The Gaclier Eye Shade Trio ($70.00) (Limited Edition)

Chantecaille The Glacier Eye Shade Trio fuses fashion with philanthropy, creating a limited-edition collection of shades that reflect the landscape of the arctic with delicate hues that symbolize the ice and earth revealed by the melting of the glacier. Each shade is designed with micronized pigments that boost color pureness and formula adherence while a natural spherical polymer creates an effortless application for a smooth, even finish. The shades can be blended and layered to create a soft, sculpted look. Each arctic-inspired shade is embossed with a melting glacier to represent global warming’s effect on our rising sea levels.

  • Polar Light Delicate light taupe with a matte finish
  • Iceberg Icy white shade with light reflecting gold pearl
  • Arctic Dusk Warm lilac gray

Galactic Lip Shine Healing Lip Gloss ($34.00)

Galactic Lip Shine Healing Lip Gloss is an ultra-conditioning lip gloss and serum hybrid by Chantecaille that combines the revitalizing and moisturizing properties of a balm with the radiance and shine of a gloss. It’s infused with a mélange of healing fruit extracts to smooth, protect and condition lips, leaving them feeling extremely soft. Each shade contains unique polychromatic pearl designed to enhance the natural color of your lips. Wear it alone or layer over a lipstick.

  • Aurora Translucent fuchsia with a hint of violet pearl
  • Polaris Glistening clear gloss loaded with unique polychromatic pearl that enhances lips natural color.

I’d like to know if the company is actually doing anything to help support environmental causes rather than just grabbing images that are trendy mind and heart string pullers, if you know what I mean, but doing nothing for the actual cause itself. I’m guessing the “glaciers” are just a silver over-spray (not my favourite thing in any cosmetic) but would be interested to know if this is the case or not. It goes without saying that I have these three shades in abundance in my eyeshadow collection.

They typically donate 5% for whatever the cause du jour is. And it’s not 5% of the price, it’s 5% of proceeds.

“5% of proceeds from each Glacier Eye Shade Trio sold will be proudly donated to the Extreme Ice Survey, an innovative photography project aimed at educating global citizens about the impact of climate change on the world.”

Samantha Avatar

I’m sorry, but to me, 5% seems kind of low, almost useless. I mean, if you’re selling three eye shadows for $70, you can definitely afford to donate more than 5% to the cause you’re supposedly selling them for.

Want !!! But I am waiting for a positive review and swatches to give me the “go ahead”.There are 2 new lipsticks too but I wish they were the” lip chic type”. I’ll pass on adding more lip gloss to my collection.

I just purchased this palette, yesterday, from Woo Skincare + Cosmetics in Charlotte, NC. I have only owned a handful of things, from Chantecaille, and have yet to be disappointed. This palette is no exception.

The formula is smooth and “buttery”. They do NOT crease. I have only had one other brand of eyeshadows (Cle De Peau) not crease on me, without a primer. They don’t fade; however I have, probably, the fairest complexion on the planet; so everything seems to show up and last on me. lol Actually, I’m not sure how these colors will look on someone with a deeper complexion. It will be interesting to see how Christine looks in them… Beautiful, I bet. 🙂

Wow! So expensive, and yet I’m almost tempted! The shadow colors look gorgeous, and I like the fuchsia gloss as well. Maybe a good thing I don’t live too near a Chantecaille counter…!

The shadow kit looks very blandly neutral, would’ve been nice if they did 1 color in a cool blue or icy blue gray to represent the glacier. The Lip glosses look very pretty and sparkly, kind of Cinderella-like, would’ve been great for the MAC collection!

That price point kills me so it’s a no go for me. But wow are these lovely! So glad to see the cool undertones…probably too cool for me (but great for those who have cool undertones) which will tempt me less.
Gorgeous.

If that shadow palette were just a little bit cheaper I’d pick it up in a heartbeat for how pretty it is to look at alone.
Can’t justify spending $70 on a three-pan palette.

The concept is so clever though.

I am not sure weather to “pass” or “leave” this collection. I have never owned anything by this brand and the price seems crazy! I thought that about Tom Ford too though. I would be interested in reviews.I kinda find the mountain theme tacky for spring personally.

I just saw this while browning the Nordstrom site last night and was thinking “how odd” not in bad way but it’s just..different. I suppose most of Chantecaille’s LE palettes are a little “different”. 🙂 I can’t say I’ve ever been drawn to the brand, though.

While I love the brand I’d rather drop the $70 towards shades from their existing line which are truly underrated. I can go without wearing primer and they will not crease or fade on me. This palette is far too cool for my skintone and I have the UD Naked 2 which is similar in tone.

I’ve only owned 1 eyeshadow palette the diamond trio but i absolutely loved it! they really cover every detail, gorgeous packaging and the product inside is just as amazing. All of their palettes are interesting to look at but i don’t care for all the color combos. Something about that clear gloss is pulling me in. I’m like a little kid show me some sparkle and i have to have it.

I love Chantecaille and have several of their palettes, glosses, lip chics, etc. Their products are not edgy or bold, but I always feel polished and elegant wearing them. The quality is very high. I’m awaiting this palette, due to arrive tomorrow from Barneys. Looking forward to your review!
