Recent Purchases/Rediscoveries: I don’t think any orders arrived this week… they arrived late last week, haha.

Weekend plans: I feel like I have something planned, but it’s not on my calendar, and I can’t remember, so hopefully I don’t actually have anything on deck other than the usual. I’m either going to do the Liqueur pups’ 7-week photoshoot later this afternoon (I’d like to do some makeup photos/swatches first while they’re still napping away) or tomorrow.

Do you have any interesting things going on September? I’m excited for the Liqueur pups’ adoption, which will be September 16th, and I hope they all find forever homes easily! I’m looking forward to temperatures cooling down more and more as we head into fall here.

Psst… since it’s Friday and we’re heading into the weekend, if you have some downtime, consider playing one of the games hubby and I have created! 🙂 Here’s a breakdown of what we have:

  • Adoptle (guess the name of an adoptable pet in six guesses)
  • Concludle (figure out the subject within six clues)
  • Mislettered (guess one letter at a time to figure out the phrase/quote)
  • Word Frenzy (find as many words from the letters available before the shark devours them)

This week's doggo photo/video...

Haul: I am actually in Seattle right now and looking forward to doing some serious makeup shopping but I arrived last night and promptly got sick so will have to wait until I feel a bit better. I seem to have picked up a little tummy bug. I have my shopping list though, LOL!

Weekend plans: Besides the above mentioned shopping, my daughter, her roommate and I are seeing Ed Sheeran Saturday night. I have seen him once before in concert and really enjoyed it so looking forward to seeing him again. Hoping I am feeling better.

September plans: The reason I came over to Seattle, besides seeing my daughter, shopping and seeing Ed Sheeran, is to pick up my grand-kitty. My daughter and a group of her friends are going to Disneyland for a week and since her roommate is going there is no one to take care of Sophie. She will come and spend about a month with me. Then I have to figure out how I am getting her home. My October/November plans are putting a crimp in getting her home. I have already made 5 trips to Seattle this summer and spending so much time in my car is hard on my back. I walk around hunched over for 3 days after I get there and again when I get home. I am headed to Tennessee in October, have an eye exam in October and seeing Queen in early November. Things are spaced out in such a way as to make it difficult to add a trip to Seattle. Time will tell!

My oh my, how these babies have grown! Campari is going to be HUGE I’m thinking. And Kahlua is such a stunning beauty! More and more apparent as she grows up into herself.

Purchases/rediscoveries: Nothing purchased or rediscovered.

Weekend plans: A lung/chest CT scan this afternoon because my Doc wants a better look at what’s going on with my lungs more recently due to a worsening of asthma and shortness of breath. Also as a precaution due to my being an ex-smoker. Zoom meeting tomorrow morning. Enduring another weekend indoors because it’s about to get super hot again.

Interesting things going on in September? Hopefully, we will begin to COOL DOWN! I am so sick and tired of our record breaking hotter than I can bear summer. Can’t even use the pool during the daytime because I got a bit of heat related issues last week when I went for a swim. I’m just done with the desert heat!

Awwww, I love them! So soft looking and huge already! It’s also super comforting to hear your voice.

Recent Purchases/Rediscoveries: I am enjoying the NIVEA SUN Protect Super Water Gel SPF 50 PA+++ that I got on Amazon. My skin is more sensitive with the Sunday Riley Luna Sleep Night Oil, so I make sure to reapply sunscreen regularly, and the pump applicator makes it so much easier!

Weekend plans: Read a bit further into the book my friend recommended “Karl Lagerfeld: A Life in Fashion” by Alfons Kaiser. It’s a well-written biography of a very eccentric man!

Do you have any interesting things going on September? My mom will be visiting me for two days after the US Open. It’s her first time ever visiting me in Philadelphia, so I look forward to having quality time and showing her around. I’m also hoping to complete installation of some track lights!

Purchases: I found Bobbi Brown eye cream at Winners for about 1/3 what it retails for here in Canada. I had a sample of it some years ago and liked it a lot so was glad to find it for such a good price. Rediscoveries – there was something – I was so pleased with myself to use something from the past and thought “I need to remember this to post at Temptalia” and of course now I’ve forgotten…

Weekend plans: older son is home but leaving on Sunday so I want to spend as much time with him as possible. Gym tomorrow (the tyranny of the Apple watch – if I do a workout tomorrow, I get a “limited edition badge”! It’s alarming how this watch can really push me into doing things when I’d rather sit around like a slug! I have a sewing project I want to finish as well. That’s about it, really.

September interesting things: My favourite niece is getting married on Sept. 9, so that’s a biggie (she’s such a sweetie and her mom – hubs’s baby sister – is just an angel in human form). School starts up, which is always fun, challenging, crazy and exciting. And I want to do a bit of sewing in preparation for Japan (I want to sew a few things to coordinate with what I’m planning to take so I can “streamline”.

Hi. I purchased the new Natasha Denona Nude palette. I was a bit worried after Christine posted her swatch pictures, but on my very fair skin my palette resembles swatches by ND. Maybe skin tone is causing differences? I know there is only one shadow that is too pinky orange for my taste, but otherwise I like it. I’m definitely a neutral kinda girl.
Well…I finally quit my job. It just became too unbearable. I’ll be off for a vacation until Labor Day and then I’ll start my new job doing the same thing, but hopefully, for a better company. I have plans to visit family, do some gardening if it quits raining long enough, and relax. Catch up on some reading.

Recent Purchases/Rediscoveries: I was in need of a new foundation so I purchased Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Perfect Glow Flawless Oil-Free Foundation, it was 25% off at Sephora.

Weekend plans: I had a cortisone shot in my plantar fasciitis this morning so I will be doing as little as possible for the next 3 – 4 days so that it can work properly. Fingers crossed it takes the pain away!

Do you have any interesting things going on September? We have vacation time to use so we’re trying to figure out where we want to go. Probably a driving vacation as we want to bring the dog and I don’t think he would do well flying.

Recent Purchases/Rediscoveries: ND’s Need a Nude palette. It’s beautiful, neutral and most of the shades are working just fine on my tan skin. The shimmers are gorgeous, will pair well with the Glam and My Dream palettes. Rediscovery is Georgio Armani Acqua di Gioia, this layers nicely with crisp citrus summer and woodsy fall fragrances, perfect for in between season time.

Weekend plans: moving, upgrades are awesome, moving is always hard work lol.

Do you have any interesting things going on September? Getting situated and enjoying my new place!

Gosh those puppies are so darn cute! They are so adventurous and love their toys and enjoy the company of their siblings. They are so beautiful.
Recent Purchases: Nothing really
Rediscoveries: Maybelline’s Mauve for Me lipstick, which I have worn a lot this week.
Weekend Plans: This Sunday we are hosting Harry’s 3rd birthday afternoon tea, with my twin sister coming over to celebrate her cancer free diagnosis as well. We are combining the two events. So I have been doing some extra housework leading up to this weekend and today, Saturday, I am about to hit the shopping centre to buy the fresh food I am going to make for the event.
Harry is the sweetest little boy you could ever wish to meet and I want this to be very special for him.

Looking forward to in September: My eldest son’s 40th birthday (cannot believe it) and Father’s day. So two big events coming up in that month.

I am very sad to read of those in the Northern Hemisphere who are afflicted by either floods or bushfires – what an awful tragedy for all concerned.

RECENT PURCHASES: None

WEEKEND PLANS: Hubby and I are in Kent, WA for an airplane product expo. My back is acting up, so I’ll stay in the motel and crochet and treat with ibuprofen and a heating pad. Maybe we’ll do something more fun in the afternoon.

DO YOU HAVE ANY INTERESTING THINGS GOING ON IN SEPTEMBER?
Aug. 31 is our 32nd wedding anniversary, so we’ll probably go out to a nice dinner. My son’s best friend/roommate’s GF is moving here from Kansas after Labor Day, so I’m looking forward to meeting her in person. I’ve been talking to her online, and she seems like a sweetheart.

Recent Purchases/Rediscoveries: Guerlaine Madame Batifole lipstick, I’ve been using it at least three times this past week. I think that’s it for rediscoveries.
I’ve not purchased anything.

Weekend plans: Just resting, and resting some more.

Do you have any interesting things going on September? No, I guess I’ll just continue resting. I’ll also hug Stubbs a lot, but I do that all the time.
