Sometimes, it’s just having beautiful skin, so a really good foundation + setting powder + finishing powder = happy camper. Other times, a bold, bright glossy red lip!

I love Coco by Chanel, Ambre Narguile by Hermes and Mon Precieux Nectar by Guerlain. I will be getting Si by Armani when that comes out around here, and I love the sample websites where I can try new fragrances that I would most likely never know existed. Right now, I’m wearing Hedonist by Viktoria Minya, and I love it. 🙂

Nothing, really. I don’t exactly rely on beauty products for confidence. The same goes for clothing and anything with a physical form, for that matter.

These days, it’s definitely a matte strawberry lipstick because I think it breathes some life into my face; I’m practically addicted to Sephora’s cream lip stain in strawberry kissed, and I’ve also managed to dupe Revlon’s Strawberry Suede to my satisfaction (huge relief because the last tube I bought online seems to be one second from expiring and has lost its consistency). But as soon as the weather gets colder, I’m pretty sure I’ll be back to relying on Mac’s Russian Red or Dubonnet for my confidence boosts.

I fill in my lips with Mac Process Magenta liner (I think any cool-toned, bright fuschia liner would work) and then put on Nyx matte lipstick in Indie Flick. I then blot it down some to make it a bit less bright (the Nyx lipstick is a screamingly neon orange-red, and I stumbled across this dupe while trying to find a way to wear it without it looking weird on me). I’m super-pale (Nars Siberia or Urban Decay 0.5) and cool-toned and on me, this dupe has stood up to a side-by-side on the lips comparison 🙂

I am most confident with cut, sculpted cheekbones. Makes me feel like Linda Evangalista or Stephanie Seymour or some other 80’s supermodel Amazon. So I get bronzer/sculpting powder gets my vote.

Any sort of bold lip! When I was in university, I wore a bold lip for every exam or essay…kept me from biting my nails off and left me feeling absolutely unstoppable!

The perfect blush really perks me up, even if I’m not wearing any other makeup…and takes years off better than anything else.

Concealer–if we’re going with just ONE beauty product. I immediately love how my spots and dark circles disappear–the effect is immediate: I LOOK and FEEL awake and all perked-up.

Foundation for me, since my main insecurity is uneven skin tone. Don’t really leave the house with bear skin. Mascara is also a big confidence booster, but I already have long/full lashes. I admit I even wear some mineral powder to the gym >_< ! Tarte's amazonian clay full coverage powder! Looks very natural and has good staying power. I only wear that to the gym though, not a big fan of mineral foundation generally but for the gym it makes more sense with sweating and all.

For me, it is definitely the flawless skin. No matter what else I am wearing, if my skin looks good, I feel good. I can’t leave the house without some kind of eyeliner and a lip gloss at the very least, but as long as the skin looks good I feel invincible. I guess that is why I am trying so hard to find the perfect foundation that gives me the flawless look I am after!
