Sephora 12HR Retractable Eyeliner Pencil Swatches
Sephora 12HR Retractable Eyeliner Pencil is a new, twist-up eyeliner that is available in shimmer and matte finishes. A lot of them are sold out online now–there were two sold out when I purchased a few weeks ago shortly after launching–but they may be more readily available in stores. They will also be restocked at some point! Here are swatches…
I own one shade, Shimmer Plum. And I absolutely love it, as it holds up very nicely on my perpetually watery eyes! Now, I’m eyeing up several others, like Shimmer Khaki, Matte Brown and Glitter Black for starters.
So many of these look really nice – Shimmer Green, Shimmer Khaki Green, Shimmer and Matte Navy both (I need something to replace my skinny Marc Jacobs blue pencil liner for my upper waterline). Nancy’s praise for the one she has further entices me to give these a try.
They’re in stock in Canada, I just put shimmer slate and plum in my shopping cart.
Being the little eyeliner hound that I am I am running not walking to get my paws on Slate! Woweee what a gorgeous color 🤍
I hope this new batch of eye pencils are really good – the matte shades look pretty pigmented. Shimmer Espresso and Shimmer Green would be my favourites here.
They all look good. It’ll be interesting to read the reviews.
shock of all shocks: the matte cobalt blue looks like it’s actually nice quality! I swear, matte cobalt blue products are always so chalky. Must be the pigment used.
Yeah, they usually are so dry, crumbly, and/or overly waxy!! Which is a shame, because true ultramarine/cobalt/International Klein Blue is so fun to wear (in clothing, makeup, and otherwise). This one, if anything, looks like it might be a bit too emollient…but hopefully it still performs well in practice.
I have no idea where you’re from, but if Kiko Cosmetics is available in you country, you should try their eyeshadow sticks! they have phenomenal blues, I have all of them
Shimmer Navy and Shimmer Slate Gray are oddly similar. Would make more sense for there to be a true silver in the line instead. (Wait, there isn’t a gold in this line either! Do gold liners not sell as well as I assumed they did?)
