It’s a large warm toned neutral leaning kind of palette, which could work well for those starting out in makeup. I do see that there’s some glitter numbers (disappointing) and a fair few pinky red shades. There are some redundant shades here as well – especially with the darker matte colours.
A couple of the shimmers do look lovely – Vulcanic and Get the Schist.
This reminds me of Huda’s Rose Quartz, which I am wearing right now! So I clearly love the color story…but therefore have no need for it.
Other than those three pesky glitters, I do like this color story a lot. It’s one of their prettiest yet! Not sure if I need it. And, I probably don’t. Also; I would have to consider my super limited storage space.
I really like this! I like that you can avoid the 3 glitters easily without missing out on that shade. (Or for people who like glitter, you can add that pop!) I haven’t gotten a CP mega palette yet, and I think this is finally the one for me. (neutral fair/light skin with dark eyes and dark ashy hair) The packaging is way cute too.
The swatches are really nice but Iโm done with these huge palettes. I donโt need that many dark mattes and 2-3 shimmers are plenty (for me). Pass on the glitter completely ๐ Thanks Christine
You think this is a replacement for Tati’s palette which won’t be made anymore but was made by them? Because that’s what I thought as soon as I saw this!
I have no idea, I didn’t buy that!
A lot of people were making that comparison, saying it reminded them of Tatiโs Textured Neutrals palette, but I didnโt realize the same company made her palette. Thatโs interesting!
Is the Tati palette d/c due to NSF sales or because she became questionable or problematic?
Neither. There are lawsuits with a former business partner.
Funny I thought so too.
I also thought this looked similar to her palette (which I’m glad I didn’t buy in hindsight), but I didn’t know that they shared manufactuers.
And here I thought we were done with the pressed glitters…Ugh.
Again with the glitter. I so wish they’d release palettes without glitter and sell glitters as singles for those who love it. They could do an all glitter palette. Or, everyone could just see that glitters (plastic) are bad for nature.
Agreed. I have a rant against totally disposable stuff in general. (Not that that keeps my bloated stash low.) Make the glitter in a self-contained palette or individually. Same thing goes for the instant dry outs. Not particularly CP, but old Butter London pots. Great colors, but dried immediately. This palette is much warmer in swatches than in the pans. Make up has truly become a first world problem. Too many pretty unnecessary repetitions. Too many choices; itโs like the cereal aisle. But I get why businesses would have to make all the new stuff. Think about so many shades that have 5 CP dupes. Have 1-2 and reuse the shades with the same names, not an infinitesimal tiny tweaks that pretend to be soooo different.
Is Semi-matte a new finish for CP?
I’m not sure which shade you’re referring to! The finishes that I categorize things as are assigned by me, not by a brand!
My first thought when I saw this was yay, because I love neutral shimmers, but then I had second thoughts because I hate Colourpop’s glitters and I don’t really need any more large palettes. I tend to use 2-3 shadows in a single look anyway, too much hooded eye and too little lid space to do anything more complex. Anyway, I’m glad you reviewed this because I compared the colors to Stone Cold Fox and Bare Necessities, as well as a few smaller Colourpop palettes, and there’s nothing here I need.
Is it just me or does this look a lot like the Tati palette that isn’t available from Tati’s brand anymore but people liked and was made by Colourpop’s parent company? Like maybe they’re trying to fill that niche that people liked, or if they loved it so much and wished they had a backup of?
OMG I’m an idiot who didn’t remember she replied about this already ahaahah! Sorry!
