Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Definitely use some false eyelashes!! Not the drag queen kinds you find at theatrical costume stores…Just your local CVS or Walgreens lashes should be fine. Buy an adhesive that dries dark so it won’t mess up your eyeliner and actually gives the appearance of a thicker lashline. I’ve turned so many people on to these that sometimes people hunt me down just so I can apply their lashes for them!

Most if not all drug store type stores will have both the clear and the dark together with the lash selection. A bottle/tube is like 5-6$. However, the dark is much harder to work with than the clear…in my humble opinion BUT I am a mess when it comes to false lashes.

lip balm, gloss or lipstick. nothing ruins perfect make up more than chapped lips from the cold weather

and glitter is always pretty this time of year

Its not a “make-up” tip BUT putting a humidifier into your bedroom during the winter months is a great way to look fresh faced and hydrated when everyone else is dry and chapped. Just pick one up at any drug store, get a cheap one, no reason to splurge….its just like the kind your parents busted out when you had a cold as a child. If you are a thrifter, they always have them at Goodwill for dirt cheap. Turn it on before you go to bed, close your bedroom door to keep the moisture in and just turn it back off in the morning. If you can find Linen Water, which is a product that is used on laundry for ironing (I buy mine at Bed, Bath and Beyond) add a 1/4 cup or so to the full water tank and you will be lulled to sleep by a faint lovely scent. The linen water doesn’t help the skin but it smells nice. Be sure not to get scented oils directly since they will clog the machine and ruin it.

Curl your lashes and tightline to look wide awake even when you are not 😉

Carry a lipstick/gloss, blush, blotting powder and some q-tips in your bag at all times, especially if you have run from one party to another.

Make sure you wear the right foundation if you are going to appear in photographs – SPF tends to make skin whitish on some people!

Keep it simple with some sparkle for holiday flare! I love all the loose powders that are showing up this season. Check out MAC’s new Of Beauty collection or my wish list item – Laura Mercier’s Diamond Collection mineral powder. 😀

i think the most important part of it is a good technique.it’s all about practice,do a look every morning if You have time and see how Your tecvhnique improves. i can tell from miles away, that someone takes care of her makeup and look or she just wants to look good for one evening.
