China Glaze Just Be-Claws Nail Lacquer ($7.50 for 0.50 fl. oz.) is described as a “red with an aluminum-like mirror finish.” It’s a medium-dark, rich ruby red with subtle, cool undertones and a high-shine, metallic finish. There is a lot of depth to this color–China Glaze really knocked this one out of the park. It was mostly opaque after one coat, but I applied two coats to be sure, and you’ll find there’s a richness to the finish with two. The consistency of the formula wasn’t too thick or too thin, and it spread evenly and without bubbling or pooling along the edges. Cult Nails Annalicious (LE, $12.00) is warmer but similar in the finish. China Glaze Cranberry Splash (LE, $7.50) is very similar, slightly cooler-toned. See comparison swatches.

Put a Bow on It Nail Lacquer ($7.50 for 0.50 fl. oz.) is described as a “magenta glitter.” It’s a sparkling, muted pink-shimmered purple micro-glitter. It has a sandy, sparkly texture, and it dries to a mostly matte finish (the sparkle isn’t totally matte). This shade was mostly opaque after two coats. The consistency was on the thinner side. I don’t have any dupes for this shade, especially because of the finish; the only shade I considered was Zoya Carly (P, $8.00), which is darker and has a totally different finish (they’re not dupes at all).

This is Tree-mendous Nail Lacquer ($7.50 for 0.50 fl. oz.) is described as a “green with fine gold glitter.” It’s a mix of light-medium, yellow-toned green, emerald green, and light gold micro-shimmer and micro-glitter. It has that sandy, sparkly texture that’s mostly matte but still sparkles here and there. The consistency of the formula was thinner and a little watery, and the color payoff was still noticeably sheer after two coats. Ironically, I think it’s too dense, though, to work better as a top coat, as it will cover a lot of the underlying polish, but using a green or gold polish underneath for one coat would help this look more opaque with less coats. The only other green sand-textured shade I have is Zoya Chita (P, $8.00), which is several shades darker and less warm-toned.

I absolute HATE China Glaze formula, it is BY FAR the worst I’ve ever tried. It chips in like 2 hours after painted. It is absurd! What is a shame, cause I love some of the colors. Just gave up insisting upon the brand years ago.

Funny how nail polish wears so incredibly different on people – China Glaze is the best wearing formula on me – 5 days, no chips, a bit of tip wear, through a full work week (I’m a cashier, so absolutely not a glamourous job on the hands).

I have Put a Bow On It and This is Tree-mendous. PABOI chips on me terribly. 🙁 I am waiting for my Zoya Armor to arrive in the mail. I have to do a test run with that top coat. I’m really shocked at how bad the chippage is, since nail polish rarely chips on me.

I bought Tree-mendous, All Wrapped up and the blue topper (I forgot the name!) and now I want Put a Bow on It! I definitely can say these don’t last as long as their other glitters, but I think it’s because they dry matte with that texture and matte just never lasts long. It’s notorious for chipping, but it’s fun while it lasts.

Oh, by the way, on your All Wrapped Up, did you try shaking it hard a few times? I had the same problem you did the first time until I shook it hard once or twice because I noticed the clear base was floating on top of all of that glitter and then I got a chock full of glitter, but I had some thickness issues so I was careful and it was nearly (nearly) a one coater. The clear base floating happens sometimes when there is so much glitter in there and you have to (sadly) shake it up a few good times to mix it all back together.

I haven’t tried This is Tree-mendous yet, only All Wrapped Up and that was definitely something different I noticed compared with their previous glitter or holographic polishes. I was like, “What the hey is this floating on top?” and had to shake it like I was a shaking a snowglobe that has snow stuck to the bottom (yes, I like a full flurry.)

It’s definitely unusual for a China Glaze glitter polish. It’s almost like they need to scoop out some glitter to make the formula even.

I’ll have to see if my Tree-mendous gets thick like my All Wrapped Up or if mine is thin like yours. It’s definitely unusual. I’ve definitely never had this issue with China Glaze before!

In terms of other finishes other than the normal shimmer, cremes and whatnot, I know they’ve done crackle, texture, flakies, true jellies and I do know they have done a matte texture, China Glaze Stone Cold from Capitol Colors. I don’t know if it’s because the glitter is finer or what, but if I remember it was the typical CG formula (I’d have to check my Tumblr post. I have to wait for my computer to fully warm up first, then I’ll check for you.)

HA HA! It can be a blessing depending what you are talking about. I have a huge Achilles heel and it called Human Recognition. I can’t ever put human names to faces. I can always put pet names to their faces, but not humans! I always say you need to bring a pet when you meet me because I will guarantee you I’ll connect your pet to you not you to your pet like most people. Even then it takes me a few times to get it right. I mean, unless your name is Dzenana (I had a friend with that name), you are better off sticking a photo of your pet to your forehead for the most part! The steel trap has leaks.

I bought the China Glaze “Touch of Twinkle” set, which includes Just Be-Claws, Be Merry Be Bright, and Santa Red My List. All were full sizes for the price of one. 🙂 Just Be-Claws is awesome, and Be Merry Be Bright was okayish. I’ve only tried Santa Red My List on my toes so far, but it wore off within days. It has a similar consistency and finish to Just Be-Claws, so I’m sure it would wear much better on fingers. Either way, three for the price of one is a heck of the deal! 🙂

It did! I think it’s just because it’s winter, and wearing close-toed pumps everyday takes a toll on my toesies (I’m in Minnesota, so open-toed is out of the question this time of year). I’ll give it a go on my fingers since I love the shade… a medium/dark pink with the same aluminum sheen that Just Be-Claws has. 🙂
