At Home with Beauty: Sleep Pillow Mist in Lavender Chamomile
At Home with Beauty: Sleep Pillow Mist
Bath & Body Works’ Sleep Pillow Mist in Lavender Chamomile ($10.00) is an easy way to add a little more relaxation to the end of your day. Whether it’s the blend of lavender and chamomile or just the simple act of taking thirty seconds to consciously take a few deep breaths and relax… it does have a calming effect.
It’s a quick-drying lightly scented product that you just spritz as you please. I personally would spritz two or three times on the edge of my sheets (areas where my face wouldn’t touch), which was enough for the scent to reach my nose, but not overwhelming. The scent is light enough that you could definitely spray it on your pillow (for those with less sensitive/acne-prone skin), though. It doesn’t stain or leave any residue behind once it dries. The scent fades by morning, so you will need to reapply regularly.
If you really want a relaxing experience, I highly recommend doubling-up and lotioning up from head to toe with matching body lotion ($13.00). The scent may certainly relax you, but so will the act of massaging the body lotion into your skin before you slip between the sheets. One of my favorite features of B&BW products is that if you like a scent or find one that really works for you… you can often find it in just about every other body care product you’d need. Matching made easy!

Recommendation: If you don’t always fall asleep once your head hits the pillow, you might want to try adding some lavender to your nightly ritual!

I love their pillow mist, but I prefer the Lavender Vanilla scent.
I just got that one… will have to see how they compare!
Mmmmmmm I love the sleep collection. They used to make a fantastic Vanilla chamomile pillow mist, which was my favorite. It smelled really soft and almost like cake, haha! BUT They discontinued it and I’m not too partial to overwhelming lavender scents. Now I have the Warm Milk and Honey lotion and the Black Chamomile body wash. These sleep scents ROCK.
Ohh, that does sound nice!
Will have to check out the Warm Milk & Honey scent!
I just sent them at Bath & Body an email begging them to bring Vanilla Chamomile back, if they get enough response they may.. I LOVE it.. I could just use it as perfume
Sounds like it smells good but I doubt it helps people relaax or sleep. Penn and Teller proved that this sort of stuff is BS so no thanks.
Penn and Teller are wrong. lol It does help.
Essential oils have been used for centuries for various reasons. I have Insomnia and it does help. What really helps is the lotion on your hands and on the back of your neck. The scent lasts longer on your hands and neck.
The pillow mist is just the icing on the cake.
Thanks for the tip! I love putting a little (though not the pillow mist, lol!) lavender scented lotion on my neck and hands!
Whether the scent itself does it or not, I definitely feel they help me 🙂 Sometimes it’s just about taking the time to enjoy/relax.
If it smells as good as it sounds i imagine its a nice pleasant scent that even if it doesn’t help with relaxation its still got to be a nice thing while your drifting off to sleep.
Agreed 🙂 I just love inhaling it! Maybe it just helps me breathe better, haha.
Specially the Warm Milk and Honey collection…makes me sleep like a baby.
I REALLY hope BBW bring this scent back for the holidays.
Gonna have to try that one!!
This is so wonderful! I just love the smell, it really calms me down and helps me sleep.
