So true!!! 😀

I love those types of pale colors. They always look darker on me than in the palette, and eyeshadow primer darkens them a bit, too. But I already have the Bare Minerals Bare Sensuals palette, which is full of pale-ish shades, so I need to use my willpower on this one.

Gotta admit, this is very pleasing to the eye. Nice job marketing people! And the way the swatches look on the arms — the color-shiftiness of them … this is the first palette in a log time that seriously tempted me.

It’s been exploding since May — they can only delay for so long. Actually, I read an article that said that the current activity is part of an eruptive phase that has been going on for 35 years. I’m not sure what that means, as I’m not familiar with Hawai’i’s volcanoes, but I’m thinking Becca probably just needed to forge ahead.

It’d be nice for Becca to have greater success outside their core competency areas of HL and blush. Their small palettes have not fared terribly well here. It does look well curated and laid out. And the swatches look as if there are some cool leaning shades. We’ll see. I didn’t jump on this the way I did on the UD pencil set today for U21.

I had to pick this up. I absolutely love the Ocean Jewels eye shadow palette that came out this summer. I find myself reaching for it almost daily. Fingers crossed this is as beautiful! I never buy anything without a review first, but I couldn’t resist!!!

Maybe a minority view but I am tired of these essentially warm neutral palettes with one or two pops of color. If I block out the blue, I get something I have seen so many times before. It would add nothing to my makeup wardrobe.

And that is exactly how I feel. The boredom of paging through review after review of stuff that is only minutely distinct from so much other stuff. It’s not the reviewers but the product manufacturers. Walking in lock step and producing the same things over and over.

The only palettes I own are MR, naked1, and a purple bad habit one, so i think this would be really nice for me. Seems mostly cool toned. But I could see why some people would skip it.

The pictures of the palette didn’t interest me much but the swatches themselves look very nice. If Agate Ash was released as a single I would probably have to have it (here’s hoping the dupes come through!).

I thought from the sneak peak at the packaging that this would be something colorful and different. But alas it’s another neutral palette with a pop of blue. Too bad since I’m platinum and have some money points but it’s just not unique enough for me to buy. I have all these colors already.
