Probably just buying Easy Lounger. I loved how it looks on your swatches over bare lips, and I think it’ll be pretty awesome when layered, too.

I was shopping with my aunt who had the MAC Pro card with 30% discount last Wednesday so of course I had to take the chance to buy stuff. The MUA helping us was actually the manager. So when I asked to hold some items for the collection she actually offered to take out the displayer and sell it to us!!!
And I still might go back for more (Firecracker e/s and Lazy Day l/s)!
I’m so excited because the collection comes out on my birthday! I will definitely be indulging 🙂
I’m just going to get the Float On By eyeliner, I don’t need anymore than that 🙂
I want to get Thrills & Fun Bathing lipstick. Hopefully tomorrow I can drop by Nordstrom during lunch and pick them up 🙂
Yeah the collection came out 2wks ago where i live and i got lazy day lipstick and splashing lipglass and i want to go back to get marine life high light powder hipness blush and refined golden bronzer 🙂
Yes I already have! I went to a preview party and bought Hipness blush, Flurry of Fun lipglass; and Marine Life Highlight Powder. I am very tempted to buy another Marine Life powder. One to keep and one to use.
it’s only a repromote but i’m loving the lustre drops! and i finally used the marine highlight yesterday which i love and i am glad the overspray is gone because the glitters don’t look so pretty on my face 🙁 i didn’t pick up much from that collection!x
Not yet, but will be soon. Unfortunately I live in a state with no MAC stores, so no preview parties for me. I have the Marine Life on hold at my MAC counter and plan to pick up Sweet and Punchy, Firecracker, Thrills, and Funbathing. If I didn’t already have Hipness blush from Fafi (with plenty left) I would probably purchase that too. I am still not sure about the lipglasses, they don’t seem all that special.

It’s actually not a collection that I’m horribly interested in myself – But I am planning a BIG contest on my YouTube page so I thought I’d snag some of it for giveaways (I think it will be a popular collection, just not one I would normally swarm towards). Christine – I was actually thinking of going off your “Must Haves” and “Nice to Haves” list for this collection and purchasing those for giveaways 🙂

I got Marine Life (sooo pretty!) and a lip pencil in Temperature Rising! Finally a lip pencil that’s a reasonable match to YSL Rouge Volupté #14!

Well, I live in Brazil, so, every thing is really expensive! I like the lip pencils, the Brush 130 Short Duo Fibre, Lustre Drops and High-Light Powder! I really wanna participate of the sortition, but, I’m not from USA :/

To my surprise, To the Beach collection was already available in Ghent (Belgium)on saturday! I’d thought that the release was 27th of May in the US, so I was quite confused, but happy. My guy bought me Hipness for my birthday =)
Definitely! Thinking of getting sweet & punchy, firecracker, marine life, float on by, hipness….or any other combination of those. Given that majority of the collection is permanent, I can wait to get those…just my opinion 🙂 can’t wait for thursday…

Yes! I’m definitely getting Marine Life (if it doesn’t sell out first!) and Thrills lipstick. Most likely Fun Bathing also. The Lustre drops are temtping me, but I need to swatch them first. I already have Smashbox illuminating lotion, so if it’s similiar, I’ll skip it.

Nope. I’m getting ready to move into a new apartment and so I need to save money.
Just two lipsticks in Fun-Bathing and Thrills and an eyeshadow in Sweet & Punchy only because I know we’re gonna be out of stock for those very quick…. everything else was decent to me… I’m a MAC head and I work at a MAC store so I weave through collections carefully. I think that if you’re just getting started with MAC that this will be a lovely collection to indulge in… otherwise spend wisely! A few items are permanents and repromotes that I already have. Plus we gets the “leftovers” for free so I’m not spending money on the extra stuff. LOL
I went and pre-ordered at Nordstrom’s on Friday. I got Marine Life (they had very few left to reserve), Firecraker & Sun & Sand Shadows, Lustre drops in the lighter shade, Thrills l/s, and an orangey gloss I can’t remember the name of. Am not looking forward to the bill when they finally charge it all to my card!
I’m planning on getting Thrills l/s, Flurry of Fun l/g, and Hipness blush.
I’m fairly sure I will not be able to NOT find something I like…need to read about the Marine Life highlighter again, to see if its a good color for me.
Christine, how’s the quality of the Beach Tote? I so want it based on the pics I’ve seen on other sites. Is it worth it?
I think it’s fab quality, TBH. It’s not exactly a high-end leather bag or anything — it’s a 100% cotton canvas tote bag. The canvas is quite thick (not at all thin or wimpy), which makes the bag a little heavier, but it’s sturdy. Given that it’s huge and designed to truck to the beach and back, I like the sturdiness and thickness of the canvas. I also think it was nice that they put handle-wraps around the rope handles to make it easier to lug. I’m not normally impressed by MAC’s accessories (not their brush bags – more like these non-traditional accessories like clutches), but I really liked this one.
Of course I am, I just love the Marine life highlither as well as temperature rising lip pencil. Those are the ones I must have but I am also getting sweet and punchy eyeshadow

Heck yes! I already spent $350+ on the collection. What an expensive obsession! I am glad that boyfriend is obsessed with muscle cars, so he understands the cost of having an expensive obsession 😛

definitely, judging from your swatches i am picking up 2 lazy days, 2 splashing lipglass and 1 lifes a breeze lipliner :). i want to pick up an eyeshadow just for the packaging but the colors dont really call to me :(.
I know I’m in the minority here, but this collection is a big FAIL for me; there’s not one item that I want. It was the same with Pret-a-Papier. I generally dislike spring/summer collections, I’m a fall/winter gal. At least this way I won’t be broke when the Feline & Disney collections come out, and the new Rouge Allure stuff 😀
Of Course..I went to the launch party in Seattle.And I only picked up one thing-Lazy day(lustre). I wanna go back and get Refined Golden.

Lippies don’t call to me (expect for Lazy Days but I don’t think it’d really show up on my lips).
Lipglosses are okay, they don’t really call to me (with the exception of Splashing but then again I don’t think I’d pull it off).
I’ll need to swatch Float on By but I really think it’s gorgeous. 😀
So… maybe 4 things.
But for now, definitely two.
I picked up a few things: the Life’s A Breeze liner, Pink Rebel Lustre Drops and Golden Bronzer (which I ruined by dropping on the floor this morning so will need to buy a new one) Thanks for the awesome reviews…the ‘sneak peek’ event was so busy that it was nice to go in prepared!

No not really, I ordered both Lustre Drops and Beachbound l/s. I have 2 of the 5 shadows already and I think my makeup collection has reached the point where I have a look-a-like of most of the other things.
Hipness blush or Marine Life Highlight Powder (whichever I like best), Thrills lipstick & perhaps the 130 brush.
Unfortunately I have to give this collection a pass. I just lost my main job, and can’t afford it.
I’m getting all the eyeshadows, Lazy Days lipstick, Float My Boat kohl pencil, maybe Hipness blush.
