We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Maison Margiela On a Date. I love it and with cooler weather on its way (ha!), it’s perfect (if the cooler weather ever arrives).
If it’s still hot in Canada, then we know that there’s definitely something awry, Mariella! Down here in the Phoenix metro area, we just had a tease of several days of cooler weather (80°+F), but we’re supposed to go back to 100°F this week. 🥵
Fall is my favourite time of year but it’s never been the longest lasting of our 4 seasons but now….yeesh. Yesterday, the temp was 30 C (no idea what that is in F anymore – we’ve been metric for so long that I’ve forgotten the “old system) and today’s maybe 1 degree cooler. I had started planning and packing my Japan wardrobe but it’s unseasonably hot there too so I may have to take out all the long pants and long sleeved t-shirts I packed and replace them with more crops and short sleeved shirts and just bring one or 2 sweaters and a rain jacket. You have my sympathies for your unbearably hot weather, Nancy.
It might be hot where Mariella is but in Alberta we’re expecting a rain/snow mix tonight. Sunday will be patio weather, my migraines top the charts this time of year.
Weekdays: Chanel No. 5 Eau Premiere
Weekends: Guerlain Jicky EDP
Bedtime: Guerlain Shalimar EDT
So I’m not the only one who likes to apply a spritz of Shalimar at bed-time. I find it so warm and relaxing.
It’s strong at first, but the vanilla dry-down is so amazing!
Big Guerlain fan. But not Shalimar. My grandmother’s #1. Not because it has a negative association, but because a bottle exploded in my suitcase and I haven’t been able to abide it since.
OMG, I can imagine how an exploded bottle of Shalimar would put you off of it for good! Guerlain is my favorite brand…I own 10 Guerlain fragrances, with a couple more on my want list.
Me too….and they all were formulated before I was born…which means they are >75, lol
I don’t have luxury fragrances like Christine, but I’ve been loving my Dolly Parton perfume Tennessee Sunset lately. It’s like a beautiful cupcake. Also another one of her fragrances Smoky Mountain.
Ralph Lauren Beyond Romance! It’s my favorite year-round though, it just works for me.
I just was looking at that at Aura! I was thinking I had liked it in the past🤣
That new one that I bought on sale from Ulta by Juicy Couture eau de parfum mini in Blooming Babe! Very fresh and invigorating mentally, especially with the super hot summer we had, and that the heat is making a comeback 😞
I love fall scents. Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir is one I love in cooler weather.
Estee Lauder Aerin Rose is a favorite all year and since I don’t really equate scent with seasons, I also enjoy wearing my Izzy Miyake L’eau de Izzy pretty much all year. I tend to equate scent with feelings rather than seasons.
Same as beginning of September (and since I ran out of that discontinued Touchland hand sanitizer I used as a body spray): Polo Red Intense by Ralph Lauren, which I occasionally spritz on before I head out the door. There are a couple of other fragrances I have in the same area, but that one feels like it smells the least obviously perfumey, if that makes sense.
Commodity Milk!!! So yummy.
La Colle Noire from Dior. It’s one of my favorites, I enjoy smelling it on me during the day. It’s a bit floral, but not headache inducing, very well balanced.
Cartier L’Envol! It’s my fall/winter scent and it’s been getting cooler recently so I’ve been happy to go back to it!
Creed Himalaya. Not even sure why. But it’s a fall, more winter scent. Obviously, given the name.
A lot of Lira by Xerjoff , Can’t Stop Loving You by Kilian, and Lovefest Burning Cherry by Kayali.
I have a variety that I use on a daily, bedtime and special occasion basis:
Daily: EL’s White Line and Cimmaron (lately)
Bedtime: EL’s Youth Dew
Special Occasion: Bottega Veneta’s Knot, YSL’s Y and Laura Tonnato’s Roses.
I’m working through some Atelier minis I purchased from an Oriental tea collection, mimosa indigo and philtre ceylon are faves, they’re unexpected and nice layered with one of the other popular Atelier citrus fragrances like clementine or orange sanguine. Or a Jo Malone day, fig & lotus or wood sage.
I took a thing for Lancôme La Collection, I own 3 of them Magie, Sikkim and Cuir. I have been wearing Magie (not Magie Noire) the most.
It’s still summer weather here and over 80 yesterday and since I’m back doing patient care in the hospital I wear something light and airy. This week it’s been 724 by MFK and Krinos by Angelo’s creations olfactives. Both put me in mind of crisp clean sheets after hanging on a clothesline outside.
Altho I wore Mancera Coco Vanille last night to sleep since I’m off today.
