Eva's Beauty Favorites from Asia

Eva considers herself thick-skinned and confident, so you’ll always find her in good spirits! You might find her serious and quiet, though, but she says there’s a part of her that’s childish and always giggling inside. She’s a carefree spirit who sometimes relies too much on luck, but she can’t help it.
Eva loves meeting new friends, especially those who share her passions. She gets easily obsessed and falls in love with new things, whether it’s a book, movie, or person. She also has a fascination for history and all things historical, especially European history! Check her out on DeviantArt!
Eva’s Beauty Favorites from Asia
Every region’s has to have something unique about their products, and today, I’m sharing my must haves from the local brands of Asia!
Sofina Primavista Long Keep Base ($48.00)
Sofina is a highly rated Japanese brand, which is famous for its foundations and base products.Primavista Long Keep Base is an absolute lifesaver for me, and it does a terrific job of controlling the oil from my t-zone. Although the base is light pink in color, it goes on colorless. I tend to layer a primer over this base for the best effect.
Majolica Majorca 4-pan Eyeshadow Palette ($28.00)
Majolica Majorca is a drugstore line from Shiseido, so one could get a idea of its quality. I love it for its affordable price tag and pretty packaging, but really, the superb quality is what makes it fantastic! I was blown away by how smooth and buttery these eyeshadows felt. The palette has complementary shades so it is easy to coordinate colors. Plus, the packaging is gorgeous; one of my palettes was from a special collection and the little edges were reminiscent of cookies. I’ve seen neutral, pink, purple, green palettes. The majority of these, however, have a lot of shimmer, which makes it ideal for gyaru makeup (anyone interested in knowing more?).
K-Palette 1 Day Tattoo Eyeliner ($15.50)
Stays on just like a tattoo–no smudging, fading, and absolutely waterproof. The precise brush is fabulous for drawing defined lines. I like applying my eyeliner after my fake lashes, so the precise tip allows me to get into the gaps that aren’t connected.
Etude Drawing Eyebrow Pencil ($10.00)
So easy to maneuver that a well-defined brow is just a sketch away. It’s also great for drawing a crease. The spoolie on the other end allows you to comb through your brow if you have a heavy hand and ended up drawing your brows too dark. The eyebrow pencils are mechanic, which means no product waste from sharpening. They come in brown and black.
shu uemura Skin Purifier ($40.00)
This has a fresh smell to it. My friend gave a sample size to me a few times, and they last for quite a while. She says buying the sample sizes are much better, since you won’t end up pouring as much as you would with the larger bottles, and if you calculate the overall price, it’s a better bang for the buck. (Though I haven’t done the math myself!) It removes makeup effectively, and the refreshing smell is quite pleasant. Pour a little amount into the palms of your hand and lather with water–so easy!
I wish I lived in Asia so I could get those Majolica Majorca palettes!
I am currently fighting the urge to buy another of the MM palettes *drools
Oh dear… the price of the palette is a bit off… It’s actually about $15 at Sasa!
i’ll have to check out the skin purifier since u can get it in the US thx!
Just have to say you look gorgeous in your avatar Eva!
Thank you ^^~
I’d love a post about gyaru makeup!
Me too!
this is why i need to move to asia!!! so many awesome makeup and beauty products x
I like your blog 🙂
Funny thing is my friend gave me an Illamasqua Lipgloss as a birthday present, and while I was holding it, it felt like I was holding London in my palm, LOL!
I guess we all want what we don’t have XD
I have extremely oily skin and the Sofina Primavista Long Keep Base is the only base that keeps my foundation from melting off. In the hot humid Japanese summers this base is a lifesaver!
I’ve heard their foundations are really good too! But I still have a whole bottle of MUFE to finish……
Wasn’t such a big fan of their foundations…The formula was mediocre for the price and their color range is limited to lighter tones only. I am a NC35 and that was too dark for their line.
Umm…Asia? That’s an effing big continent, lol.
I have to check out Majolica Majorca. Never knew that Shiseido has a cheaper off-brand!
I would like to know more about gyaru makeup, because I like shimmer eyeshadows! Can we have post about this?
