We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Moira for me too…..I tried the liquid blushes on your recommendation and love them! Best liquid blushes I’ve tried to date…..I also tried the Kosas setting powder and was pretty imressed also…Looking forward to trying other items from Moira now that I know the quality of their blushes…..
That’s one that I am certainly interested in trying (Moira).
As for what I actually have tried and was very impressed by the quality of and also the CARE with which was taken by to insure that they arrived to me safely and intact: Sydney Grace and Fantasy Cosmetica!
Also, even though I didn’t order it myself, but was gifted a perfect purple palette from by a very good friend, I am blown away by the quality of Menagerie Cosmetics Flight Club! Enough so that I intend to order either the Sugar Glider or the Lion one at some point.
Another gifted brand that I now LOVE is Clionagh! The 3 shades that I received are very “me” and excellent quality.
My answer would be Moira as well! I have a whole wishlist of things I want to try from them now!
I haven’t been back into makeup long enough to know but at this moment in time, it would likely be a Korean brand like Dasique or Missha. I will definitely check out Moir.
They are new to me but Lethal Cosmetics. Really impressed with the quality of their mattes. I also really like Clionadh. Smooth, pigmented , shine but not flaky like other indie brands. So worth it!
I don’t shop “online only” companies (I know…I know…people are probably tired of hearing this) so I’ve not tried any new brands/companies, just “new to me” brands. I do really like the I’m from Rice toner but I don’t think it counts as “new”, just “new to me”…
Moira has been great. Vampyre Cosmetics have been pretty awesome, too.
Yes, some of Moira’s products are really great value – their single eyeshadows you reviewed some time ago and their liquid blushes, but the trouble is that there are no stockists in retail here for me to see them personally. I can order them from an online retailer, who do sell a variety of their products. I wouldn’t mind checking out their lipsticks.
But otherwise, there hasn’t been many brands start up recently due to lingering effects of the pandemic.
I’m going to jump on the Moira train too. Love their cream shadows and glitter pots. I also have to talk about Glassgods, a Swedish indie brand. Their foiled shades and multichromes are breathtaking.
It has been around almost 3 years (so a little outside of the stated range), but I am really impressed with Rare Beauty (Selena Gomez’s brand). I generally have been disappointed with celebrity brands, but I love the Rare Beauty packaging and the products themselves are really nice, especially for the price. The liquid blush is one of my faves.
Almost everything is new to me because I haven’t worn makeup in about 3-4 years (even before the pandemic). I go into Sephora, and I don’t recognize anything! I guess I’d say the Haus Labs Triclone Foundation. I swatched it in store, and it felt and looked fantastic, and it gets really great reviews, so I’m excited. Can’t wait for it to cool down so I can actually wear foundation.
Cosmic Brushes is a new brand that has impressed me. I enjoy their affordable palettes and color stories, especially the Serenity and Muse palettes.
Oh wow, Moira seems popular! I was glad to see they ship to my country, but free shipping starts at an order value of $150, which would be TONS of makeup with Moira’s prices. For smaller orders, the shipping is really expensive.
Anyway, not a new brand, but the last “new to me” brand to impress me was Givenchy. My evaluation is based on one single product, their liquid balm, so I don’t know how well I can vouch for the entire brand, though.
It’s not that new, but LYS, especially if one has medium to deep skintones. The foundation, concealer and bronzer stick have been my go to products for the past year. Light-med coverage, blendable, long wearing, skin like finish. Excellent foundation products!
Not new, but they keep at it in there “gloss and metallic” arena, Karla Cosmetics in UK
