I think this is more like the ‘matte gloss’ creamy formulas that are coming out. Nothing MATTE or GLOSS about the formulas though.

I was reading this too fast and thought that this was an eye primer! I was judging Clinque for jumping one the “eyegloss” trend. Then I re-read it. LOL
But I do wonder how the high shine aspect is compatible with a lip primer… Usually when I put lipstick over glossy or slick lip balms it just goes everywhere.

Not to be THAT person, but there’s a couple places where the product is listed as a ‘lid’ product instead of a ‘lip’ product. At first I was like, ‘Oh that’s why the shadows are so sheer! You need these!’

It wasn’t computing.. I was looking at the image thinking Wow, those are some super leading edge lid bases for Clinique. Took me a half minute until the proverbial light bulb went on. LOL.. slow day up very late last night nursing twin premmie goat kids.
Dang it! I always get up so late that I miss all the good stuff! Better yet, if I did see this earlier, I probably would still be semi-comatose sipping my coffee, and would have thought precisely what you thought, Wendy!

Love goats. Wee preemie twins? Wow. Hope the nanny is okay and that she can nurse them soon. Goats are so cleverly noncompliant. In college, someone had two goats that were either jumping on top of cars to tear off the aerials, or not letting anyone near the litter of 12, yes 12 German Short Haired Pointers. They loved dogs, but cats not so much. Their baby goat imprinted on the GSP, so was an excellent watch goat. It ran the other way, though, after it caught a ball. Really did think it was a dog, in a very oppositional goat type way. There is nothing cuter than a Pygmy. Those guys were a full size Swiss breed. Good luck with them.
They are still alive, but very weak. I have given them a couple of rounds of colostrum, so it’s just a matter of wait/see. Should know in 2-3 days. Until then, they are in the lap of luxury sitting in a dog crate in our great room directly in front of the fireplace. It’s hell on this farm I tells ya.
Yep goat and dogs: Ours love the goats (the berner, the hound mix, the jack).. all expect the dachshund (Digger). He would rather just kill thankyouverymuch. He’s a wicked fierce hunter and very true to his breed and also extremely competitive when it comes to my affection. He owns my ass. Last night the jack kept getting out of bed to go and check on the babes. She’s OCD like me.
We have milking breed called Alpine (French alps tho..pas de Suisse..giggle) predominately in the herd.
Everyone who has goats have a great car/goat story. Ours involves a porche and a very very pissed off owner. I warned him.

Bonnie: I hope you see this..I had to respond to my own post..the thread will not allow me to reply to your message for some bizarro reason. Unfortunately the answer is not the one I had hoped for 🙁 . I’m not at all surprised; they were very very weak. But yes, I always carry losses with me for awhile and feel defeated. Temporarily. I do bounce back and I’m well acquainted with death; know I can only do so much and the rest is in the hands of mother nature.
Doxie’s are my favourite breed of dog despite all their challenges or maybe because of it. Thanks for your thoughtfulness, Bonnie!

hmm. Clinique (makeup, not skincare) NEVER grabs my attention, but these look really interesting! Maybe I will make a foray into the brand.
Hmmm, these do not appear to be earth shattering or even interesting shades of lipstick. Very standard. Very boring. Clinique was on a roll last year. Seems they lost their momentum. I suppose this is a “wait and see” type of thing.
I agree Nancy…I had high hopes for Clinique after the success of Cheek Pops. Like maybe they would keep bringing us new, exciting, must-have stuff (for once!)! But everything since then has been “meh”.

Christine, you’re too hard on yourself. You do a fabulous job running this informative comprehensive site. Spelling errors and errors in general happen.
That’s not an acceptable error – it caused reader confusion, and it is an unforgivable error, IMO. I wish I had caught it, and I’m so angry with myself for being so blind at things like that.
You could type on a Kindle like me. It randomly changes words without asking. Also doesn’t like cursing, even if infrequent and justified.
Omg. Yes yes yes. I agree 100%!! Compared to the other blog that I used to be aMUSEd with, Christine’s spelling is very close to a genius. LOL! I just couldn’t take the consistent lack of proof-reading.
Cut yourself some slack. You do a *phenomenal* job and we are all truly thankful for everything that you do for us. All in the sake/name of beauty!! Can’t live without it. (On our lids or lips!!)

Ooh, these look like very pretty, wearable shades, will match the cheek pops. When I think of Clinique, I don’t think of edgy, bright colors but that’s ok, because some days you just want a more natural, effortless look. But is it just me, or do these kind of look small, like those mini glosses that you get with GWP or Sephora rewards??
Maybe go go pop will dupe the fuchsia desinvolte one from ysl . I yearn for it but damn it’s expensive
These look like a pass for me. The colors while wearable look like so many other shades already available. Unless the formula turns out to be something crazy amazing I think I’ll save my money.

Only 2 brights?! All the rest look sort of nudey. What a shame, would’ve been nice if they’d had a few more brights.
I’m interested to see how these fair. There are some lovely colors here.
Boy they’re really milking this “Pop” theme for all its worth!! (But don’t all brands do that?) it’s too bad all the different iterations of their Pop products aren’t as good as the first. But, again…I suppose that’s to be expected as well. Sequels and all that.
