Comments that do not adhere to our comment policy may be removed. Discussion and debate are highly encouraged but we expect community members to participate respectfully. Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!
Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).
We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!
We try to approve comments within 24 hours (and reply to them within 72 hours) but can sometimes get behind and appreciate your patience! 🙂 If you have general feedback, product review requests, off-topic questions, or need technical support, please contact us directly. Thank you for your patience!
Your skin tone/coloring: pale, cool
Least favorite highlighter formula? I don’t know that I have a “least favourite” formula but if I had to pick one overall, it might be cream
Favorite highlighter formula? the discontinued UD Afterglow 8 Hour powder highlighter formula and some of the Becca powder ones
Powder or cream highlighter? Overall, I’d pick powder – I find it so much easier to use and to blend out without messing up my base product (if I’m actually wearing any foundation or similar product)
Your skin tone/coloring: above with freckles, green eyes, brown hair.
Least favorite highlighter formula? Any overly sparkly formula. I have fine lines on my cheeks and sparkle tends to emphasize that.
Favorite highlighter formula? I love the Rare Beauty liquid and powder highlighters a lot, but my favorite formula is the Natasha Denona powder highlighter formula, as it makes my cheeks look smoother.
Powder or cream highlighter? I use both, powder layered over liquid or cream. It lasts longer that way.
Your skin tone/coloring: Light neutral skin tone, green eyes, s&p hair
Least favorite highlighter formula? The formula of ABH Moonglow Kit
Favorite highlighter formula? The formula of Dior Skin Nude Luminizer
Powder or cream highlighter? Powder
Your skin tone/coloring: Fair cool
Least favorite highlighter formula? Anything that shows too much texture or is too dark for my skin tone. Also, anything that doesn’t blend well. I was most recently disappointed by the light option for the Pat McGrath Bridgerton highlighter that came out last year, as well as the Glamlight Scooby highlighter from last Halloween. Both blended horribly on me.
Favorite highlighter formula? I’m not a Jaclyn stan, but her powder accent light highlight in Iced is so flattering. It’s also easy to build up.
Powder or cream highlighter? Powder! I want to beam for the Goddesses.
Your skin tone/coloring: Under my name (blue-green eyes, dark hair)
Least favorite highlighter formula? Glitter bombs!
Favorite highlighter formula? Baked geleé or a creamy powder.
Powder or cream highlighter? Powder! Although I do like a good stick highlighter in summer for a healthy, natural looking glow.
Your skin tone/coloring: MAC NC 20
Least favorite highlighter formula? Glittery highlighters.
Favorite highlighter formula? Becca Moonstone. MAC Cream Color Base in Shell. Benefit High Beam
Powder or cream highlighter? Lately I’ve been into cream highlights like MAC Cream Color Base in Shell or liquid highlights like Benefit High Beam over powder. If I wear powder it’s Becca Moonstone
Your skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones
Least favorite highlighter formula? A glittery or overly shiny one
Favorite highlighter formula? It would be a semi matte
Powder or cream highlighter? I would prefer a powder highlighter over a cream one
Your skin tone/coloring: med tan, slightly olive.
Least favorite highlighter formula? Anything dry, too dusty, or glittery. Or anything too goopy and sticky.
Favorite highlighter formula? Smooth, shimmery and layers well with other products, doesn’t accent texture.
Powder or cream highlighter? Both, I like to use thin layers, each has their place depending on the season and look I want to achieve.
Currently Refy Gloss highlighter, Tower 28 bronzino, bareMinerals Blonzers and Hourglass powders are in rotation for a glowy, wears well throughout the day look.
Your skin tone/coloring: very fair, yellow and pink undertones, light ash brown going grey, blue green eyes
Least favorite highlighter formula? Waxy, push up style
Favorite highlighter formula? Gel/powder hybrid like the MSF MAC makes or very fine powder like hourglass
Powder or cream highlighter? I prefer the powder because it wears longer but I enjoy the application of the cream, since I don’t need the moisture, I go for the one that will last the day unless it is for a special occasion that lasts a few hours or less
1. Very fair with cool undertone (MAC NW10)
2. I hate highlighters that are shimmery or sparkly. I just want the shine without the disco ball effect.
3. I love a translucent glossy sheen with a buildable reflectiveness.
4. I have some cream formulas I like but I tend to reach for powder more
