It has been awhile since I used one, but today I did! I’ll post the results! I used Glamlite Pizza Slice – Veggie Lover’s Slice.
Oops and I forgot to add that it blended well and was very pigmented.
This morning, in an effort to work through my way too large assortment of palettes, I used Viseart Paris Love Letter Entendu on my left eye, and Viseart Soleil La Plage Etendu on my right eye. Both performed well, typical of Viseart’s formula, i.e. easily blendable with some fallout.
As a side note, I’m always amused by how I can get very similar looks from different palettes which has caused me to rethink purchases. So much looks the same applied!
You are so right, Christina D, about how similar so many shadows look once applied. I’ll get all obsessed about having this or that new shadow or palette (usually for a few particular shades in the palette) when, in reality, one shimmery peach shadow or one satin-y grey shadow looks pretty much like the FIVE others I have!
My daily palette lately has been Natasha Denona Face and Eye Glam in Light, so that’s what I put on today as I usually do my makeup during my commute.
One of my favorites, Pat McGrath Eternal Eden. The quality is above and beyond on some of PMG’s eyeshadows, like the ones in this palette. The mattes just melt into each other so beautifully, and the shimmer I used was gorgeous. The look made me happy all day – I usually don’t buy quads, but I can’t recommend this palette enough.
Believe it or not, it was the original Naked palette. That and Dior’s Feel 5-pan (which I used yesterday and the day before – does a 5-pan or a 4 pan count as a palette?)
Radiant reflections! Inspiring colors and great performance for both mattes and shimmers. Coffee talk light by Sydney grace for a transition shade! Love that palette too- long wearing and strong performance
Easy peasy! Natasha Denona Yucca palette has been officially relegated to HG status for a green or green leaning eyeshadow palette. I’ve used it in every look since receiving it. And that’s saying a LOT as to how good and beautiful the looks are that I have gotten from it!
Today I used the Maybelline’s Burgundy Bar – the only DS palette I own and worthy of a purchase. The variety of neutrals, including a variety of champagne, soft golds and a cool toned taupe are cream based and apply smoothy. The burgundy and bronze shades add that pop of colour in the same cream based formula.
Natasha Denona Bronze. Fantastic quality, beautiful colors, blends Ike a dream. You can’t get a ton of different looks out of it, but the ones you get are gorgeous.
Vieve Ninetease – I absolutely love it. The mattes are pigmented but buildable and the shimmers are impactful and smooth. They’re not sparkly foiled metallics but I prefer that as they don’t emphasize lid texture or shed glitter on my face. The purpley/gray color story brings a unique grungy vibe to my entirely cool toned collection and 8 months after purchasing, I still reach for it regularly.
The Color of Rain by Glossgods Cosmetics, a Swedish indy brand. It’s a jaw dropping, awe inspiring multi chrome palette for less than $50. Just gorgeous, I literally gasped out loud when I swatched the palette. Highly recommend this brand.
What a lovely palette!
I had to check it out, as I do with all brands mentioned in comments here. I love to find new indy brands.
You won’t regret it! I have their neutrals palette and the all green palette.
Today, I used ColorPop Aurora Struck. Although I was, at first, excited about the color story and variety of beautiful cool-toned colors, the looks I have achieved thus far have been just OK. The dark mattes are patchy on me and some of the shimmers don’t blend well. I could probably turn this into a good 9- or 12-pan palette, but many of the 30 shades just don’t work well on mature eyelids.
Victoria Beckham Tuxedo, I added a little of Becca Pearl to get some little shine to the all matte quad.
It’s a beauty of a palette if you want/need an all matte grey toned colour story. It’s expensive and you can get shades like these from a lot of brands.
Positive: Easy to blend, enough difference in shades and depth, I would guess office friendly.
Negative: Expensive, guess that’s it.
I love Tuxedo! I only wear cool tones and almost didn’t buy it because I can dupe it many times over but the formula is great so I’m really happy I have it. Pearl is still one of my favorite highlights and I think I’ll use Tuxedo tomorrow so I can try then together!
