We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Something with more jewel tones….emerald greens, sapphires, amethysts, gold….really DEEP saturated shades for winter. I haven’t seen a blush collection for winter that has individual blushes. It’s all palettes and they include highlighters and bronzers, which I don’t use. I would love a collection with just individual blushes with lipsticks and glosses to coordinate with them…..deep luminous reds, burgundies and berries. I’m just not finding anything I love so far.

Being someone who is looking for an individual blush that lasts all day, I completely agree with you Leslie. I don’t do bronzers or highlighters either and the lipstick offerings so far this year have been quite disappointing, especially from CP’s Lux Lipstick range.

Your wish made me google Viseart in Bijoux Royale. Not that it exists anymore. Most of their ‘bigger’ palettes are gone, replaced with ‘edits’ and minis. If they were in different packaging, I doubt I would recognize them as Viseart. I thought these current palettes were complementary rather like the ND minis. No. At one time, V was the standard bearer. Now I think the cardboard containers are lovely. The big plastic ones were serviceable, but clunky. I just don’t get the revamping.

A re-release of Dior Grand Bal Collection for Holiday 2012, but reformulated to a consistent A rating quality, unlike what we’ve come to expect from Dior. I wish I had a dupe of that entire collection to use once a year for the rest of time. Same goes for their spring 2012 release.

Me? I’m just waiting to see how good the curation of the yearly Huda Beauty bigger palette is! I know that it’s not actually “holiday”, but after Charlotte Tilbury’s tepid holiday collection, MAC looks fairly uninspired this year also, not to mention that UD no longer bothers to do a major Vice palette for years and years now…I’m just not expecting anything extraordinary this year, I’m sad to say.
Perhaps something really wintry in its vibes since I live in this inferno desert where yesterday it was 102°F in MID OCTOBER!!! 🥵🌡️🔥

Wow Christine, I would buy that in a second. It would be perfect. I am not asking for much just something that isn’t red/orange/pink/brown. I don’t mind an accent shade in any of those colors but that is all I have seen this season. So, I am interested in the Chanel palette and maybe the one Tom Ford palette, Lumiere D’Hiver. The reason I am interested in it, besides boredom with everything else, is the one silver shade. In videos that I have watched on YT, it appears to lay down and create just a wet silver look on the lid. Now would it work like that on 70 year old lids? It is the best I can hope for out of this season’s crop of holiday releases. Even though I mostly trust the opinions of the YT’ers that I follow, the ones that only do high end do make me nervous because just because you charge $90 for a lipstick doesn’t make it that much better than other lipsticks and many of the YT’ers really think there is a justifiable difference. High end and over 50 YT’ers have really increased their presence on YT and I am good with that but I don’t know them well enough to know if they are trustworthy or not.
The Chanel release isn’t Earth shattering but at least it isn’t the afore-mentioned shades. It seems to have a few really lovely shades that would be nice one and done shadows and still small enough to be easy to travel with. I am fighting the Cle de Peau Luminizer but not because of the shade, they pretty much all look the same with the exception of the more coral/orange/brown ones that look more like blushes on me, but because of the beautiful “mermaid” faceted compact. I know my daughter would love it so I have been thinking about getting it and then changing out the luminizer to one of the orange/coral/brown ones which would work better for her. I have a few of the holiday compacts from years before and would just move the actual palette from the mermaid one to my stack of refills that I just switch out as the mood strikes. The two shades that come in the mermaid compact are both lovely but neither would likely work for my daughter. They both appear to be more of the icy/white shades. The lovely mint green/pink/lavender one is just beautiful as long as I don’t touch it and mess the pretty pattern up!
