Givenchy Fuchsia in the Know and MAC Red Dwarf Pro Longwear (LE) lipsticks. Of course, I have to give a nod to MAC Craving, though because I wear it almost every day and because it’s now discontinued, it’s more “Alas….” than “oooh”.

Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet in the shade Intemporelle. It’s my absolute perfect nude and the formula is wonderful. Also, Chanel Rouge Allure in Pirate, which is the most beautiful, perfect red lipstick ever.
I love Pirate and nearly chose it for my list but MAC’s Red Dwarf sort of nudged it aside.
This question is like torture for a lipstick lover. It will feel like I am turning my back on some of my babies, LOL! I feel like I should go with Elizabeth Arden’s Red Door Red since I mention it so often here on the blog. Although it is a warmer toned red, it still looks beautiful on my really pigmented lips. Something about my lip color just makes that particular red pop. However, I would really love to have Midnight Rose by Chanel back again. I have the used up bullet that I can stick a pinkie into to get just a stain on my finger. Still the most beautiful deep pink/magenta/raspberry sort of shade. I think that one color is my reason for having well over 100 similar shade lipsticks. I am sure I am still looking for that color. Isn’t it amazing how you can 100 shades of the same color and have no two be exactly the same? I mean between shades, tones, depth and finish, they all look and wear differently. It is my excuse for continuing to buy deep pink lipsticks.
I have a similar issue but with red nail polish. I’ve been on the hunt for a dupe of Chanel Dragon since it was discontinued and I now have 35+ bottles of almost identical red polish, none of which are a match for Dragon.
Yes, it sounds like we are both chasing a dream. I think brands would make a lot of money if they paid attention to the shades that everyone is looking for from their discontinued lines. I know a lot of people are looking for a particular shade of lipstick, blush, eye shadow, nail polish and sadly, we won’t find it. Just today, Christine mentioned a blush that still makes her go “ahhhh” and I had started looking for it last night in response to another search and cannot find it anywhere. Obviously people must have loved it if it isn’t being sold on a secondary market site.
MAC luster lipstick in Freckletone and Jubilee both d/c. Lancome original Creme De Maroon shade also d/c ( I did replace it with 546 But First Cafe and i am really happy with it)
MAC Freckletone is one of the first lipsticks I bought from MAC. Bought in early 00’s when nude lip were popular. Bought a few backups of it too
Fenty Goji Gang never lets me down, perfect combo of plum/mauve with a tiny shimmer :heaven:
PMG Labs LuxeTrance Lipstick in She’s Heaven – my most perfect “nude” lipstick ever, RIP.
MAC Yoni Crush LE – perfect tone of juicy red for me.
UD Catfight Revolution lipstick – another one that can still take my breath away, but also dc’d.

Pat McGrath Madame Greige was the perfect grey-mauve, and the formula is so amazing. Too bad it’s DC’d.
Tom Ford’s Lip Spark in Trance has an amazing colour and sheen, and I’ve received positive comments when I’ve worn it.

I’m still in love with Charlotte Tilbury M.I. Kiss (formerly Bond Girl) for every day and Besame Cherry Red for a statement lip
Bond Girl is one I will repurchase, it’s a really good one, like you said for every day use.
Lisa Eldridge’s Velvet Blush lipstick and Gloss Embrace in Blush are MI Kiss/Bond Girl color dupes so if I’m not wearing one of the lipsticks, I’m usually wearing the gloss. I love the Gloss Embrace formula and have Blush in multiple purses and one at my desk

A great russet browny red shade or a bronze would be ideal for me. Or a perfect orange red.
Some near examples are CP’s Foolish, Tea Thyme, Brick (long d/c), Maybelline’s Spice for Me.
Two blues come to mind: Poe (original Studded Kiss, not SK Crème) by KVD and Lip Tar in Technopagan by OCC. Ones that I still think about a lot because I missed out on them: MAC’s VG Rihanna II and Urban Decay’s Studded. I can’t remember why I wasn’t able to get the former, whereas the latter was discontinued before I got around to it…
I think I mentioned Technopagan when answering which brands we missed. I answered Becca and OCC. I loved Technopagan and Strange and Unusual.
MAV VG Rhianna II was a fun lipstick, I used it a lot. Pity you missed it.
Probably not VGR2 for a reasonable price, but I’m sure I could find a tube of Studded secondhand somewhere (like how I finally got my hands on Rebel via Poshmark). Haven’t gotten around to looking, though.
Givenchy Framboise Velours (#315), which is no longer available. When my current tube (3rd one I’ve purchased) is gone, that’s it. 😢
UD F Bomb and Guerlain Rouge G Madame Batifole.
I’m sure there are some other lipsticks with the same impact, I think there’s a Lancome one, but I can’trecall the name, and am by far to lazy to go and check.
I missed out on Chanel Dragon, I have googled it and it’s a beauty.
It’ll be interesting to see what others say.

There’s a color called Living in Sin by Too Faced. It’s very old and discontinued. But I keep searching for something similar. It’s a plummy mauvey sheer but actually stays on, with some silver sparkle. I take it to stores all the time to see if I can find anything similar. I cannot.
