The Details
5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette, $63.00 (Limited Edition)
The legendary palette bears the sequin motif inspired by the work of the Haute Couture ateliers. The texture blends into the lids and sculpts the eyes with pearly light and dense ultra-pigmented shadow. A texture that deposits an ultra-pigmented veil with no powdery effect.
- Smoky Sequins (066)
- Precious Embroidery (776)
Diorific Lips, $38.00 (Limited Edition)
Diorific is housed in a gold Dior collector case, the jewel of the collection. A unique formula in rich shades with a luminous, long-lasting matte finish and perfectly shaped and defined lips to create a captivating, sophisticated look. Apply in a swath of dense magnetic colour, or in touches at the center of the lips.
- Golden (006)
Diorific Matte Lipstick, $38.00 (Limited Edition)
In a limited edition, Diorific reinvents the purest expression of the powdery matte finish for the first time in a fine film that glides on with incredible comfort. An easy-wearing matte whose secret lies in its unique use of an exceptionally soft and velvety micronized silicon powder. The “powdery” silicon smoothes colour with no streaking while striking a subtle balance between hold and comfort. Unlike traditional matte makeup, this formula continuously moisturizes lips without drying them. Finer, sheerer and less opaque, Diorific Matte radiates colour with a subtle velvety finish. From an easy rosewood to the iconic red, along with the flashiest and trendiest corals and pinks, this utterly modern and elegant matte lipstick truly makes a statement and can be worn on any lips.
- Charm (440)
- Ravissement (560)
- Fascination (880)
- Splendor (950)
Diorshow Mono Eyeshadow, $31.00 (Limited Edition)
A weightless texture that blends into the skin and dresses the eye in velvety colour. In a single step, it creates an even and intense matte finish for a professional makeup effect.
- Infinity (751)
Diorific Vernis, $28.00 (Limited Edition)
- Nova (Top Coat)
- Golden (328)
- Splendor (850)
- Cosmic (899)

Nothing new here, but gosh the quads are pretty. That grapey matte lip looks interesting.
Love the pattern on the eyeshadows and all the lipstick colors. The eyeshadow colors are alright, nothing special. I wish they were jewel tones or something, even a bright pop of a color would’ve been nice to see.
as usual, the packaging is lovely. the palettes look so pretty but I’m afraid to order since their shadows have really been inconsistent. I’m going to wait to see what you think before I spend $63 on the palettes. I may get one of the nail lacquers though (if I get a good promo); I’ve had very good luck with them in the past.
I received Precious Embroidery last week and it’s the same texture as last year’s holiday palette – very smooth, pigmented, and easy to blend. There was a bit of fallout but it was gorgeous nonetheless 🙂
Sheila, wow, great, thank you! Precious Embroidery was the one I really wanted. It reminds me of the failed MAC x Zac Posen palette a bit.
i really like the esthetic of dior…too bad the quality isn’t on par with the design
You didn’t get any info on the highlighter? I am dying for it!
Sorry, Erin! My info comes from retailers usually so I am bound to what they actually list on the site!
OK thanks… I see it’s up on Neiman Marcus with no highlighter too, agghhhh!
Dior does such beautiful prints on their eye quads. I just wish the shadows performed! Then again, I went cruelty free earlier this year so Dior is no longer on my list. Makes it easier to pass. 🙂
Loving the middle shades in both of those 5-pans but I’ll wait for reviews (hopefully from you, Christine) to see if I buy either (seems pointless for 1 shade in each and the bottom right one in the more plummy one – “Precious Embroidery”, I’m guessing)
Eh… nothing I have to have. The lipsticks and quads look pretty as usual. Proof will be in the pudding.
I better feed my piggy bank because this is going to be a hefty holiday makeup season for me! Dior does drive me bananas though with their collections because many of the products, that you see on Instagram, are not available in the U.S. xo
I am a sucker for the print on the quads and the colors, even though I think their holiday collection a year or two ago had similar colors which I still have. So pretty though!
Gorgeous press pattern on that quad! The colours aren’t especially appealing or unique for me but A+ on the presentation!
Ah! Even though it is not super special, I do love the appearance of the single shadow and the Precious Embroidery quint, so pretty. I hope this swatches well.
The sequin embossing on the quints is pretty, but I’m not holding out much hope for the shadows on my super oily lids. The gold and purple lipsticks look interesting though!
I LOVE this collection! The sequin pattern is SO BEAUTIFUL. The red lip and nail theme is getting kinda boring, but I’m liking the new shadows.
Probably too much to hope for, but I really DO hope the quints are great quality! They both *look* so pretty!
The plum one. My heart skipped a beat… It’s okay, I’ll be brought back to reality when the swatches suck. Or will they…?
Pretty but Peter Phillips is at Dior now isn’t he? Because I think I can recall a sequin pressed pattern on a highlighter for Chanel a few years back when he was with Chanel.
Yeah he is– and I think this sequin pattern is much better with the threads, lol, the Chanel one looked like Cheerios.
That palette is beautiful!
Ooooh, so pretty !! Love the imprint in the eye shadows.
Monica.
I honestly don’t need anything here, but the packaging and design sure are pretty.
That sequin embossing on the eyeshadow palettes is killing me. So gorgeous. I’d really like to own one. Or both. But I only buy Dior when it performs, so I hope these are good. I always hope the 2012 Bonne Etoile and Constellation quality will come back.
The Diorific lipstick is almost always good. I gotta get one of those this year.
I think the eye shadow palettes are gorgeous – but I’m pretty much staying with my liquid eye shadows because it’s so easy for me.
Oh wow, the cool-toned eyeshadow palette is almost the exact same color combination as the one from 2 Holidays ago. That palette was really poor quality with extremely dry and dusty shadows, so hopefully this one will be better.
I’ve also seen sneak peek pictures showing a liquid matte lipstick, I hope it will come to the US too!
The grey quad is beautiful – I hope it is really good. But I am not holding my breath…..
Honestly, pretty much always write these off due to inconsistency. But wore a way old Dior quint called sable this past w.e. (Matchy/matchy for a mustardy gold shade that was only there in my stash) but let me tell you that it has in no way spoiled over the years. Whatever time frame that was, Dior was quite reliable. Got quite a few in that small square blue quint style.
Hi, Christine!
I’ve seen pictures of a highlighter-which is supposed to be included in this collection-all over the internet, but I can’t find it in any store. I don’t know whether it’s already sold out or hasn’t launched yet. Do you know anything about this?
Dior didn’t include it in their press release.
Thank you for the info! I’ll keep an eye out for it. I’m in love with that sequin design! XD
Hi
Selfridges has the highlighter I just bought it today.
OMG! Thank you very much!!!
