A long, hot shower with a body scrub (I like ME! scrubs), followed by hydrating (Kiehl’s Creme de Corps) from head to toe. Possibly a face mask or face scrub. If I’m feeling REALLY indulgent, I’ll paint (or re-paint) my toe nails.

Once a week I do this: Nice long shower. Exfoliating body scrub (LUSH Cup o’ Coffee). Deep condition my hair (Briogeo Don’t Despair Repair). Face mask (LUSH Mask of Magnaminty or Albertini Warm Love Pumpkin). Soak my feet and slough calluses. Lotion from head to toe (LUSH Celestial, St Ives intensive healing, Burt’s Bees peppermint foot cream). Pluck my brows. Trim and paint my nails.
Lush has the best items for pamper evenings!
They’re one of my favorite brands!
A nice hot shower, with tons of rich lather, using a soft body mitt rubbed with a coconut oil soap, followed by shea butter body lotion. A deep conditioning mask for my hair. A deep clean mask for my face, with grapefruit extracts. And I love that Kiehl Crème De Corps, but I would go broke using it !
No, I don’t really have a routine. Whenever I need pampering I’ll do a face exfoliation and mask, then shower with some body wash that smells good, sometimes use a scrub or loofah, then use a body butter or lotion (depending on the season) and, not very often, a foot lotion. The products I use change every time depending on my mood!
During the week when i come home i like to indulge in a face scrub or face mask, hot shower, some television and then a long nap lol
Right now mine is kind of limited because of mobility issues, but when I can I like to do a face mask, and sometimes if possible a good body scrub if my arms are up for it.
It USED to be a nice long evening, starting with baking because that’s how I roll, followed by a long, hot shower with a hair mask, good body scrub and then something really hydrating like L’Occitane’s Almond Supple Skin Oil, then a good foot soak and scrub followed by moisturizing them and some nice soft socks to lock moisture in, then a face mask (or two depending on how stripping the first one was), a good hand scrub, manicure and moisturizer, then a movie in comfy PJs eating the baked goods I just made. I would literally start at like 3 pm on Sunday and go until bedtime. It was so freaking rejuvenating and got me ready for the next week or month or whatever until the next run.
Saturday is usually reserved for self-pampering! I’ll do some facial exfoliating followed up with whatever mask I feel my face needs; either the black pore refining Boscia one or one by Glamglow ( I would get up to read the label, but my itty bitty black kitty Pookie has me put! ), then onto shampooing with Matrix Biolage Exquisite Oil Moringa Oil Shampoo (smells ridiculously good! ) and deep conditioning it with Ogx Keratin Oil ( it has Argan oil ), put my various leave-ins on, blow dry it straight, and then onto finishing my nails, which earlier I would’ve had all polish taken off, trimmed nails & cuticles, put on hardener. Not always in this order, I might add!
Not really. I mean, I do have pampering sessions, usually on Sunday, but I don’t really have a fixed routine.
I’m a student so lately I’ve been pampering myself at least once a week while I stay up late and study/do homework. I will take a long shower and do a body scrub then use coconut oil all over my body. I tend to pamper my face more than any other part of my body ahaha I’ll exfoliate using whatever method I feel like that day. Lately I’ve been alternating between the Nelly De Vuyst 3-Minute Gommage Exfoliating Cream and the Cure Aqua Gel. Then I’ll use a sheet mask, clay mask or peeling mask; again depending on my skin issues that week. I’ll finish off with an oil and then moisturizer.
I do pamper myself sporadically. First I’ll run a hot bath, dampen my hair a bit, apply Philip Kingsley Elasticizer to my hair and put a shower cap on. Then I’ll get in the bath and use the Soap and Glory Flake Away Body Scrub which smells amazing. I’ll get myself washed etc. then I’ll lie back for as long as I want. When I’m done I’ll take off the shower cap and rinse my hair. Then I’ll shampoo and apply either conditioner or another treatment depending on how my hair is. I love the Milk_Shake Integrity Repairing Hair Treatment, you can feel a big difference after only one use! After all that I’ll get out and into my jammies, dry my hair and apply skincare, and then into a nice clean bed. Bliss!
My regular “pamper” is:
Monday night: Living Proof Night Cap Overnight Protector
Wednesday morning: Swap regular conditioner with a Hask deep conditioner (rotate between macadamia nut oil and coconut/argan oil)
Wednesday night: Choice of face mask depending on skin condition at the time OR Trish McEvoy Triangle of Light eye mask
Friday morning: Replace regular conditioner with Living Proof Restore hair mask
Friday night: Trish McEvoy weekly peel
Friday night or Saturday morning: Mani/pedi
Saturday morning: Trish McEvoy Blackberry Vanilla scrub
Every morning: Essie Feet in the Clouds foot cream
Every night: Trish McEvoy Vitamin C Cream, cuticle oil or cream, Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask
Daily: Essie Many Many Mani throughout day as needed – I have pump bottles all through my house and a tube in my handbag
As a note, I have taken care of my skin with cleansers and moisturizers since I was a teen. But after first being diagnosed with breast cancer (2010) and then diabetes (2014) I realized the importance of diligence with a “routine”. Even more, I also realized that there are a lot of things we cannot control – but caring for ourselves is entirely up to us. This is when I really got into skincare (and makeup) as a treat for myself. All in all, I can live with this vice 🙂
Not really! I would love to invest in some fun face masks, but I’ve yet to come across one that does more good than harm to my ultra-sensitive skin. 🙁 Sometimes I’ll pack on my usual moisturizer or serum until my face can’t absorb any more and let it sit for awhile before washing off, but that’s as close to pampering as I get 🙂
I use a mask once or twice a week. I’m not really good at doing nothing at home. So, I usually slap it on and read email or do work or something. I recently got wrangled into joining Massage Envy so I guess I should use the actual massages I am paying for, lol! I also do my own pedicures and manicures. But, I prefer the salon. But, it is an easy money saver. For a compromise, often, I will do my own pedicure and let them do my manicure. I keep telling myself, I going to start taking more time to take care of the things I would like to more. But, I really have not quite yet. I guess I feel like the makeup I buy is enough.
Honestly, I pamper myself by getting a monthly massage. I got a subscription for my birthday at a local massage parlor and get massages for 30 bucks a month.
If it’s not time for that, I will use the Peter Thomas Roth pumpkin face scrub, take a Lush bath (I love You’ve Been Mangoe’d!, but i also like to add in Epsom salt) then douse my hair in coconut oil, and watch a guilty pleasure show on Netflix (I really like Heartland for that, or the Fosters) and just relax with a bottle of wine in the bath tub.
Afterwards, I take a shower to wash out the coconut oil, light a candle, put on a sleeping facial, and snuggle into onesie pajamas and go take a nice nap <3
I never liked naps until after I turned 25, but they in themselves is a luxury that is worth it.
I don’t get to indulge myself at home very often. I guess when I do, it’s a longer shower, deeper hair conditioning, and a face mask. I think of going out to the salon for manicures, waxing and pedicures as my real pampering. I have to get out of my crazy house.
A nice soak in bubble bath, exfoliating my face, then applying a mask followed by a nice rich moisturiser. Bliss!!
I don’t have a set routine. I like to use my Salux towel and Weleda body wash at least once a week. I don’t take long showers every time just because I’m water conscious. I use a mask once a week, which is usually Fresh Black Tea Instant Perfecting and I use PTR UnWrinkle Pads twice a week. I don’t really look at any of this as pampering, though. It’s maintenance. Honestly, I haven’t done anything “pampering” since 2010.
Hot showers and deep conditioner for my hair. Face masks, too, only because I have a quadrillionbillion of them, and I need to use them up before they expire. If I really want to go all out, get a haircut.
A lovely long bath, using an exfoliating scrub on myself. I do my hands and feet as well. Lots of nourishing moisture cream afterwards. The products I use are from the Natio range – an Australian based, cruelty free company that has the best bath and body products around.
As much as I love makeup, I get really bored with the other stuff. I find shaving/exfoliating/moisturizing SUCH a chore so I do it as infrequently as possible 😉 I probably put leave-in conditioner in my hair maybe twice a year??
Once a week I exfoliate my face with a Dermalogica exfoliant I can’t remember the name of and then leave on the Dermalogica power recovery mask overnight.
My idea of pampering myself is to run a hot bath with the door locked so none of the kids can wander in, light a candle and read a book with a glass of wine in hand.
Yes! I have a night time skin care routine which includes washing my face with Dove Soap, the cucumber and green tea variety with hot water and a thick terry facecloth. I pat my face dry with a terrycloth bath towel and I use Black and White fade cream to fade out on some of the black marks I created by picking the pus out of my blackhead on my face. Next comes the cocoa butter stick I spread on my face to moisturize overnight, I rub it really good so it melts in my skin. Lastly, I put on my Watkins Peppermint lip balm to moisturize my lips overnight as well. For nails, if the color is chipping on one or all nails, I take the color off my fingernails as well as toenails and redo them again so everything is uniform. I also push back my cuticles and trim them so my hands look more polished, not ragged and sloppy.
I only have a pampering routine during the winter months. That’s when I can add some bath salts and scented bubble bath to the therapy tub and soak with the jets on for thirty minutes. It’s too hot during the summer (and STILL too hot here) to enjoy the tub. I am SO ready for cooler weather but I don’t see any in sight. The forecast is 95° here tomorrow. =(
When I can squeeze it in I usually do an extensive full-on home spa routine starting with washing my hair and deep conditioning with a hair mask, conditioning cap and some heat provided by my soft bonnet dryer attachment. Then I steam my face with the Mullen and Sparrow Facial Steam Tea and a towel and bowl. I follow by washing my face with GlamGlow SuperCleanse and follow with their SuperMud Mask and BrightGlow Eye Treatment (sometimes using my Skin Iceland under eye gel patches when I remember). I may go straight to the cleanser/mask without steaming as well on occasion. I then use my foot bath with Avon’s Foot Works soak and scrubs and then put on a mixture of their different foot creams with moisturizing socks. I use my Mary Kay Satin Hands Scrub and lotions on my hands after that. When that is done I usually sit letting everything soak in and catch up on my DVR.
