Do you use wish lists for beauty products you want?
I don’t since I have the privilege of buying products to review so there’s not much I’m wanting that isn’t… already… purchased. I don’t keep wish lists in other areas of my life until Christmas comes around, then I usually put together some items for family.
Yes I do. Although lately I can’t pull up Sephora’s Love list anymore in Firefox, so quit using their list.
Absolutely, yes, I do! One of my personal favorite things about your site, but only after your reviews and occasional editorial pieces, is the “Wishlist” feature. This helps me to prioritize which purchases I will indulge in first. Or perhaps reminding me about ones I’ve had on the backburner for a bit too long, too. As for a written out list, I do occasionally have one. Especially for a new, large scale release.
I keep a wishlist on sephora to make it easier to reach a purchase threshold if there’s a perk I want, or if there’s a sale and something was too expensive for my budget. It’s not a wishlist per se, more of a don’t- forget- these-things list.
Yup! I have a wishlist on my laptop’s virtual sticky note. I’m on a semi-permanent low-buy so I can’t just go out and buy everything that catches my eye, but I like to keep track. This is what’s on it right now:
NARS Dolce Vita blush
NARS Intriguing pencil
Nabla Alchemist
Smashbox Primer Water
Lancome Soir
Glossier Storm
Bobbi Brown Ruby
Melt Voyeur & Mural & Stepford
Sydney Grace The Greatest Gift & Lemon Cream
Shiro Silver Apple
(NARS Dolce Vita blush and Glossier Storm are apparently dupes but I haven’t decided which one I want to go with.)
Sometimes. I used to use the Sephora online Loves list to keep track of things I wanted to reorder, but now they have a new format where you can do that with a dedicated list for previously ordered items, so I might start using the wishlist (Loves) for its intended purpose, but I’m trying to minimize purchases at Sephora and get what I can from Ulta. I’ve just recently started using the My Favorites list at Ulta — don’t know why it took me so long; is it new? Maybe I just dididn’t notice it before. A few indie companies have wishlists on their websites, and I’ll add stuff, but I often forget to look at them, then end up not remembering something I wanted until after it’s been discontinued.
I’ve never had a written (or digital) wishlist outside of whatever companies provide on their websites.
