Anastasia x Alyssa Edwards Eyeshadow Palette for Summer 2019

Anastasia x Alyssa Edwards Eyeshadow Palette for Summer 2019
I am so happy there’s a shade called Back Rolls. I would have flipped if there wasn’t.
But this palette will be MINE because of Alyssa Edwards alone. I don’t really care for ABH’s formula, but Alyssa is one of my favorite queens and I want this desperately.
Oooo…this is so pretty! Can’t wait to see swatches!
Beautiful color selection, and I love the hot pink packaging. Here’s hoping the quality is as good as usual. I’m not familiar with Alyssa (I’m way behind with Drag Race), but her eye look in the promo shot is utterly amazing!
If you’re into drag queens at all, you should definitely check her out! She’s the quintessential balance of “pageant queen” & “comedy queen”. Her background is primarily the pageant circuit, but she has the wit & humor to back it up.
She sounds awesome! I’ll definitely look her up. Thank you for the info.
I wish they stop putting in the dam* double ended brush in their palettes. Even urban decay has moved on from those. At this point everyone and their mother shouldโve already owned decent eye brushes if they know about ABH. The brushes included are wasteful and just give them excuse to hike up the price! The blender side is so scratchy and doesnโt even work well with their formula!
I actually really like the ABH brushes, and keep at least one in my “on-the-go” bag… I don’t find them to be a “waste”, at all; for those who don’t like them, they can toss them, but at least both camps have the choice…
I also like the ABH brushes (and some of the UD ones were quite good also). I find having them can be useful and it’s also a good spot to store 2 smaller pencil liners (or even 3, if they’re sharpened way down to nubbins) when I travel.
Hhmm not sure how I feel about this palette. Will absolutely be waiting for a review from you before even considering this palette. I feel it would be a fun palette to have if you’re wanting a pop of color, but I fear the color payoff will be meh and this palette upon first look doesn’t make me want to buy it as it’s nothing unique and somewhat bland looking especially since it’s designed after a drag queen. But I could be completely wrong and love it. Still waiting on the Queen of reviews verdict though lol.
I understand the background and the colourscheme for this theme. But that makes me wondering about Riviera. That should have been more nautical and ocean but it is as colourful as this dragpalette.
I find the hot pink grid around the shades distracting. I wish that part would have been a more neutral colour. Other than that I might pick this up. I enjoy Modern Renaissance but Soft Glam fades and turns lacklustre on my eyes, I gave it away. I hope this is more like MR.
Exactly! It takes away the power from the actual shades. No shade.
Iโm really lousy with the pressed pigment formula as evidenced by my lack of use of the Riviera palette which is sitting unloved in my eyeshadow palette drawer. I feel so guilty because I wanted to love it, but I donโt. I just picked up more Sydney Grace. Theyโre speak to me at my speed.. so easy to use. Itโs an attractive palette.. I love the Dream it, BBDC, Believe and especially Unicorn Tribe. I would take a chance on a cheaper quad. The other shades are not doing it for me.
Oh I really hope the quality of this is good. These colors are fun and not something I personally have a ton of. They seem to have a fun little twist on more typical colors.
Looks like Prism and Riviera had a little drag baby! ๐
Not so much for every day looks but for the editorial lovers, for sure.
Awhaha, a little drag baby. Just a palette with hair. Lots of hair.
Oh my goodness. I LOVE Alyssa Edwards and Anastasia palettes … but I am never a colorful eyeshadow wearing person!! This is a dilemma.
I’m in the exact same predicament, LOL! I skipped Riviera, simply because I don’t do colorful looks often, but it’s Alyssa Edwards! Of all the RPDR alumni, she’s in my “Top 5″…
Makes me want to dive in, but I must stick with my no buy.
I adore Alyssa Edwards (just saw her live 2 weeks ago). I’ll wait for the reviews though as I have enough eyeshadow palettes for my future grandchildren!
Not my style but hats off to someone that can use this.
“Back rolls?!!”
I love Alyssa Edwards, LOL!
I am not really liking this palette, very few of the shades are the sorts of colours that I would wear and the pink background of the palette would annoy me.
Definitely a palette for editorial looks. Not for me though, as I would make very little use of it. It would be a total waste on me, but I’m happy that so many others love these fun and bright colors ๐
Here is hoping the quality is BOMB, then I will buy!
Finally an ABH PALETTE I donโt need to buy thank god.
This isn’t a judgment but a simple statement of fact – an eyeshadow palette developed by/designed for a drag queen isn’t for me, a “senior citizen” (geez, that sounds dreadful) working in a fairly conservative environment and who favours more neutral type looks. Just not for me at all.
The cosmetic market is filled with neutral palettes for your picking. Bring on more color and creativity like this!
I really feel like the palette should have kept with the black background to the colors so the eyeshadows were center stage. Itโs just too much for me, but I know some will love it!
