Look - Pink & Purple Eyes (Only)

This isn’t a full look — just the eyes. I was testing out some settings and lenses with my camera, so I threw this on really quickly to get an idea of how colors and makeup were going to show up 🙂

What’s everyone got going on for the weekend? Me, I’m spending it working on our Top Secret Temptalia Project 😉

You will need the following…

  • Eyes: Soft Ochre paint pot (neutral beige base), Pink Opal pigment (white-pink), Lotusland eyeshadow (light purple), Stars ‘n Rockets eyeshadow (fuchsia-purple), Sketch eyeshadow (burgundy), Rite of Spring eyeshdaow (white-pink), Urban Decay Ransom 24/7 Liner (purple), Plushlash mascara (black)
  • Brushes: 266 (firm, angled brush), 226 (fluffy crease brush), 219 (pointed crease brush), 214 (smudge brush), 249 (flat, firm brush), 239 (fluffy shadow brush)
  • Substitutes: Lotusland = Parfait Amour + Digit; Rite of Spring = Pink Opal

Directions: Define brows using a coordinating powder shadow applied with the 266 brush. Apply Soft Ochre paint pot all over the lid as the base with the 249. With the 239, apply Pink Opal pigment with water-based mixing medium on the lower lid. On the inner lid, pack Lotusland eyeshadow on using the 239. Apply Stars ‘n Rockets eyeshadow to the middle and outer portions of the lid. Darken crease with Stars ‘n Rockets eyeshadow using the 226, then deepen with Sketch eyeshadow with the 219. Sweep Rite of Spring eyeshadow underneath the brow bone to highlight. Finish with Urban Decay Ransom Liner on lower lash line, and Plushlash mascara on lashes.

well, it was swish e/s on all of the lid, sketch in the crease to give definition and a touch of pink freeze on the browbone to highlight. Pretty basic, but I was in a rush LOL

Love the colours you used!! Again, I’m totally loving how you’ve been doing your crease lately! Gotta get practicing 🙂

He he, you’ve got such a sexy eye on the third picture!
Pink/Purple is really flatering on your eye color and eyebrow color. My eyes are grey/green, I’ve seen everywhere that pink/violet was a good deal for green eyes but I don’t feel at ease wearing such a color. Yet, it’s really lovely. What did you wear on the lips?

Just something you threw on. Pfffft. I think you could do makeup in the dark, in your sleep & still look perfect! Love the color combo. These newer pictures make the green in your eyes stand out more. I always thought your eyes were more brown.

Very pretty combo! Top Secret huh, i cant wait!
I spent my day at the eyedoctor, i was in desperate need of new contacts, i ran out and was using glasses which ofcourse limits the eotd looks i can wear. then i took my little one to see “UP” in 3D it was such a cool movie. then we went to sephora where she was very happy shopping with me, picked up some UD 24/7, and liquid liners my 1st UD liners.im so excited 2 try them out

Hi! How exactly do glasses limit EOTD looks? :-s I’m about to wear glasses for the first time and I’m scared I’ll look funny with non-neutral eye makeup with them. 🙂

DevilishDoll Avatar

Not at all. I wear glasses and I do all kinds of crazy looks with pink, purple, green, blue, orange, etc. Almost any color I can get my hands on. I hardly ever wear neutral makeup.

Nathalie Avatar

No limits! Don’t worry Iliana. I’m wearing glasses (for now those are bold black glasses) and I’ve never had a problem with make up. I’m wearing bold make up (smokey with a touch of bright colour) most of the time and it’s very compatible, not “too much” at all. The key thing to me is to get the glasses like a part of your look (easy to say, I wear glasses since I’m 12!). And like DevilishDoll, I rarely wear neutrals. I do for sure, but almost never. 🙂

this was such a moral booster for me. I feel i can’t do much wth my eye coz i wear glasses..i wish i cud get to see some tutorials or pictures wth eye make up and glasses on…:)

i find the only limitation is my vision….it’s a struggle to get the eyeshadows on and well blended….but then, without my glasses/lenses, i’m probably legally blind!

Christine Avatar

Thanks, Evelyn! Yep, totally underwraps over here at Temptalia HQ 😉

Oh no! I wear glasses when I’m in class and driving, and I loathe the day I am told to wear them all the time. Even though I feel like I should wear them more often, my doc said not yet, so I’ll go with it!

I’m happy to hear you liked UP, too… I love Pixar and am hoping it is a good movie!

Congrats on the new 24/7 liners!

Christine, I think whatever you did with the new lens/setting is working great!! I see a lot more depth and vibrancy in the colors in this photo. Keep up the inspirations!! ps…my eyes are almost the same colors/pattern as yours so thanks for the idea of more pinks/purples!! 😉
