We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! The holiday spirit with a beauty-filled countdown! Who else has succumbed to the allure of a Beauty Advent Calendar? It’s not just about the daily surprises; it’s a festive journey of self-care and glam.

No, I’m quite picky with my products and I don’t want a random assortment of products. Also the festivities don’t get me.
I am more interested in coffee or tea advent calendars, but just for the idea of being able to sample multiple flavors.

Agree. I do tea advent calendars, because I know I will drink all the tea. I don’t do makeup advents or subscription boxes, because I know I’ll get products I don’t use, shades I don’t care for, etc. Also, for the price of the calendar or a few subscription boxes, you can get that one luxury product you’ve been really wanting and that you’ll use all the time.

Lol no. They’re almost always a terrible value as most of what they contain are things you can get as a free gift with purchase. Only if I knew I wanted everything in one and the math added up to it being cheaper than just outright buying the things I wanted would I consider it. So far it’s never made financial sense to buy one.

No I haven’t and really don’t plan to purchase one at anytime. They are always pretty poor in quality and many of the products are ones that I would never use. I know it must be difficult to make up a beauty Advent Calendar as everyone is so different and even in skincare there are different needs. It just wouldn’t be worth it. I spend a lot of time, money and thought to make my daughter’s Advent Calendar every year and it is something that we both enjoy doing. I had thought to do one for her roommate as they have known each other since they were 4 years old and went through all grades of school together. Now that they are sharing an apartment I thought I would do something for her but when I mentioned it to my daughter she was very against it and said that it is something special that I do for her and she would rather I didn’t do anything for her friend. I of course, do give her Christmas gifts and usually a gift card also so that she can get herself something special. This year I found a lovely fresh water pearl and moonstone necklace that I know she will love and I have picked up a gift card. I was a little surprised that my daughter felt so strongly about it. I guess I shouldn’t have been though!

Best one was last years as Sephora opened in the UK and did an introductory offer. I prefer more make up than skin care in mine but it’s normally the other way around !

I’ve considered it many times, but the prices are either far too high to splurge on for a personal purchase – or I don’t feel I would use half the products.

I have some years ago, just for fun and not very expensive ones, I thin I did it for two years. It was fun, I used quite a lot of the stuff as I recall it. Then I realized I should really use everything I’d bought instead, before expiration date and that was it for advent calendars.
I would love a tea one, with no fruity, flowery or spice blends, just regular tea.
My son got a LEGO advent calendar once, he loved it, every day meant a small build of some kind and in the end all the pieces could be built into one larger building. We all had fun with that one.

Yes, I have. Last year, I bought the Sydney Grace Advent calendar. I loved it. It was so much fun. The little packages had wooden cut out snowflakes attached as decoration and I added them to my Christmas tree every day. They are all different sizes. The products, of course, were awesome. I didn’t get any duplicated eyeshadow with what I had in my collection. I got some products that I’d never tried…blush, cream eyeshadow, glitter which I did give to my niece. And a brush. The value far exceeded the cost. I’d buy it again this year but I haven’t seen it advertised.

No. They’re never worth it for me as they always contain more products I’d never use than products I would. I’m vampire pale and have ultra sensitive, reactive and acne prone skin so products typically considered universal or suited to a wide variety of skintones or skin types won’t work for me.
