This calls to me much more strongly than any of their other releases of the past. . . I don’t know how long! I hope they perform as well as they look pretty in their pictures!

Looking at that eyeshadow palette just repeatedly echoes out the phrase “yes girl give us nothing” in my head. Isn’t that literally the same palette as that Ulta exclusive 9-pan? I’m so confused. It’s pretty, for sure – it’s not that I don’t see it being a staple in many people’s routines just that… They could’ve done so much more with the cactus theme? There’s only one green… If this was like a dusty rose and multiple sage greens (akin to the ND Mini Retro) it would be genuinely new and refreshing to the market but this is just…. Sigh.
The creme shadows seem intriguing. I have bought the Mac Paint Pot for eyeshadow primer recently but getting a cheaper alternative someday in the future is definitely something to consider. I just hope Colourpop doesn’t discontinue these in 3 months or something.
The most likely products from this collection to end up in my stash are definitely the lip oils. If anything is glossy and goes on the lips I’m interested.

I like the look of this launch. I wish there was a little more contrast in some of the eye shadow shades in the palette but when swatched they may be quite different so will have to wait and see. I always love a good champagne shade and the Jelly Much looks like a nice one with maybe a subtle pinky undertone. We will see when swatches and reviews pop up. I have picked up quite a few SG shadows lately and the palette so I really don’t need a new eye shadow palette but that has never stopped me before. I haven’t purchased anything from CP for awhile given the pandemic stoppage but this might be a nice release to try them again.

I’m… extremely, extremely disappointed in this collection. I don’t see any REAL inspiration from “wild” deserts, nothing whatsoever in the palette, blushes, even the cream and jelly much shadows for deep skintones. When I saw someone’s swatches of the palette, it looks like there are four unique shades (but all within the same depth family) and the rest are dupes of each other. It baffles me that they’re still doing this. I’m a light tan skintone, and three of those “deep” mattes would look the same on my skin, while three of those “light” shimmers would also look the same. That green I fear would be terribly ashy. As for the blushes, they’d probably work for me but not someone darker than me, and it’s just disgraceful that the collection is so tone deaf. STILL. Colourpop has been releasing tone deaf palettes all year so far.

This looks a much better collection than what we have seen in the past – no pressed glitters and hopefully no substand shades. I also hope that the bottom row of shades are not too similar to each other either. The cream shadows are interesting. I wish the brand would put out some more Lux Lipsticks… as these are my favourites from CP.

My first thought looking at this was: why are there these 3 same colors in the bottom row? Really, the palette would be much better off with a second green, maybe matte… Good that there is no pressed glitter, but am wonderibg if the supershock formula does dry down in a palette after some time? Really curious for the creme eyeshadows – so they are supposed to work also as primers – really great then there are different shades there!

While this is cool, it would’ve been cooler if they did just pinks and greens. It has been shown quite a few times that palettes don’t always need to have highlight and crease colors to be a palette.
That way everyone can pull in their own highlights, crease colors, etc to pull a look together. It would also be more friendly to darker skintones. Let’s not even talk about the blushes though, I don’t think any of them would actually show up on me.

I agree, an olive green matte shade and a metallic light green would have been nice. A pop of pink. The rest of the shadows look just like their other “neutral” palettes.

The cream shadows look very promising though!
