We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

It’s a combination of my mood, the weather and the situation I’ll be in (there are scents I wouldn’t wear to school, working in close proximity with students and other staff – things like Clinique Aromatics Elixir, which I really like but which isn’t everyone’s cup of tea…ditto Guerlain Shalimar and a few others.
It’s a combination of my mood and what I’m going to wear. Many fragrances evoke colors to me, so when I’m in the mood for a particular fragrance, I match my clothes to it. Likewise, if I choose the outfit first, I match the fragrance to the color.
I have no clue! I don’t know why I select one over another. They are all displayed on my vanity and then I have a little tray that I keep the testers in. Usually, as I am walking past it to go into another room or I have finished applying my makeup, I reach over and get one. Most of my perfumes are florals so it really comes down to which flower is most prevalent and what appeals to me that day. Lately, I have been reaching for my Joy more than anything else. I will stick with one for awhile and then all of a sudden something else appeals and I will wear that for awhile. I don’t have a ton of perfumes and mostly just repurchase my same old standbys. My most worn are Joy, Issey by Issey Miyake, Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet, Tainted Love, Vanille Intense and Waterlillies with an honorable mention to By The Fireside which I will undoubtedly start wearing more now that winter has officially entered the area, ahead of schedule.
A lot of times, it’s the weather here in the Phoenix metro area. This, plus my mood and where (or IF) I’m going to. I tend to reserve the really potent fragrances for our cooler season and where I won’t be in close crowded situations/venues.
How I choose my fragrance of the day is quite whimiscal – sometimes it relates to the season, something light for summer, spicier for autumn/winter; at other times it just about what I feel like using or what ‘suits’ what I am wearing.
I wear Mugler’s Alien all year but if I switch it up, I’ll usually choose a lighter fragrance, like Blooming Bouquet or J’Adore D’eau from Dior, Maison Margiela Flower Market or Nest Wisteria Blue during the day and wear a heavier option like J’Adore Infinissime or J’Adore L’or, Gucci Bloom Profumo di Fiori or Tom Ford Jasmine Rouge (which I wish lasted longer) at night.
Usually mood/whim.
Definitely mood and also sort of… the kind of day I hope to have?
Usually mood and weather. I prefer woddy, aromatic, fresh spicy scents for summer and amber, smoky, tobacco, warm spicy scents when it’s getting colder.
For me, walk into the bedroom and which ever bottle speaks to me. I do belong to a perfume forum, and they have synch days, I do Friday which is the longest running. Last Friday was a perfume which has everything but the kitchen sink thrown at it. In other words, lots of notes, the one I picked has 27.
Special holidays get what I believe fits Xmas Eve is always Caron Nuit de Noel extract.
