Are there products you only use during the fall?

Not exclusively, no! I definitely get the urge to wear darker shades on the lips during fall, but I think the seasons have more of an impact on my skin and what products I use there.

Not exclusively, but for makeup, I usually save the vampier colors (dark purples and dark browns) for fall/winter. For skincare, I switch to heavier creams/sunscreens, hydrating cleansers, and more facial oils, but it depends on my skin

Color wise? Only in that I definitely do *tend* to wear my darker, deeper shades during cooler weather. But it’s not a hard and fast rule that I stick by! I tend to pick my clothing and makeup shades according to mood, not season.
Skincare and foundation wise, I do, though. During the extreme AZ heat, I don’t usually wear foundation. Instead opting for a BB cream, and using standard foundation from around mid October into mid May. Also give my skin more attention during winter, too.

Yes. I have very oily skin, but in the cold months, my skin gets a little dry; specifically, in certain spots. I require a more moisture, despite having an unpredictable oily face, so I tend to save and mostly wear liquid or cream foundations during this time of year. That’s about it. Everything else is seasonal fair game.

not exclusively! but same as you i’d love to wear a vampy lip! and eyeshadows with the vibe of mac cranberry and also subtle gold tones. i love fall makeup trends! even though where i live we doesn’t have fall hah!

Agreed with you! I love wearing darker shades. My makeup changes according to my unpredictable skin. Right now it is so dry that I need to get a new foundation! Do you have any drugstore recommendation Christine? Thanks! xx

I’ve been using more plum and berry lipsticks more than usual during the fall. I also had made my brows a little darker, and I also use more of gold and bronze with my eyes.

I keep things wearable during the day and not too glam because I’m that kind of girl to do that.

Hmm . . .I guess so, I don’t think it’s intentional, but I do go for the darker colors and smokier looks in colder weather. It’s like what Christine said, too – I have to use certain products depending on the weather.

I love breaking out my dark matte lipsticks (KVD Vampira, Exorcism) and my dark eyeshadows (MAC Deep Dampson, Cranberry.) I have fair skin, and in the fall/winter I am at my fairest here in Michigan- so I don’t often wear these very dark colors, but I do have a decent collection of vampy shades.

This actually occurred this morning for me! My skin is most definitely combination as I have dry spots on my face but it still gets super oily throughout the day. What I do when seasons are cold vs. hot is alternate between 2 different foundations. During warmer months where I tend to get oily faster, I use Chanel’s Perfection Lumiere Velvet. And now that it’s much cooler I use Chanel’s Vitalumiere Aqua. Between those two, I am in perfect foundation heaven for daily/work use!

I wouldn’t say that my makeup changes at all. My everyday makeup for work doesn’t change and my weekend makeup varies wildly- I’m as likely to go for deep burgundy lips as I am bright coral lips regardless of the time of year! I’ll do more red lips around Christmas time but that’s about it. 😛

Not really – but I find I do tend to “love” my neutrals a little more as I wear the autumn shades. Lots more forest greens and golds. Certainly I wear more berry coloured lipsticks. As for skincare, I follow the same routine as our homes and places aren’t as overly heated as some in winter. It’s summer in Australia that you really need to take care of skin – sunscreen and light moisturizers.

I definitely wear different moisturizes in colder months. I also tend to save my deeper/darker lipsticks and eyeshadows for autumn and winter. Then there’s glittery makeup (normally avoided — with a few exceptions) which I’ll wear from the end of November until January first.

There’s is nothing that I exclusively wear in the fall… but there are products I might wear a lot more often in the fall.
-anything that has a really spicy or oriental scent or scent of a typically fall fruit (cinnamon, ripe apple, pear, red grapes, cooking spices, baked goods etc.) – perfume, body care etc.
-dark and terracotta and warmer brown lipsticks
-red, burgundy, terracotta, brick red, deep jeweltone eyeshadows
-darker nail polish

When the temps cool off I love to use my darker, vampier lip and nail colors. I also tend to slather on thicker body creams and lotions to banish the fall/winter ash and add extra layers of face oils to help lock in moisture on my face.
