Do you ever use your powder products wet?

Do you ever use your powder products wet? Like eyeshadow? Blush?

.

Almost never; the only time I do is when I know it’s not going to leave a wet stain/spot behind, but I prefer using them dry.

I rarely do it, and even then it’s only with loose shadows. I worry too much with pressed shadows about having a weird hard spot form =/

Love using eyeshadows wet..I love an intese color payoff. I use mixing medium to make it vibrant and last. Eyeko has a new formula that you can take the brush, dip it in pigment or powder and poof a liner. Just for $12. Ive been havin a ball with it and it can apply loose glitter too

Never! I know many people use pigments or mineral produts wet but I don’t even do that. I prefer using good bases and the powders in their original form. I’ve never had a problem doing this.

I often use dry products wet but only with rules. Frost and high shimmer products I will use wet. The only wet/dry foundation that doesn’t get completely disgusting is the Lancome Dual foundation and it is great for working with individuals 50-70 years old because it is so forgiving.

I always use wet MAC mineralize eyeshadows from Style black colletion, sometimes I use MAC pigments with a wet brush, but generally I prefer apply dry eyeshadows 😉

Honestly, never. I even use my pigments dry because I feel like I have more control over the layering. As for blushes, I could never see that work on me.

I use the studi fix powder foundation wet when I need a little extra coverage. I also like to use minrealized eye shadows wet as I think the color payoff is better.

I have only used a powder eyeshadow wet as a liner. Once it’s wet, I only use it for liner…it’s kinda ruined once the water is introduced to it.

I find that Chanel shadows work much better when they are wet, however, I try not to saturate them too much. I often wet my liner brush to use with a lot of shadows as an eyeliner.

It depends for me. I use mineral makeup for the most part and, when I want heavier coverage, will use a wet brush to apply it. I’ve also used damp eyeshadow brushes to foil my eyeshadows.

Sure do! Well, depending on the look, and whether I have a cream base in any corresponding colors. Particularly the MUFE creams work SOO well to brighten colors and be a good base, with just a layer of dry shadow or powder over it. or i might use it wet if i watn a particular color of liquid liner. So its not that often, but i DO use things wet.

All the time. I typically buy shadows only if they able to wear wet and dry, so Chanel and NARS are at the top of my list. I love having a matte eye liner look, and using wet shadows allows me a huge array of shades to choose from.

I rarely mix up a mixing medium from water and glycerin for some of my chunkier loose pigments or my MAC MES, but I generally prefer to use everything dry since it’s a lot less hassle and I don’t have to worry about ruining my shadow or having to avoid the spot if I want to use it dry in the same look.

I have scraped some eyeshadow off the pan before and put it into a Lise Watier solution (can’t remember the name) that makes powders into eyeliners. That’s it though.

Oh and a couple times I accidentally put a damp brush on my e/s pans and they have a weird spot now 🙁

I have used some powder eye shaddows wet when I felt like they were too light or I wanted to contour with it and it’s worked but I don’t do it very often. Interestingly, I never had a problem with a wet spot being left. I can’t imagine doing it with blush or powder foundation.

Very occasionally and only eyeshadows (to turn them into eyeliners) and pigments. I don’t even know why you’d want to apply blush wet, yuck. 🙂

Sable Avatar

I use eyeshadow wet frequently, especially when I’m trying to get a more intense color. I also like wetting shadow to use for eyeliner

Lila Avatar

I use a lot of my mineral shadows wet, but it depends on the look im going for.
if i want something extra flashy then thats when I foil them, but if not i keep it the way it is.

Alicia Avatar

i use pigments wet sometimes depending on the look. using them wet is fun when youre in the mood to switch up how they apply. i loooove chocolate brown pigment dry but its to die for when used wet!

Mel Avatar

I use pigments wet half of the time to avoid fall out and/or to get better color pay off. I have only done it with mineral eye shadows a couple times.

Anastasia Avatar

I almost always use loose powder eyeshadow wet, then dry over it for better blending. Although now that I have Fyrinnae’s pixie epoxy, rarely, since I don’t need to with it.

Jezi Avatar

I rarely do, but I will usually use a pressed eyeshadow wet if it’s a color that I find is too intense to wear normally, but I feel more confident with it as an eyeliner.

Sometimes I’ve used pigments and mineral shadows wet, but only if there are adhesion/intensity problems.

Melissa Avatar

I will pick up shadow with the brush and then spray the brush in order to use the shadow wet, otherwise I don’t because I’m concerned about damaging the product.
