Talking Forest
About this Story
A dream color story for an enough-room-for-8-pans magnetic palette: shimmer + matte navy, forest green, an ogre green, a purple/green duochrome, shimmer + matte purple, and an orange.
The color story reflects my newly discovered favorites of the year. I found out dark green and navy complement brown eyes. I’ve been inspired to combine orange, purple, and green the Triochrome palette. (Norvina’s Celestial and orangey Incense is my favorite dupe of the vibes, even if the accuracy is low.) And, towards the end of the year, I clung to Autumnal burgundies and mustards towards the end of the year since perpetually-trapped-inside-2020 felt seasonless.
My looks tend towards 2-3 colors, so I don’t use a lot of variation in tone. Maybe it would benefit from bringing in deeper purples or minty highlights to complete the look. The purples are borrowed from my pre-made palettes to complete the purple-green-orange triad. Other pretty purples include Sydney Grace’s Awake, Sydney Grace’s Saturn, Lethal’s Unity, Lethal’s Release. A beautiful Shrek-y alternative for Recluse is Clionadh’s Bramble.
