Becca — The Stealthy Shangtung

Becca Shantung Eyeshadow ($24.00 for 0.03 oz.) is a beautiful warmed-up molten brown with bronze shimmer and golden sheen. It has subtle red undertones, and it’s such a gorgeous bronze shade. The texture is smooth, soft, and almost buttery, but without any powderiness. It almost feels like it melts onto the skin (but it’s not a cream, it is a powder).

What a great first shadow for me to try from Becca! However, the higher price point accompanied by the below average quantity has me a bit jarred. Really, 0.03 oz.? Most high-end brands at similar price points put at least 0.05 oz., which is nearly double.

RECOMMENDATION: For a beautiful bronze, Becca’s Shangtung doesn’t disappoint in color, quality, or pay off. Just in value.

They look like little UFO’s… 😀

I don’t have any Becca e/s but I do have some loose shimmer powders that are GORGEOUS.

Ah! Now I see them! 🙂 When I opened it up the first time they did not show up.
gorgeous colours. Thanks Christine. I love seeing it on your skin because colours could look so different in the containers.

Very pretty! Looks like a sister to UD’s Smog, though, so I think I’ll pass since I already have Smog (which is amazing).

Just came in here to say I love the packaging and if it were a little less pricey i’d buy out the line, haha. This looks gorgeous, looking forward to more swatches of these shadows.

oooooh! drooooollll! Korres Golden Brown 34S looks a little similar and has a very soft texture as well. Maybe less red. But one could get the whole Golden Goddess kit for only $30 instead if this for $24.
This is still stunning tho – stop tempting me!

Christine,
The Becca line is amazing! For value I suggest one of their palettes. The Best of Becca or Avalon are really good basics. They usually run $60-65 but you get 2 e/s, a cream blush and a highlighter (Avalon). I got mine at Dermstore with a 15% off code so it was only $50. Hautelook often has Becca at rock bottom prices and the cream blushes are amazing!

SO glad to see some Becca on here Christine! I bought Becca Lame eyeshadow years ago. Love that color. And even though the packaging looks small, it lasts a long time!

I can’t wait to try Shantung! I already have Lurex 🙂

Looks lovely! I came across this e/s on beautybay for 6.20eur!!! So I have to buy it now, it’s a steal at that price! Even though I’ve so many e/s from mac and ud that are very similar (woodwinked, bronze, tempting, smog, toasted!).. oh well the packaging justifies it hehe 🙂
