Bobbi Brown Party Collection for Holiday 2011
Bobbi Brown Party Collection for Holiday 2011
Bobbi’s NEW Party Collection is inspired by those memories—and by the glitz and glamour of screen sirens like Marilyn Monroe and Lauren Bacall. To get the party started, Bobbi’s iconic Shimmer Brick is now available in silver and gold and embossed for the first time ever with martini glass and shaker—a toast to the 20th anniversary of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics! I recently bought the party eye palette and the cool party eye palette, and the former is pretty disappointing in terms of pigmentation. The cool palette is a solid performer, though.
Bought both eyeshadow quads and they are amazing!! So much sparkle and the colors go on good. I loved them, great investment.
Hmmm. Something about the model, the earrings and the colors screams 80’s to me.
I bought the Party to Go palette and its tiny! Also, the purple on it is nearly black. But it wasnt too expensive so I can’t complain too much.
I cannot stand the main promo pick. It’s like she’s going for a “Heathers” attitude, which is noxious and unflattering.
I agree! It’s a horrible shot, so over-done for Bobbi Brown in particular.
That’s the same model in BB’s spring and fall ads. I don’t know if it’s her or just the makeup looks but all the recent promos all look terrible!! So bad that it definitely has stopped me from checking out the new stuff at their counter.
Im usually a very loyal BB fan, but Ive only purchased 3 items from her holiday and gift collections( because they have been the only things that have interested me)– and I will give them high marks!. They are : the holiday mini brush set, and dual eyeliners in
brown/copper and caviar/gold (my favorite!)
sorry not brown/copper, its–chocolate/ bronze
I actually like the model in this photo haha. I think she looks hot but in a snobby way. 😛
Why have the model’s hair over one of her eyes in a promo photo for makeup? It doesn’t make any sense.
I like the blue eyeshadow but I’m wondering if I would wear this. The last time I wore blue eyeshadow I was twelve 😀
There is another limited-edition eye color compact that you left out. The Black Ruby Sparkle Eye Palette($45). From looking at it one would think its just another sparkling mess fit for the ‘tweens but its quite the opposite. It is finely milled so the sparkle actually comes appears and feels like a shimmer. Pink Rose, Crushed Silver, Black Ruby, and Onyx look fabulous against darker skin tones. I wore Black Ruby yesterday and lined my lid with Bobbi Brown’s gel liner in black. It was a nice contrast.
That’s part of the other holiday collection 🙂
I’m a big fan of bobby brown always have been I can’t wait until my next visit to Nordstrom!
