Clionadh Perfect Neutrals Bundle Swatches
Clionadh Perfect Neutrals Bundle is a new, limited life (they’ll restock it a few times) collection of seven, pan-only eyeshadows. Each shade was created to be the “perfect neutral” for each member of the brand’s team, and 100% of profits from the sale of the bundle will be donated to True North Aid (which serves northern Indigenous communities in Canada) and The Black Queer Youth Collective (a Toronto-based organization that supports Black LGBTQIA+ youth).
The bundle launched on June 30th and promptly sold out (Clionadh noted that $8,000 CAD will be donated from the initial quantity sold). It is set to restock later in July when the brand restocks the rest of their regular eyeshadow range (circular pans).

I find the pre made bundles tricky because there are always some shades that I wouldn’t use eg the pink shades. But I love the autumn toned ones.
The colors and finishes are great but what about the application? Would you call the application and longevity quite good? Is there fallout?
Hi Maggie,
This a post showing swatches, not a review!
As so often happens, I loved Linnie a LOT–then realized it’s a virtual dupe for Scream (from the UD Metallics palette) and NARS Rigel. Not to mention Anastasia Pink Champagne, NARS Niebla, Hourglass Smoke scattered light… etc. Point being, I have the shade I love so much, many times over!! Always a happy discovery, since I tend to get color-FOMO.
Now THIS sort of initiative – 100% of proceeds going to two very worthy causes – is the sort of thing that warms my heart (contrasted to Sonia G’s recent publicity). I’ve never purchased from this company and I’m not sure if I would (it’s that “sight unseen-ness” again) but I really commend this approach! I’m glad to read it sold out!
And they will restock a few times they said, so more donations to come! 🙂
What about Sonia G? I never know what’s happening, it seems. 🙂
It was just my (and a few others’) reaction to a post just a few earlier than this one about the new Sonia G brush release using language which I found exploitative (suggesting a link between their new brush collection release and the tough 2 years we’ve all been through). It rubbed me the wrong way, especially since it doesn’t seem that the company is doing anything in terms of social or community support (compared with Clionadh).
I read the PR test when I got a promo e-mail from Beautylish, I did think it was a very try hard to touch all our feelings and make us buy brushes to mend our hearts. As if any purchase could.
Even though I am in need of a new brush, that is one new brush, I don’t think I’ll get a Sonia G one. I’m thinking of the Japanese brands, the ones with names I can’t spell.
Test = text. Duh, my typing! 🙂
I call them ‘hodos’ and that sounds wrong, too.
😀
I completely agree! They’ve been on my radar for over a year now but I’ve never purchased from them, and this initiative gives me a lot of respect for them. With the discoveries around residential schools in Canada, and BLM gaining a lot of popular attention last year but not really amounting to very much structural change, it’s nice to see a brand do what they can to support the affected marginalized populations in their own community. It doesn’t feel like just a performative token effort, because they’re donating 100% of proceeds, and because there hasn’t been pressure from the community to do this. I think I might make my first-ever purchase from them when this bundle restocks (especially since I’ve been wanting to fill out my singles collection with some nice neutrals)!
This company needs better swatch photos. I saw this when it first came out but passed on it. Your pocs shows more detail and makes the bundle more appealing. I’ll pick them up during the restock.
These look like my types of colors! Unfortunately, this means that I probably have some dupes. I may still get the set anyway since some of the proceeds go to my fellow Indigenous people whose Nations are in the farther north than my own.
The concept of this collection is lovely, and the shades are as well.
