Bobbi Brown's Holiday 2008 Night Sky Long-Wear Eye Palette Review and Pictures
Bobbi Brown’s Night Sky Long-Wear Eye Palette ($55.00) is offered as a holiday temptation! This palette includes Rockstar and Ocean long-wear cream shadow as well as Black Ink and Thunder Storm long-wear gel eyeliner. I am a big fan of Bobbi Brown’s long-wear gel eyeliner; I find it’s a bit creamier than most gel liners, but they’re still pigmented enough to give me the darkness I crave.
Rockstar is a silvery shade with a touch of blue undertones, while Ocean is a shimmery midnight blue. Black Ink is pretty much just that – a matte black. Thunder is a dark brownish-gray color. These colors go on just the way they appear, which is great, because I love it when products are true-to-color! I haven’t yet tried out the cream shadows to see how they wear, and I imagine I’ll more likely wear them as liner than as shadows 😉
See close-up photos!
Beautiful blues! 🙂 Thanks Christine
No problem, Susy!
I’m not convinced bout this palette. As far as cream shadows go, my money is still on mac paint pots. I use bb gel liners but honestly, they are easily duped by drugstore brands. And i hate it when that happens.
There’s nothing worse than buying a $$$ product and finding a $ dupe.
Hey, Christine, I saw on someone’s blog about this. It is said that the shadows are very streaky when applied. and it takes a lot of time to blend and layer.
So, I’ll pass. It’s sad cause BB’s palettes often disppoint me after being so hyped and then read reviews. sigh
Oh, no! That sucks. Hmm, makes me sort of want to try for myself.
I have this palette and LOVE it! The Gel liners are pretty amazing in my opinion!
Nice! How about the cream shadows, Liz?
I tried these and they are TERRIBLE. Streaky and awful to blend. Pretty colors, but I totally passed.
Did you try them as liners? I wasn’t sure how well these would work as shadows.
I haven’t used the shadows, just the liners 😉 I did use one of the shadows as a liner which worked out well.
Thanks, Liz 🙂
Bobbi Brown long wear eyeshadow is the best I’ve ever used. Even paint pots smudge on me. These do not. It will be worth your money!!!
I’m glad these work so well for you, Angie!
