Sure thing! Have fun!
The fashion industry can go to hell. Shopping for a good cause? LOL They are treating women as if we are walking purses, throwing away money for things we do not need. The fashion industry does not contribute to the wellbeing of society except generating profit for themselves. The fashion industry promote extremely negative images for both male and female, propagate capitalism, and puts down women who are over size 8 while cherishing size 00. Shopping like mad does not benefit you, ladies, you will only throw away money that you don’t have for things you don’t need. Don’t be a statistics of bankruptcy.
I understand your opinion, especially based on the cherishment of a size 00 when statically sizes 8, 10, and 12 are among the average for women in the United States. However, just because we do not need things does not make it a bad thing to indulge ourselves once in awhile. Sometimes it just takes a new top, or a new liner, or new shoes to make a person (man or woman) feel a little spontaneous, crazy, and happy. I enjoy shopping, and who doesn’t enjoy window shopping? People don’t need to shop like crazy, but it doesn’t hurt to spend a little. Saving all your money for “necessities” would drive a person crazy in my own opinion! So I say if you can afford it, obviously, indulge yourself and buy something nice, or just have a good time 🙂
PS: If the fashion industry went to hell, a LOT of people would be out of jobs. It is in the interest of ANY company to make a profit, and other industries may not contribute to the well-being of society either.
To each his own :). I for one LOVE shopping. And a few friends and I already plan on hitting up MAC in Soho as well as Coach that night. I think it’s great for anyone who loves the art of fashion and makeup to run around the city and take in all the little events going on. I can’t wait. You don’t have to go and spend a fortune to celebrate fashion. Sometimes it’s enough just to be surrounded by it.
The reality is,retail sales are down, and this is a way to stimulate sales. For those of us who want to spend money, let them. For those of us who just want a few free drinks and food, and a night out with the girls
let’s have some fun, look at the “new fashions” (everything old is new again)(That means shopping in your well stocked and crowded closets)
Ladies, lighten up and just enjoy the evening. For the record, I am not a size 00. I’m a size 10 to 12,dress fashionably on a budget I purchase designer clothes on sale and at huge discounts.Being conservative in fashion,(but not in politics) means my clothes are fashionable for a few years. If you keep something long enough, it comes back in style.
They are going to be selling limited quantites early of the MAC Style Black collection at the few MAC stores participating in NYC 4 the CFDA’s Fashion’s Night Out shop event.Who is going?I wish I could go. If u go write a comment 2 tell what the products are like.
Hey, I’m a size 0/1 and there isn’t anything wrong with that.
Wish I was in NYC to take advantage of cocktails + skincare!
