Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

No, Tarte doesn’t even exist here! It’s so f-ing annoying, ’cause I’m soo in love with their stain in “Tipsy”, yet I never get to try it out. Well, I tried it out when I was in Santa Barbara last spring, but got completely side tracked and forgot to buy it 🙁

Ooh, thanks for the heads up! I _love_ Tarte’s “smooth operator” foundation and picked up some of that along with some lip goodies. I was hoping to get their new lash stain too but it’s out of stock 🙁

I have, in mini form at least, and I like it pretty well. Generally I do prefer liquid or gel blushes to powders (particularly if I’m using a liquid foundation, I feel like they give me that “dewey glow”). Tarte’s gel is pretty thick, which gives you time to blend it, which is nice, but I feel like I also have to work it around and in quite a lot to make sure I don’t have any splotchyness.

Blush-wise I’ve become a quick, if guilty (because of the price), devotee of Benefit’s newish Posientint, I love love love the natural-looking flush it gives my pale skin.

I just tried the Smooth Operator at Sephora! Perfect timing. I’m grabbing that, the Peaches & Cream foundation (I’ve heard good things, and for $20 I’ll try it), and the lip gloss set. My wallet is both happy and sad.

About Tarte Cheek stains – They are great!!! but my recommendation is that if you are going to use them – purchase the mini version because they work much easier – They twist up unlike the normal version which is pushed up from the bottom and can sometimes get messy because you have to push them back down manually which is a pain and can ruin the product…
