The colours of Star Aura are more up my street than the other quad but I am very curious about that whole “bigger, wider, brighter looking eyes” claim. I mean, is there something new and magical (or even scientific) that makes this more a reality than with any other eyeshadows? Is it actually a valid claim, I’m curious to learn (and if it is, I’d be interested; if not, I’ll stick to my “I’m not falling for her ongoing hype” position). Also, never having used CT’s Flawless Filter Foundation, does it also function as a concealer (just looking at the doe foot applicator had me thinking it was a concealer…and I’m always on the lookout for a newer, better concealer)
It’s actually not a foundation. I’d call it a liquid illuminator really. Some people use it as a primer. I prefer it either mixed into my foundation for a bit of extra glow, or I just use it as a subtle highlighter. It has a bit of a tint to it, but it doesn’t really offer any significant coverage on its own.
Now that I’ve tried and fallen in love with her eyeshadow formula, I’m feeling a way about Diva Lights quad. It just looks so beautiful and practical.
And I’m also eyeing the 4.5 Flawless Filter as well. It appears to be a tone that would work well on me.
Nancy, what is it about her formula that you love? I’m trying to decide if I buy or just continue with my Sydney Grace shadows which are so much cheaper.
ShariP, ever since buying and using her Bejeweled Palette, I swear there’s some sort of magic or something going on in that formula; it makes my lids appear younger, smoother and no crepeyness to be found. I don’t know what’s in there doing that, but I’ll gladly take it!
I really like the Star Aura quad – those coolish toned taupe shades really do suit me. The Diva quad has some lovely shades in it too – but that matte black spoils it for me.
I have a feeling that my next beauty purchase is on this screen, if Star Aura rates well.
I love the Hollywood Flawless Filter , I use # 5 and use a touch of powder over it .
It seems to just melt into my skin and gives a beautiful finish .
The eyeshadow look interesting .
Wow, she keeps shrinking her palettes. These ones are only 2.8g (4×0.7g) according to Sephora while her usual eyeshadows are 5g (4×1.25g)
Same price but much less product, I hope the quality is really a huge step up.
Thanks for the info.
Star Aura really speaks to me, but I wonder how it compares to Tom Ford Nude Dip which is my all time favorite palette. Would love to see head to head comparison swatches as well as info on how the formulas differ.
