. OSU buckeyes!!!! GO BLUE!!!!!!
All about sales…when it comes to beauty items, IMO not really because I’ve never seen a makeup sale that’s worth waking up at the crack of dawn for–like you said I think you can find deals that good all year long. That being said if there’s something else you’ve had your eye on and know you want before entering the madness, it can be worth it…I got a Keurig coffee machine that I’ve been ogling at a ridiculously low price today so I’m pretty happy about that. 😀

My Black Friday haul started before I left the house when I ordered MAC’s black lipstick. At the mall I got a small Stila palette and pack of Stila lip glazes from Urban Outfitters; a bottle of Bumble and Bumble Tonic Lotion from Blue Mercury; and some NYX eye shadow base, lip liner, jumbo eye pencils, a lipstick, and an eyebrow pencil from ULTA.

Haul: theBalm’s Meet Matt(e) palette. Might grab Illumasqua’s Kontrol if I get a chance. I was plenty busy hauling lots of other stuff, though. 😀

Are you all about Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales?: It actually depends if what’s out there is what I’m looking for that year. If a lot of what’s on sale aligns with Christmas gifts I’m buying, I am all over those goodies. This year was a good one for me, so I did quite a bit of traveling today. I’ve done the line craziness once or twice, but not often. Some people take it way too far, though – I completely do not get the door stampedes and fist fights stuff.
Happy to hear this year’s BF was worth it!

That’s just how he was born – what you’re seeing is the inside of the lower flap of skin – it’s not his eye that is red 🙂

What’d you grab at Inglot?
I picked up a 5 piece freedom palette with neutral shadows, their shadow base in 01 and a travel brush set.
I haven’t tried the shadows with Painterly Paint Pot and my MAC brushes yet. With the Inglot brushes and the base, it seems that the pigmentation is not so intense compaired to a simple swatch on my hand.
