ColourPop Never Taurus Apart Eyeshadow Quad Review & Swatches

Never Taurus Apart
ColourPop Never Taurus Apart Pressed Powder Shadow Quad ($9.00 for 0.21 oz.) includes two shimmer shades (rich gold, lighter gold) and two matte shades (warmer brown, olive green). It was a really fantastic set of shades that were incredibly pigmented with beautiful textures that made it a cinch to apply.

The Good Life
The Good Life is a rich, deeper gold with strong, warm copper undertones and flecks of green-to-gold shifting sparkle over a high-shine, metallic finish. The texture was smooth, almost emollient to the touch, which helped the larger flecks of sparkle bind with the underlying base color and have great, even coverage on my lid. This shade had opaque color coverage that wore well for eight hours before fading a bit.

The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing” and “adheres easily to the eyes.” Most of the shades have semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation that applies well to bare skin, blends out without issue, and lasts for seven to eight hours.
The matte eyeshadows tend to be a little more powdery, though soft and finely-milled, in the pan, while the shimmers have a creamier, dense consistency. Occasionally, the more sparkly or metallic shades apply better with fingertips or a dampened brush.

Rich Rich
Rich Rich is a light, yellowy gold with moderate, warm undertones and a bright, metallic sheen. It had opaque pigmentation in a single layer, which adhered well to bare skin with a smooth, even laydown of color. The texture was soft, lightly emollient to the touch but a little drier/dustier when working with a dry brush. It stayed on nicely for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Like a Bull
Like a Bull is a medium brown with muted, warm undertones and a matte finish. It had an incredibly smooth, velvety texture that was almost cream-like as it was blendable and sat well on my skin, though there was light powderiness to the product. It lasted well for eight and a half hours before fading visibly.

I need you to post a look with this Christine! They’re always so helpful.
There is one in the post – there is a tab called ‘look!’
Can’t believe I didn’t see that – thank you!
I honestly want this just cause of the matte green… also cause it’s my rising and Mars sign!
I guess because Taurus is an earth sign, hence the earthy colors :/
I think this quad is the prettiest in the collection.
I agree with Rachel above, it is the prettiest in the collection, all of which have been really good quality.
I’ll be picking this up for that green. It’s also New York favorite quad in this collection.
Had no idea there was a look tab, I’ve been missing out!
This is the first Colourpop offering to interest me in a couple years. And that’s a lot of releases. Love the matte shades and I’m a gold shimmer/metallic lover.
