Do you match your nail polish to your makeup? How do you choose what polish color to wear?

I actually so wear actual polish, LOL. I usually keep my nails bare so I can swatch whenever I need to. But if I do, it’s based on my mood!

Only on special occasions. Sometimes I keep my nails bare, or I’m too lazy to remove the polish & get something matching with my makeup (except when it is needed, like vampy dark polish with cute feminine makeup :D)
no, never… my nails have a mind (and color) of their own.
I usually keep my nails in neutral colors so it can go with anything. Since I tend to wear natural make up, they kinda matched in some ways 😛

I never do. Except if its for a special occasion like im in a wedding or when i went to prom. I did it the other night for an event at one of the mac counters i work at thought!!!
I hardly ever do my nails. I wear polish till it chips off. So no quick changes, and fussing. I’ll do them special for some occasions, but thats it.

Not really. I usually only paint them once every couple of weeks, so it’s just whatever color is calling to me that day!
Never. I’m far too lazy with my nails. When I do get around to doing my nails, I just do them whatever color I feel like at the moment.
I don’t put forth any conscious effort to match them. If it happens it’s great. If not I’ll live as well.
I normally do my nails once a week and I choose the colour depending on my mood. Right now I wear OPI At first sight, last week OPIs We’ll always have Paris.
I’ve been obsessed with nail polish as long as I can remember! I have waaaay too much and never enough! My nails get painted first and then everything else (clothes, make up) gets selected based on the color I have on my nails! Cray much? Yeah…

My nails definitely do their own thing…but normally their either a baby pink, nude, red, or black. (Ha! That color doesn’t really seem like it would fit in there does it?) =)
Only for a really special occasion … like a wedding or a formal thing, or maybe my anniversary.
Generally, nail-polish is bare (I’m an artist, it just gets messed up with paint or mangled when I’m making jewelry). But I do like having nail color, so when I do, it’s chosen by mood and my color loves of the moment.
It’s kinda impossible for me to match them, since I change my polish about once in two weeks. So the answer is never.
I match them more with my outfit. Actually I dress in the same colour family when I paint my nails =)
I don’t necessarily match it to my make up. I do, however, make sure that it does not clash with my clothes. I was to accentuate and not distract.
Nah I paint my nails once a week. And that’s only because I volunteer at the veterinary college small animal surgery ward and I can’t wear it there! I take it off on Sunday, new polish Monday.
Very very sometimes… Generally I can only leave my nail polish on for a few days before I start picking at it, so it’s easier not to bother.

Not really. My nail colour normally depends on the season. In winter I will have darker, warm colours, in spring i have light pastel colours, in summer i have bright colours and so on.

Nope, I don’t really think about matching most of the time. When I do match, I might do a pair, irridescent nudy pink for a nice night out or something. Otherwise, I choose nail polish based on how fun it is.
Depends on the mood , sometimes i love to wear a hot pink lipstick with the same color on nails ..

I paint my nails only once a week on average, so I never try to match it to my makeup.
I hardly ever wear nail polish and if I do, it certainly won’t be matching my make up (or maybe by accident, lol).
Only when it’s a special occasion. Otherwise, no. I’d be changing my nail polish every day if I did that, which is something I’m just too lazy to do.
i do! i paint my nails once or twice a week and sort of let that set the tone for the clothes i pick and the make up i use. as nerdy and OCD as it sounds, i like a look to have narrative unity ^^
Yes, i do like to match my polish to my makeup. Like, i can wear a neutral eye with a bright eyeliner on my lower lashline and then the polish matches the liner. Or, if i’m wearing red/berry lips, the polish is also red/berry.
The first day I polish them I might get some inspiration from my makeup but after that usually not.
I definitely do not match my nail polish to my MU. sometimes the other way but usually just what ever colour I’m wearing and I rarely care if it clashes or not! I honestly chose NP colour on season and whatever I happen to feel like. 😀

My nails and make-up always match (or complement) my clothes. Sometimes I change my polish colour on a daily basis. But I enjoy doing it.
I change my nail polish every Sunday and I normally pick whatever is in fashion at the moment. I pretty much follow the current trends. The only time I match my nail polish to my makeup is for special occasions.

Nevah! I am sporting MAC Pretty Please on my lips, but OPI Dim Sum Plum on my nails.

Not usually. Nail Polish lasts longer than my makeup does, so I paint my nails depending on my mood. Plus I have nail polish colors, that if I had makeup to match it would have to be halloween or something. Example: Neon Orange!
