For me, it was: Le Metier de Beaute Echo Blush, Make Up For Ever HD Foundation, Burberry Pressed Powder, Le Metier de Beaute Papaya Creme. Super simple!

If I don't have a good handle on how the brand or product performs, then it'll just depend on the return policy. If it's generous, then I'll usually still buy it--if I really wanted it to begin with. ...

How many different products do you regularly use when showering/bathing? Count off! What products do you use?
Only two -- my AM facial cleanser and Philosophy shower gel! I do also use ExfoliKate every 3-4 days, and then I wash my hair with shampoo and conditioner every other day.

It depends on what kind of claims they're making. I do, inherently, put more faith in a brand I've heard about than one I've never heard of, but I think that is true with anything (unknown vs. known) -- but it doesn't convince me to try it.

How do you justify an expensive beauty purchase? Share!
I look at how often I will actually use it -- if I buy something that's pricier but I'll use every day, it's a better move than buying something that's cheaper but I'll use just once or twice.
