What beauty brands do you keep up with? Even if you don’t necessarily buy from them?

.

As many as I can! I do tend to lean towards high end, though 😉

Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

I keep up with Mac–which is really the brand I buy, Urban Decay, Opi, Essie, and Zoya. I do receive emails from Origins, Lancome, Coastal Scents, and Estee Lauder, but, rarely if ever buy from them.

I wouldn’t really say I ‘keep up’ with them as in always knowing what they have but I do tend to look at the mac site a lot and know about upcomming launches via temptalia of course and I peek at urban decay if they show something cute n an email

Always the same for me:

– Mac (eyeshadow, eyeliner gel, lipgloss, lipstick, powder)
– Yves Saint Laurent (eyeshadow, khôl)
– Chanel (“Le Blanc” face base, lipstick)
– Sisley (khôl, eyeshadow, porcelaine foundation)
– Shiseido (pressed powder, cream eyeshadow)
– Estée Lauder (lipstick)
– Dior (transparent foundation, perfume)
– Benefit (ooh la lift)
– OPI, Essie, China Glaze, Zoya and Bourjois (very good French brand) for nail polishes

Mainly MAC, then NARS, MUFE, Givenchy, Guerlain, Giorgio Armani, Chanel, Lancome, L’Occitane en Provence and every new fragrance on the market!

Mostly MAC, NARS, and YSL. Also, Bare Escentuals, Philosophy, Benefit, and Stila…and I’m always looking for new and interesting products 🙂

Nars Avatar

MAC, most definitely. Giorgio Armani and Cle de Peau beaute always send me their flyers so I sort of can’t not be in the know. Also Shu Uemura, Dior and Chanel.

Brands I DON’T follow:
Urban Decay, Too Faced, Smashbox, Laura Gellar, Cargo

I used to not follow Stila, but their new owner seems really cool and with it, so I’m going to give her a chance 🙂

MAC (of course everything exspecially their lipstick) , urban decay (i have all thier palettes and their e/s is so soft, oh and ofcorse their 24/7 eyeliners and eyeliner glitter), bare minerals (i like their sets, and i love their Buxom ligloss), maybe some NARS for ther blush (but their way too expensive, MUFE just b/c of their pretty wild color selecton. and i just found a good drugstore CVS brand Milani (their eyeshadows are really pretty with good color payoff). I used to like clinique when i was younger but not anymore- i only like their skincare.I am interested in trying the laura gellar e/s and face mineralized stuff( they look and feel so pretty). Ive never tried any high end brands though- chanel, Lancome, shu umera, dior, YSL. I dont understand the hype about stila, too faced and boby brown brands. Bath and body works, the body shop and philosophy for some good smellies!
For nailpolishes- OPI , and China glaze(recently got into it).
The places i shop are at sephora, ulta, CVS, or at the department stores or the online websites.
I find everything about eveything on Temptalia daily- i have no life right now b/c im a new grad RN waiting for hospital responses.

I don’t descriminate!! 🙂 I follow all make up because it is the love of my life. haha (kidding) But I do try to keep up with everything starting from drugstore to La Prairie.

MAC! and chanel, the main two i actually buy. some others like too faced and urban decay, but i only use one or two specific products from them (like UDPP). all other high end ones, but more for entertainment rather than actually buying them. im still waiting to hear about the new Dolce and Gabbana line from anyone!

Brands I buy from often: MAC, Lancome, OPI, Benefit (no longer available in The Bay, weep!)
Other brands I check out from time to time: Stila, Dior, the Balm

Cindy Avatar

Just MAC, I think they’ve got a lot of exciting, interesting, original, etc. news, or products coming up compared to other brands

Meta Avatar

I follow mostly MAC, NARS and shu uemura. Not so much MAC now given that they tend repeat their collections abit; eg, spring collections tend to be pastel-y colours, summer collections, bronzer, stronger warm colours, etc.

Saira Avatar

Mac, Urban Decay, Loreal, Maybelline. I also like having a look around the make-up counters to check out any new products across different ranges.
