5 Must-Have Maybelline Products

One of my most enduring favorites is Maybelline’s Full ‘n’ Soft mascara, which is a mascara I’ve always reached for and nearly always have a tube open.  I love the regular as well as waterproof version, and one of the reasons I love it is it really adds length and volume while still looking natural, defined, and lashes feel soft–not crunchy.  I’ve been more impressed with Maybelline’s recent formulas, like the ColorSensational Vivids and their Color Tattoo ranges (even if they don’t quite achieve 24-hour wear).

  1. Maybelline ColorSensational Vivids Lip Color — luminous, intensely pigmented, long-wearing lip color
  2. Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 Hour Eyeshadow — cream eyeshadow in an assortment of shades, like Tough as Taupe, which is great for sculpting the lids
  3. Maybelline Full ‘n’ Soft Mascara — one of my favorite mascaras for natural lashes
  4. Maybelline Color Tattoo Pure Pigments — they might not last the forever-long claim they’re supposed, they
  5. Maybelline ColorSensational Lip Color — even the non-neon line is quite good with classics like Very Cherry!

Oops – meant to add that I also have an eye shadow palette – I think it’s called Caffeine Rush and I think it holds 5 colours – is absolutely outstanding too. I need to remember to use it more often (the problem being that I have just way too many eye shadows!)

I absolutely LOVE the Full N Soft mascara whenever I want a more natural look! & whenever I want my lashes more amped up–I use the Full N Soft for the 1st coat (like a base) & then top it off w/another mascara w/a little more kick 2 it! 🙂

I love Maybelline Color Sensational in #235 Warm Me Up. If I can’t decide what color lipstick to wear I always grab this pink shade. I have a sweater that is a medium yellow and this color looks great when I pair the two together. I hope they never discontinue it.

Great post! Love this idea!! My top 4 would be:
1) color tattoo cream shadows
2) color sensational vivids lipsticks
3) Chai Latte eye shadow quad
4) The Falsies Mascara
… I was going to add in a 5th, but these were the true favorites that came to mind.

I’ve not seen the pigments anywhere here in the UK, and we don’t have as big a range of “Color Tattoo” as you do either, sadly. I love the “Color Tattoo”s we do have, though.

I used to love that mascara, but my lashes are so different now. I rediscovered the lipsticks because I love Party Pink, Bit of Berry, and Let Me Pink so much.

I don’t use a lot of Maybelline products. My go-to drugstore brand is L’oreal and I love Revlon for lip products. Anyway, I do like Line Stiletto, Lash Stiletto, and Falsies black drama. I think the silk plush shadow palettes have a great texture, but I don’t have any anymore.

Full ‘n’ Soft was my favorite mascara for years – until they discontinued it in every color except “very black.” I loved dark brown; was OK with brownish black. Cannot wear black. Still searching for something comparable that comes in brown.

Maybelline Full n’ Soft is THE BEST mascara I’ve ever used!! I am of Asian descent and my lashes are very flimsy and have no natural curl at all. I started using this when it first came out and was promoted by Sarah Michelle Gellar (at least it was in Japan where I was living at the time). I have been hooked ever since and won’t use anything eles! I don’t vouch for any product like I would for this; in fact, I’ve never commented on any beauty product here. I use it every day and I can’t even begin to count how many tubes I’ve purchased over the years. The formula is PERFECT for holding up my lashes after I curl them and make my lashes look full and curly. I’ve used it for so long that even my family and friends think that my lashes are naturally like curly and full. I love this stuff and will never use anything eles<3

If I had to restrict myself to one drugstore brand for a whole month, I would use strictly maybelline. They have my favorite drugstore brow pencil(define a brow) in medium that perfectly suits my nc15 skin and brown hair. Their eyeshadows have always been really good for drugstore(though not best) and are even better when you use their color tatoos as bases. I usually use barely beige, but I love using audacious asphalt as a base to accent sheerish sparkly colors(which their luminous lights collection is perfect for). I also really dig their silk plush eye-shadows. Too Cool(great base to brighten eyeshadow), Bold Gold, and Bad to the Bronze add great depth and dimension to darker and more matte colors. Pomegranate Punch and Tough as Taupe with some black eyeshadow is perfect for a vampy look. I love the overall pretty-wise arrangement of cream eyeshadow, especially considering these are run-of-the-mill drugstore. I also am in love with their gel eyeliner. They have a very black one(also makes great base for Luminous Lights) and they come in two natural colors and an eye-popping purple(literally jumped when I saw it in stores).I also love that it comes with a fantastic brush(drugstore or otherwise) for eyeliner. Another favorite is the automatic one, unstoppable, in onyx. For a long time, it was my blackest eyeliner ever owned and I would even use it for some Halloween eye stuff(meant as a compliment, not an insult!). It does take a few swipes for pigment to show, but it always stays on and on my temperamental waterline(sometimes it wants to be really dry, sometimes it wants to kick-start with allergies… and sometimes i watch really sad movies). It also comes in other natural shades in case I want the “rose out of bed looking gorgeous” look. As for mascara, I loved maybellines since my first mascara(and first piece of makeup) at 13. I still love them, especially with their various wand types. The ones that are my go-to’s are the great lash lots of lashes, the full n soft, the one by one, and the mega plush. I also like the big eyes, the rocket, falsies flared, and all the define-a-lash ones. Maybelline also has one of my favorite drugstore foundations, Super Stay which has amazing coverage and oil control. I also love the the dream liquid and smooth mousse. Those, however, have slight undertone differences from my own warm one in the shade that suits me best. Ivory on the fit me foundation stick actually does fit my skin very well. The coverage is perfect for me and very easy to blend and apply. I also love maybellines primer(primes well for drugstore and i didn’t react negatively to it). I think maybellines dream bb cream is the best bb at the drugstore and I love it for natural, easy faces. Maybelline also happens to have some bomb concealers. The dream lumi is my favorite dupe for ysl’s one(both maybelline and ysl are owned by L’Oreal, and I don’t like L’Oreal Paris’s version as much). It’s a great highlighter and I use radiant for highlighting. I use nude to give my sunken under-eyes a lift without too much color-correcting. Maybellines superstay concealer used to be my holy grail for correcting under-eye darkness and it does a great job at it since it’s so pink-toned and pigmented. The fit me concealer is one I consider to be best for drugstore with it’s natural finish and it’s full coverage. I also love how well light fits me(pun intended). The fit me powder is one of the best ever and I usually use classic ivory. The fit me blush is pretty average but I like how light pink matches my blush color exactly and the intensity isn’t too much or too little for my skin tone. As for lips, maybelline has the colorsensational lipsticks which I think are drugstore perfection. I don’t much like their glosses but the color elixirs look really bright and pigmented and I wouldn’t mind reapplying them like a gloss.Baby lips isn’t perfect but it’s an old cheap thrill of mine and the some of the electros are pretty nice.I love color whisper(also great to double up as blush) since they have just the right amount of pigment for me and many colors are very nice and natural looking on my lips. Maybelline also has one of the only clear lipliners in any market, but especially drugstore. I don’t think their nail polishes are the best but they have just about every color I could ever possible want. In short, I think maybelline is an affordable brand that has a lot of good, workable products.. They even have the expert eyes moisturizing makeup remover which is pretty good and they have an eyelash curler(and refills), false eyelashes, tweezers, and brow/lash comb/brush. The also have an angled liner brush, a blush brush, an eyeshadow brush, and a powder brush. If you had to limit yourself to one drugstore brand, your best bet would be maybelline since they have a little of everything and room to improvise.
