Do you have a weekend look?

I don’t! The makeup I wear from day to day doesn’t vary based on it being a weekday vs. weekend, but that’s because I’m the boss at my work 😉

LOL this is the best answer ever.

No I don’t either. Just what eve I’m in the mood for 🙂 although maybe I do a little less for church? Mostly because I’m running late anyway and have no time 😀

Not really!!

I’m in recovery from now until July from my tumor, so I’m not doing much in my day to day besides doctors visits haha!

I’ll take longer to do my makeup on weekends, because I usually can’t take loads of time on the week days.

Thank you so much Genevieve!!

I’m recovering REMARKABLY according to my surgeon! He says because i’m a young adult my body is able to take the hit and bounce back so quickly!!

I’m in quite a bit of pain, and I need 3 more root canals (I’v had 5 already this year!) but my recovery is going by quickly!!

A little less, more simple than the work week. So maybe least touch of eyeliner or none, more neutral / fewer shades of eyeshadows. Occasionally I’ll use a weekend to try out different looks or products I’ve not used in a while.

Kinda! Mon-Fri, I work and my commute is so long that I’m out for at least 11 hours each day. I don’t want to wake up earlier than I have to to do a full face. I also can’t wear contacts to work because my eyes can’t handle them for that long, so I just go to work with brows, some mascara (sometimes), and a lip product.

On weekends, I love playing with makeup because I have the free time to do a creative look that I wouldn’t wear to work. My looks are pretty bold or dark on weekends.

Whether it’s a weekend or not doesn’t impact what I choose to wear on any given day. Although I will say that *most* Saturdays are my major maintenance days. That’s when I do my hair for the week, weekly manicure, and whatnot, so I may not have time to do makeup that day unless I know that I have to go out. Sunday is the day I do tend to do a full face of makeup for the meeting at my place of worship. My personal schedule dictates so much more what I’m going to wear vs. day of the week.

Sometimes waaay less (since I’m at the gym most Saturday mornings and sometimes on Sunday also) but then more, since the rest of the time is “my” time so I can wear brighter colours on my eyes if I want to (I tend to be fairly subdued during the week, preferring neutral eyes but on the weekend, anything goes…well as “anything goes” as I am likely to get).

Nope! Weekends are usually makeup free, unless I’m going out somewhere but even then, it’s just my normal made up face. I can wear whatever I like at work, so can wear blue eyeliner on Tuesday’s if I want ;-))

My weekend look is no make-up. I’m usually at the gym or a yoga class in the morning and then running errands on the weekend. The only time I wear make-up on the weekend is if I’m going to an event (concert, wedding, etc.) and then I’ll add eyeliner, brows, and a red lip to the mix. But really, my full make-up routine during the week is pretty much how I always do my make-up (just color variations playing around). I like playing with color, but just don’t have the time for eyeliner and brows in the morning.

Weekends are when I get to wear makeup! I’ll go all out just for a trip to the store just because I can. If I go somewhere before work I might wear something, but it depends on whether or not I want to wash my face before work.

Simpler on the weekends for me. I usually take full advantage of my cream products and just swipe it on my lips, cheeks and sometimes eyes. I love Laura Mercier’s cream stick in bronze and Rituel de fille cream blush. My YSL lip tint in oil are my preference for lips. If I go to dinner then I’ll do a bit more.

I don’t per se but I do make it a point to wear foundation. I don’t during the week bc I don’t want to be bothered and I don’t have time for touch ups but I’m also trying to use up foundations so I must wear foundation on non work days!

Weekdays are the days when I wear neutral make up with the products that I know work well, are low maintenance and I can practically apply with my eyes closed. Weekend is for “trying out”, using my not so good but fun hues and more elaborate looks that require some time in the morning. Sometimes after playing with a look for a couple of weekends I become confident enough to “transfer” it to my weekdays

I probably wear the same “amount” of makeup on the weekdays as I do on the weekends, but my choices in products are colors are different. For example, I pretty much always wear highlighter, but on the weekdays I may go with an Ambient Lighting Powder or the Glossier Haloscope in Topaz, but on the weekend I might wear Milk’s Holographic stick. Same type of product, totally different effect.

I often pair quirky lip colors I’m not allowed to wear to work with a minimal eye on weekends. OCC Derelict (olive green), MAC Show and Teal, MELT Space Cake (gray) or DoGAF (frosty blue), etc.

Genevieve Avatar

No, not at all. It’s not just that I have retired from teaching, because I was able to wear whatever makeup I liked to work (I didn’t go in for goth looks!). It really depends on the season and what I am wearing to co-ordinate with. It’s also that I have discovered much better quality makeup and how to use it in the past few years.

Betty Avatar

Not a weekend look per se, but I do tend to spend a little more time on my makeup and try more adventurous eye and lip colors if I’m going out on the weekend.

Since I have a weekend job, my look doesn’t change too much. On my own time, like if I’m going out after work, I might wear some things that are maybe not as appropriate for work, or wear them differently. Example, I love true purple lipstick. But I’m not sure it’s work-appropriate, so if I wear it to work, I tone it down with gloss or neutrals over it. But on my own time, I will wear that purple on its own. But that’s really it. Since I work so much, I make an effort to do makeup and look pretty for work, or else I would never get the chance to do it.

I don’t always wear makeup on the weekend, but when I do it consists of the following:

Primer: Monistat Anti-Chafing Gel
Foundation: Sephora Microsmooth Powder Foundation
Brows: Sephora Retractable Eyebrow Pencil in Soft Charcoal
Eyeliner: UD 24/7 Double Ended Pencil in Zero (lower lash line)/Whiskey (upper lash line)
Lips: opaque gloss chosen for the day
Blush: color coordinated with the lip gloss
