Haul: Philosophy shower gels–they had one of those 10, 15, 30, 40% off coupons and I managed to snag a 40% off so I couldn’t resist!
Weekend plans: I really want to clean and re-organize the office. Oh, and go out to celebrate graduating from the MBA program! 🙂
One product you recommend to everyone: Jack Black Lip Balm! I think I have 10+ brand new ones here, just so I will never run low.

I don’t even remember, but I got ones I hadn’t tried before – I know I bought the drink mix ones (like Margarita and Daiquiri), a few of their classics like Amazing Grace and so forth, since I’ve never tried those!
Haul: I’ve recently purchased new brands of nail polish that I haven’t tried- Rescue Beauty Lounge in Om, Chanel in Mica Rose and Peche Nacree, and Zoya in Midori, Heidi, Ginger, and Breezi. I’ve become bored with OPI, and their Texas collection just had me saying, “Enough already!” We will see how these brands work out!
Weekend plans: Got to the movies with the husband, clean the house, and work on research papers!
Product I’d recommend to everyone: Korres White Tea Cleanser. It works, and you don’t need a lot to get the job done.

Product I recommend to everyone: Wet n’ Wild Eyeshadows for people who aren’t interested in spending lots of money on makeup.
I ordered a Clarisonic, a Guerlain bronzer and lip pencil. My credit card bill will be very big this month! I know Guerlain is one of your favorite brands (if not THE favorite) and now I feel like trying out a lot of their products.

This weekend I’m going to go take my picture for Gackt’s SHOW YOUR HEART campaign to help show the victims of the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami that they’re not forgotten. It’ll be in front of the Statue of Liberty!

Product I would recommend to everyone: LUSH Dream Cream! Every winter, my skin is painfully dry. Any lotion will moisturize, but this banished all of the red patches, and it soaks in nicely, without leaving a greasy feeling. It also cleared up little eczema spots that I’m prone to during the cold months.

Haul: Over the last few weeks, I splurged on buying all three Tory Burch cosmetic bags that came out in the cutest butterfly print. I have received all three. This week, I also bought Mac’s Subculture lip liner, Urban Decay’s eyeliners in Zero, Bourbon, and a set that has Whiskey, Flipside, and a sharpener, and two NYX cream blushes.
Weekend Plans: Spend time with my family and take my kids to a friend’s son’s birthday party.
One product I recoomend to everyone is the Nars Sheer Glow Foundation. This foundation is awesome! It makes me skin look natural and radiant. This foundation is pricey, but worth every penny. I was given a sample of the Nars Sheer Matte Foundation this week. I tried out that foundation. I absolutely love that on too. So I might be buying the Sheer Matte Foundation as well. These foundations are my “Holy Grail” foundations.

Weekend plans: Catching up on my blogging, reading my blogs, and getting my tax paperwork ready. Should my tax refund go towards more make-up? LOL
One product you recommend to everyone: Two things, Urban Decay Eye Primer Potion and Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencils. Both never fail and should be a staple of every make-up kit no matter how small!
I did actually haul this week! My husband let me loose in Sephora! So I got the Cargo Safari set (it’s so cute, and it’s pretty awesome). I bought some of the Sephora brand mineral powder to try out and compare against Bare Minerals, and I got the Bare Minerals oil-control face primer to try out.
Later in the week I went to Sally’s and picked up 2 China Glaze polishes: “Virtual Violet” (love it) and I let my 3 year old son pick a color for me, he chose “Light My Tiki.” He loves to look at the color in the bottles and help me choose which colors to wear.
This weekend is my older son’s 5th birthday party! It’s a big weekend for him! It’ll be fun.
And congrats on the MBA Christine! I got mine 7 years ago… glad I did it when I was young, before I had kids! 🙂

Earlier this week I got a UD 24/7 Shadow Pencil in Sin. HG! I can recommend it to everyone! For the first time since ever my eyeshadows stay put all day with no primer (I have really problematic teary and creased eyes).
Haul: Mac blush in Pink Cult (but I may return it cause it’s prettier in the case)
Weekend plans: Getting hair dyed (adding some pink!), Exalted game with the boys, then improv show where I get to play one of my favorite bitchy characters.

Oh I want to squeeze Mellan and Luna! They are so adorable! Dogs are the weakness for my boyfriend and I. We’ve been living together for 3 years and have gotten a new dog every year. You’re lucky you’re the only big dog lover because it’s so hard when the both both of you are! We don’t plan on having kids (everyone thinks we are so weird) so the dogs are our babies, haha. Do you plan on getting more dogs eventually Christine?

Recommendation: Tarte’s Smooth Operator, it used to be marketed as a tinted moisturizer and now it is being sold as a foundation but it is amazing, it gives great coverage and makes my face glow. I have been using it for years, whenever I try something new I just end up back with this stuff!

I just got a new job so I decided to treat myself to some rbl polishes. I ordered purple haze, black russian, bruised, bikini bottom, stormy and yellow fever. I love rbl polishes.
I’m loving the pic. It’s too cute. What kind of dog is Luna? I’ve been trying to figure it out but I’m stumped.

Haul: products from zosimos botanicals, Rejuva minerals foundation, Mac eyeshadows in jest, haux, naked lunch, soft brown, mychelle cosmetics little kisses lip balm in the color suede (my lips but better) Mac vanilla pigment, 4 Milano baked blushes, and two japonesque eyeshadow brushes. Oh and a Mac plum color eye kohl called permaplum. Yikes!!! Did a little damage.
Weekend plans- my friends 30th bday party that she named Pink Saturday.

Haul: I was busy and really random this week. Some skincare by Peter Thomas Roth, Some makeup (mascara and a couple blushes) from Youngblood, moisturizer from Clinique (for Jay), lipstick from Estee Lauder, only a FEW things from Quite Cute (though I did get those highlight pen thingies which I LURVE!) AND my big purchase was the new lighting system from Glamcor! That should be arriving next week and I’m really excited to try it out!

One product you recommend to everyone: You know… It’s actually true: Jack Black Lip Balm. That and Aveda’s Hand Therapy hand moisturizer. I recommend to everyone. Love both of those products.

Yea I swear by the Jack Black lip balms now – I don’t use anything else anymore (if I do I complain the WHOLE time! lol). I’m excited about the Glamcor lighting! I hope it improves my setup. I’m thinking about doing a splitscreen type of thing in post production – One side new lights, one side with the old lights. If it does indeed improve everything and turn out to look cool, I’m sure I’ll upload it just so people can see 🙂 The whole thing should arrive next week (ordered it on Wednesday I think).

Weekend: attend a friend’s wedding tomorrow and bake my Mom a birthday cake. (NY-style crumbcake, something we don’t get here in the South.)
Product: Inglot eyeshadows – AHHMAZING. The double sparkle formula (matte base with sparkles in it) is incredible.

Let’s see…last night ShopNBC was on and they were selling this in-shower self-tanner. It’s like a shower gel and you rinse it off and you get instant color. I think it’s called Tan Fabulous. I couldn’t resist so I ordered it at 1 am. But for a real haul, I got the Urban Decay Dangerous palette and Pony palette from the UD website. I also got Too Faced Primed and Poreless powder, and a Too Face retractable kabuki.
My puppy always goes into my room early in the morning while I’m still in bed. I had to wake up early today. I forgot the close the bathroom door, and I got freaked out when she poked her head through the curtain while I was showering. I had to get out and let her out of my room, but it was so cute, and I giggled throughout the day thinking about it.

Weekend plans: Celebrate my birthday on Sunday! I’m getting my hair and makeup done in the morning, and going out to dinner in the evening. Besides that, I have no plans yet.
Product: Revlon Colorstay Liquid Eye Pen in Black. I think no matter what your makeup skills and style(s) are, everyone could use a black liquid liner. I find that pen style liners are easy to use, and Revlon’s is good quality and affordable at the same time.

One Product I Recommend to Everyone: Mark’s Primed for Perfection primer. Great budget primer. The other is actually the Cover Girl Outlast lip stain, I have Scarlet Pucker and I’m really impressed. Great way for somebody like me who’s shy of lipstick and tired of lip gloss to experiment with colour.

Haul: The Balm Shady Lady Vol. 2 Palette! It’s $52CAD and it’s the most I’ve ever spent on a makeup item, but the colours are SO nice! I also got a Soflips gloss, Maybelline Mineral Power Concealer and Covrgirl Simply Ageless Corrector.
Weekend plans: School ends on the 11th for me, and I have 7 more assignments to finish up, so I want to get 3 of them done this weekend!

Never tried anything by Kat von D before, but I’m in love with this palette. I have fair skin, light brown hair, and blue-gray eyes and usually stick to light neutrals, but these shadows add a flash of color without looking garish. Also my first Illamasqua polish; it’s the perfect light mint color I’ve been looking for. I’m doing better financially than I have in a long time, and this was a perfect way to celebrate!
As for weekend plans, just organizing, writing job applications, and generally getting my life in order; nothing terribly exciting.

Okay, so I’m in Vegas right now, so I did quite a but of shopping, over the whole week though:

Makeup wise:
I got some stuff from NYX (it’s really hard to find in Canada)3 jumbo pencils in electric blue, oyster and lime. The soft matte lip colour in Milan, mega shine lipgloss in LaLa and the Smokey look kit. I’m going back to get some morethings because I love the things I got! I also got the Urban Decay Sustainable palette and FINALLY THE NAKED PALETTE!!!!!!!! Omg!!!!! I went to sephora like an hour ago and when I saw that they had it I literally started jumping up and down!!!!!!

Haul: Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman (pixiwoo) brushes, I bought the core set, eye starter kit, powder brush, blush brush and stippling brush. Love them, they’re so soft and great quality. Urban Decay Lip Junkie lipgloss in Crush, an awesome hot pink (yay for Ulta beauty buy, it was $10) and…….a Naked palette! haha I finally jumped on that wagon.
Weekend plans: I’m dragging my fiance to see The Roommate at the $2 theater and we’ll eat at either Chick-Fil-A or Chili’s.
One product you recommend to everyone: Boots No. 7 color correcting primer for rosey/pink complexions. I have really pink cheeks and this stuff evens out my skintone so my foundation and blush have a nice clean canvas. Its also only $10 from Target and comes in other finishes.

Not many weekend plans for me – I’m low on money so I have to stay near my area if I venture out (i live in a metro city, so….)
But so far – I met up with a friend thats in town from Miami and we had lunch, and hung out a bit, went to the pool.. I ate at another restaurante later that same day..
Today I ran morning errands, went to the gym, then to the mall (apple store)
Also i’m starting a new job on monday (recession proof pay!) so ive been going back over my old school notes to get ready… (its at a hospital) Sunday I want to drive to the beach but, since gas suddenly jumpted to 3.69 and I need to have gas money for communiting to work next week, so instead of driving 1 hour to the beach, paying to park, and then spending money on food out there, Im just going to stay at my apartment and we have 2 pools and a hot tub here, and I jog around the neighborhood so, I can just do that tomorrow and go to church…and study my notes, and just get ready for monday. I went out dancing last weekend but this weekend I have to stay in. Thats more gas + cover charge I have to pay. So. Well you’re in California right, i bet gas there is already $4.
And congrats christine on working hard towards getting your MBA. I actually went back to school to get ANOTHER degree in a field thats more in demand. So after getting certified i only had a 4-5 week gap until I found a job.

I hauled Jack Black Lip balm among others last 2 weeks too but OMG I am so allergic to it. Not sure which ingredient but it made my lips swell up, my face went numb up to the bottom of my eye and my throat got sore. thank goodness for having anti histamines on hand. not fun at all. I really wanted to like it and I did except for the nasty reaction.

Yesterday I hauled: Orly mini nail lacquer called rage, Loreal diamond mascara + grey gris eye kohl, morroccan oil leave-in hair conditioner, urband decay eye primer comparable to NARS goddess stick which was sold out & a pretty shimmery pink Sephora lip stick.
