ColourPop Uh-Huh Honey Palette Makeup Look Ideas (x8)

ColourPop Uh-Huh Honey 9-Pan Pressed Powder Palette ($12.00 for 0.36 oz.) is a yellow-themed palette, and as it is monochromatic, it’s not the most versatile palette on its own but should be a great complement to adding pops of yellow to any looks when paired with other palettes in your stash.
I did purposefully omit Palooza, which is a Pressed Glitter and isn’t approved for usage on the immediate eye area, from consideration in the combos!
About This Series
Each look idea is centered around a “quad” of four shades with the expectation that one might bring in the appropriate brow bone or additional transitional shade based on skin tone. I know that I tend to use more like five or six shades in a typical look, but I think that four is a happy medium to give a good idea of the “core” color scheme of a look while giving you the ability to lighten/darken as desired. I have listed the colors in this order: inner lid, middle of lid, outer lid/crease, and crease/above crease.
You might see combinations that seem slightly repeated but placement will vary (e.g. a halo placement where the lightest and more shimmery shade is placed on the center) as placement can also create a different effect/look! You might also want to consider incorporating your favorite matte/shimmer shades (as applicable) to increase the versatility of certain palettes. Consider these ideas a jumping off point!

I agree that this palette doesn’t work very well by itself, but I’ve been successful using it in combination with some of the jewel-toned shades from UD Born to Run and Tarte Unleashed. The glitter in Palooza is so big and chunky that it seems more suited for an art project than as makeup. I’d be too afraid to put it anywhere near my eyes.
Thank you for omitting Palooza! I find it somewhat unethical that they’ve included product in this palette that isn’t safe for eyes.
Wow what a beautiful look on you Christine! This makes me think that I could try yellow on myself.
It’s pretty hard to get a lot of variation with this palette without using other palettes to provide contrast. Queen B is my favourite shade.
Yellow is not my thing, but I think these palettes are great for illustrating that monochromatic looks need not be predictable and boring. Good job on the eye look ?
I really like Queen B (in every quad photo above, that’s the one that I’d stop to look at) but the rest of these are just not for me and I really have no use or desire for a palette of 9 shadows that I can’t use on its own. I look at some of the Smashbox 8 pan palettes (Covershot?) and THAT’S the sort of palette I want and can use in a practical sense.
Again, you make it look special! But I will resist easily seeing as ColourPop ends up costly for the product to have in Europe.
